First elements hangs when burning a DVD

I'm trying to burn a slideshow I created.  It's a mix of photoshop elements slideshow and video editing, long about 30 minutes.

But every time I try and burn it to DVD, first accidents of elements.  It usually happens about 30% through the scene media encoding.

Has anyone encountered this problem?  I thought it might be related to virtual memory, but I increased this, and it had no effect.  I run it on a laptop with 4 GB of RAM, so RAM shouldn't be if all goes well a problem.

When you try to burn, I also tried to reduce the quality, so instead of using "Adapt the content to the space available", I reduced the speed of transmission up to 5Mbps, so the required space is slightly more than 1.2 GB (it was originally about 2 GB).

Someone at - it suggestions on how to troubleshoot / diagnose this problem.

I have burned several DVDs before with no problems, even if they were mostly pictures

Thanks in advance

J

The best way to do it is with Photoshop (PS). I am sure that PSElements can do well also, but do not know what could be different. This is for Photoshop.

Place copies of your files in a folder. I use copies because I don't want anything to get to my originals and play it extra safe. Add a subfolder. I name mine something like "(Final_PSD's,) etc." PS, I have a series of Actions, to re - size to my common video formats. They carry things like, NTSC_Wide, NTSC_4-3, etc. The Action is set to open files, then change the size to the size appropriate to assign correct for this project IRON, such as my NTSC_4-3 gets equal to 0.9. The Action then makes a Save_As. I keep. PSD as. PSD from Photoshop, but JPEG well would work too.

In PS, I go to file > Automate > batch process. This brings up a dialog screen, where I chose the Action I want to run, NTSC-4-3 in this case. I run the program in the Source file and the appropriate Destination folder, my "Final_PSD" in this case. If I have the target folder to the Destination folder, I leave the same file naming conventions. I check order Bypass opened, because I did not need to see the work done. Check on everything. Press OK and in a few minutes, I can re-size of hundreds of files. Time will depend on its system and also on the size of the files target.

I think that there will be differences in the PSE, but someone else has to fill in this info. It was also stressed that the freeware image processor and cataloguing program Irfanview cand do batch resizing well enough. This could be an option. I do not use it for others, so I can't comment.

Good luck

    Hello

I suggest that you try reducing the burn speed in the creation of DVD and check if it works.
Choose a speed slower burn to your DVD recorder as follows:

    1. return to the page Add images and videos on the DVD and then click onOptions.
    2. in the DVD burning speed box, selectmedium orslow.

Also, make sure that you save the movie on the computer and try to burn it.
If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you uninstall any third-party DVD burning software from the computer and check if it works.

  • Grainy photos in slideshow PrE 11 when burning on DVD. I have read many topics, but still persists. Help, please.

Well, the title says pretty much all this. I have a question about the grainy images.

First of all, let me give a brief introduction on what kind of project we are dealing with here. As I read these forums for hours for the last few days I already have a good understanding of what is important, so more details below.

    Introduction:

Video editing has started to become a real hobby. I learned to change using Pinnacle studio, but many bugs and flow forced me to try something else. Adobe for me is "the real deal" and only learn to use a program as before by right! So for this project I thought I could give it a go:

I am changing a video of my uncle's funeral. The funeral was recorded for the grandchildren-yet-to-come. All (except a clip) was filmed using the same device. However, I don't have access to the camera, and I'm not the camera man. When the music was played at the funeral, the camera was rolling, so I added this music me and put a slide show (which aired the same day) in music.

During the project, I made several quick quality, medium makes it to show my cousin (who dad is deceased) the progress I was making. During these renders, I couldn't note picture quality problems. Also due to the poor quality of course rendering parameters.

Anyway. When I've finished editing, I was pretty happy with the end result. My cousin agreed so I decided to burn it to a DVD so it could be distributed more to the rest of the family. Engraving impossible at first, but later, after a reboot, everything worked fine. Then, I played a DVD on my TV and discovered that the quality of the images used in slide shows was horrible. I could recognize faces not even, it was that grainy!

    First of all. The "plug":

    Camera: Sony DCR55

Project settings: PAL > hard drive, memory flash camcorders > Widescreen 48 kHz (I live in a PAL region: Netherlands)

Disabled: Force project settings selected on this project

    Then the party pictures:

    All JPG pictures

Yes, on the part of "what I already tried" (and does not, otherwise I would not have been typing this)

What I tried so far after reading dozens of debates:

    (1) check if the DVD burner was not to blame. So I burned in a folder on my HARD drive. Similar result as what I see on my TV when I burn it to a DVD and read it.

    (2) double-check the project settings. Everything seems OK. Also when I use right click on the clips added to check if the settings are still OK. They are. As for the photos, which surprised me because video clips big screen use non square pixels and pictures of course not. (Thumbs Up for Adobe)

    (3) resize the pictures to the resolution used (720 x 576) before adding them. No improvement, exactly the same thing.

    (4) turn off ' greatness 'framesize. No difference.

Finally, I want to address the term 'quality '. Below you will find a scale to the bottom of the image at the same resolution as mentioned earlier, compared to a still from the DVD:

    Stills.jpg

Top photo is resized with MS paint. Still seems strong enough.

The background is a still of the DVD file. Note the 'graining' and the horizontal lines.

That leaves me with 2 questions:

    (1) what can I do to get rid of bad quality photos

    (2) why did I lose horizontal pixels (as can be seen in the background image)

If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!

  • Not re - encode mpeg-2 files when burning to DVD?

    Hi all

I'm a new convert to Ulead to PE7. So far, I'm making progress.

I have created/exported some compatible MPEG2 DVD from AVI files, I got my cam using PE7.  I have this I think that the mpeg to be the best format to keep my images in capcaity problems and long-term portability.

However, when I import these files mpeg/mpg to PE7 to export to a folder of DVD/DVD BURN (i.e VOB format) I feel that it is re-encoding again.

Is there a way to avoid this in PE7.

In Ulead Moview factory there is a configuration called option " not re -Encoder MPEG2 compatible". " Is there something similar to that?

    Thanks in advance

Premiere Elements uses a DV - AVI workflow. This means that, when working with the standard video, what you put in is converted to a DV - AVI, until it became something else. Even if you put a MPEG and you get a MPEG out, it becomes a DV - AVI, while the program works with it. In other words, MPEG smart rendering is impossible, due to the design of the program.

Therefore, if you want to save video for use in Premiere Elements, we recommend you store as a DV - AVI or return it until the tape miniDV, rather than storing in DVD format.

  • A30 hangs when burning CD

While burning a CD, my laptop rebooted. When I pointed out the error by using the windows error reporting system, he says that the CPU has reported a hardware error.

Later, after having burned a few CD, he took over while burning.

It did not since, but then again I have not tried burning a CD more. I'm currently playing a CD and he seems happy.

The error message is a string of 0, s, xs and numbers, "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION" at the end.

Is my burner CD dies or is it something worse?

    HI Vicki,

Do you use the OS Toshiba (recovery CD) or your own installation of the OS?

What burning program are you using?

If you have XP Prof, you can look in settings - event - administration tools Viewer control - panel.

It takes the error reported in detail!

It may be that very little material is damaged!
Then, you will need to contact Toshiba Service partner
