Firewall Windows authorization driver is missing - mdsdrv.sys and therefore cannot start the Windows Firewall

Original title: "Missing mdsdrv.sys driver is missing on my system so I can't launch the firewall. No idea how to restore this driver? "
I tried the solution of SFC/SCANNOW - nothing appears. The TXT file is empty.

I tried the solution repair.bat - nothing - not even sure it ends; the black screen disappears without any messages

I tried the Microsoft Fix - it - nothing outside of a message 'Sorry - you'll have to Fix-it-yourself' telling me the firewall must be enabled manually. YES, I KNOW WHO!

I'm going crazy that I installed and uninstalled various malware detectors/antivirus programs and still no change. I'm sick to death of it and above which, I can not install my new printer/scanner because he needs the firewall so that it can communicate with the laptop and of course the firewall is in a coma so don't not speaking.

My husband has a computer on which the Firewall works, can I just copy the folder more or what I need to back up and reinstall Windows 7?

Hello Kiwipon_CC,

Do you have any other software installed that contains a firewall?  How long have you had this problem and have you made changes to your front the computer this error?  You have installed new software before it happens?

Firstly, I would like to launch a full analysis of the software removal antivirus and malware, you have already done.  I would then run a SFC scan to see if it can fix this problem.

  • Windows Home Server 2011 complete system restore problem = cannot start the LAN adapter

    Home built PC

    Card mother Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H

Network adapter Atheros AR8151 PCI-E on the map connected to the LAN Cat6

    Windows Pro 10

Windows Home Server 2011 on LAN

I had a hard drive failure partial who gave no symptoms or errors except a VERY slow start-up and operation.  I tried to do a restore of the entire system of my Home Server 2011 backups to see if, perhaps, just the image was corrupt.  USB was created and all drivers copied from pilots for the full system restore folder.  Has started the full restoration of the system and loaded the missing NETWORK adapter driver by using the scanner for drivers.  Driver support was successful but no lights NIC and the message "cannot find server".  NETWORK card was working fine before, even with the bad hard drive and also after the abandonment of the restoration.  Installed the new drive hard C:-System and that was the main problem, BUT..., the later to restore attempt was always the NIC starts not problem.  Tried the driver directly at Gigabyte support and drivers drivers for the full restoration of the system of records from several different backups.  No love.  Just NIC does not start after the specified load successful pilot.

    All good advice?

    Hello

Do you mean that the external CD/DVD drive for PC card cannot be recognized in Windows XP?
Hmm I think I have an idea.
I think you should go to the Device Manager and remove the * Texas Instruments PCI controller card bus * and * Toshiba ToPIC100 CardBus controller *.
    Reboot the laptop.

After restarting, the operating system must install new hardware (two controllers carbs) and after this installation, you can try to connect the external PC card, CD/DVD drives again!

    Good luck

These error messages are a pain in the neck to extract useful information.

I suggest that you do a search online 'pilot audio free downloads' and find another audio program for your PC.

If you find something that works for your satisfaction - remove your original pain in neck audio software and make sure you make your audio program newly found the 'default' device.

Realtek and NVIDIA, for example get stuff good free audio driver.

If the new program does not work - it would be a good indication that you have hardware on your PC, drive problems and no amount of play more with to try to correct the audio software will help. Period

I'm weirded out. When I try to start the unit on my VM, I get the following message:

The Virtual Machine cannot be set to Unity mode because:
-The VMWare authorization Service is not running.

So, after a little checking, I realize that indeed, the authorization Service is not running on my host. I am trying to launch and get the following message (translated from the french, sorry):

Windows cannot start the VMWare authorization on your local server. For more information, see Event Viewer. If this isn't a Microsoft service, contact your service provider indicating the service specific error code: 6000002.

Event Viewer is a little more detailed... But not really useful:

Unable to retrieve the token for the user to VMware: unknown error 1385 (0 x 569) (1385)

NONE of these error messages to display more than a few visits on Google, especially not in exact search (with quotes around the exact phrase) mode. I'm at a loss as to what I can operate the unit.

    Technical details:

    Host: Windows XP SP3 (French)

Dell Optiplex 760, Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.33 GHz. 3 GB of Ram.

    VMWare: 7.0.0 build-203739

    Client: Windows XP SP3 (English)

I have attached my log of vmware just in case. Will be extremely grateful for any help!

    Thank you!

    The only other thing I can think is a reinstallation of the vmx86 service. Rerun the batch previously posted like this, with the extreme detail;

    Tracking Add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc." /v loglevel /f /t REG_DWORD /d 0 x 36

    "%programfiles%\vmware\vmware workstation\vnetlib.exe" - stop vmx86

    "%programfiles%\vmware\vmware workstation\vnetlib.exe" - install vmx86

    "%programfiles%\vmware\vmware workstation\vnetlib.exe" - beginning vmx86

    Tracking Add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc." /v loglevel /f /t REG_DWORD /d 0 x 3

    and repeat once more for authd thereafter;

    Tracking Add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc." /v loglevel /f /t REG_DWORD /d 0 x 36

    "%programfiles%\vmware\vmware workstation\vnetlib.exe" - stop authd

    "%programfiles%\vmware\vmware workstation\vnetlib.exe" - uninstall authd

    Tracking Add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc." /v loglevel /f /t REG_DWORD /d 0 x 3

  • Error 1079: Windows cannot start the Diagnostic Policy on Local Computer Service

Windows cannot start the Diagnostic Policy on Local Computer Service?

    Original title: error 1079

    Hi Craig,.

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

From your post, it seems you are getting and error 1079.

The problem may occur if the service is started by the Local System account instead of the Local Service account (NT AUTHORITY\LocalService). The Local System account may have sufficient permissions to start the service.

What service are you trying to start?

We will follow the steps in this link and check if this solves the problem.

Services do not start, and you receive an error 1079 on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7

Thanks for posting the result and let us know if you need help on Windows.

"Deleting" a file does not actually delete it marks just the space
also available to be used. There are third-party programs that can
sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by
the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and it makes
    the unrecoverable file.

So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent if you
Try it again immediately after the deletion of it and go quickly
downhill from there. If you have used the computer since then (for
example to write this question and read this answer), your chances may
    be very poor now.

But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop
using the computer in question immediately, if you have not done
already. Download an undelete program (and here's one:)
    http://www3.TELUS.NET/mikebike/restoration.html but there are several
others to choose from; Do a search) on a friend's computer (do not
it on yours because that would overwrite the files you want
Undelete) and bring it to you on a CD or thumb drive to try.

If that fails, your only recourse is to bring or send the disc
a company of professional file recovery. This kind of service is very
expensive and may or may not work in your case.
