First Pro CC (2014) crashing during a sequence

I just did a clean install of OS X Yosemite and installed Creative cloud on my MacPro 2008. Whenever I make a new sequence or open a saved draft of Premiere Pro CS6, first Pro CC 2014 still crashes. I don't know what is happening because before I upgraded to OS X from Mavricks, I used Premiere Pro CS6 without any problem at all. Help, please! Thank you!

Here are my MacPro settings:

Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 2.01.32 PM.png

Here are the errors I get:

Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 2.03.04 PM.png

That empty space is usually said this:

Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 2.03.43 PM.png

OK I seemed to "solve" the problem. I have two video cards on my MacPro:

I have a monitor Setup three with two monitors on the 2600 XT and a single on the 6870. I disconnected the two monitors on the 2600 XT and created a new sequence and it does not crash. Not quite sure what's happening with this because this has never been a problem while I was running Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. I still don't want to run an installation monitor three but the 6870 does not support three monitors. If all goes well, there is an Adobe update that will correct this problem.

Is it possible that first will not try to use the other video card?

I received the advice of others and uninstalled agency CC 2014, rebooted, update my records from Nvidia, rebooted, reinstalled agency CC 2014, rebooted, tried to run the application, but same accident persists.  Others also said something about changing permissions for 'something';  I tried to change the permissions for the cache folder that I use but not sure how effective it is, or what to change EXACTLY for permissions, IF this is the problem.

Any advice, experience with this problem, or discussion would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Suggestions of preferences is, indeed, where was the problem. In my case, there was a Premiere Pro Preferences file which was in conflict with a folder of pref anterior body under Windows 7 Sync Center. I guess that's the equivalent of Windows preferences Mac questions, so be sure to check if you have synchronization conflicts, I guess, lol. Hope this helps anyone with similar problems out there!

  • First Pro CC (2014) crashes if I try to find some images/scrub/create an empty sequence, please help

Hello, this is my first time asking for help here, I have been going around forums and web in general for hours, and can't find a solution to this. I really hope someone can help me with this.

Whenever I have try and open a project Pr CC 2014 on my Mac Pro I get the "sorry, a serious error has occurred which requires Adobe Premiere Pro to stop. We will try and save your current project. »

People usually ask for as many details as possible, so this effect: This is a project that I started on my MacBook Pro retina so when opening on my desk he invites me to locate images. Once I find the first file, as soon as my mouse passes on the clip (to the point that rub should be evoked) I get the warning and it stops. I tried to open a new blank project, which doesn't close, until I go to import images and even once, it crashes only when the mouse is moving the clamp to rub. I tried to find the images in the finder to evade the media browser, and this allowed me to select the clip, but crashes once I tried to import it. I thought that maybe the film has been altered, so I tried other clips with the same result. Also, it crashes if I try just to create a new sequence, with images at all in the project.

All my other Adobe apps (SOUL, Pl, Ae, Br, Ai, Ps, Lr, Id, Mu) are working properly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Pr and SOUL twice now. I followed the advice of others and renamed/reset/deleted preferences, plugins in the library and the adobe folder in users/user_name/Documents. I have ensured that I have read/write access in all folders. I am running Yosemite on my desktop, but is so my laptop and Pr runs perfectly on that. I never had this problem with Pr CC before 2014, so I hope that this is not a hardware issue.

I also tried turning off and on again!

I reached the end of my tether and considers indeed defeated by this problem. I really hope someone out there can understand what is happening on Earth!

  • First Pro CC 2014 crashes on laptop HP EliteBook Folio

I just installed the 2014 at CC Pro first later on a Hewlett Packard EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 laptop. It has processors Core I7, 8 Gig ram and Windows 7 64 - bit OS SP1. Whenever I have start the first and load a project, the program crashes as soon as the project finishes loading. I run a similar setup on a VAIO laptop older (Core I5, 6 Gig ram, Windows 7 64 bit OS with SP 1) and it works fine. The source material is on a portable player with Western Digital Passport 2 terabytes and I can move it from one laptop to another. If anyone else has had a similar experience and if yes, how did you deal with it?

    Hi Mowbray,

Please, try the steps mentioned below and check if it works for you.

    1. launch Premiere Pro and create a new empty project, go to the menu file > project settings > Renderer and change the mode only software rendering engine, remove previews if you receive a prompt and then try to import the clip again.

    2. If step 1 fails or the software rendering engine only mode, go to Menu start, and search for the Device Manager, go to display maps and do a right-click on the graphics card to select the option to update driver software, on the next screen, choose "Browse my computer for driver software", then choose "Let Me pick from a list...". "and in the list, select"Standard VGA graphics cards. You may need to change the resolution of your screen and once done restart the machine again.

Launch of Premiere Pro and import the video to check.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashing

    Hello

I use MBP with OS X 10.9.4, 16 GB of RAM with two hard drives, 480 GB Sandisk SSD and the stock 750 GB of HARD drive.

My MBP is model of early 2011 (8.2) with graphic AMD Radeon HD 6750 with Intel HD 3000 card. I use Thunderbolt 27 "external display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. My project is configured to use OpenCL Mercury acceleration.

Video files, I'm editing are Apple ProRes 444 sitting on the HARD disk drive.

My first Pro CC 2014 crashes all the time. Today it crashed 3 times, telling me there was a serious problem and that first has to close. He managed to save the work. On the fourth crash, the application simply refused to play the clips, I tried to stop, but it wouldn't, forcing me to force them to leave the app.

Another thing I noticed is that as soon as I click on "Open a project" from the home screen, that it takes something like 5 sec before the project is displayed. It's a small project, so it should open immediately, the way that it used to open in the past.

If it is relevant, I installed the only plugin for first and it's pure Video Pro.

I don't know what has past but Premiere Pro (the one before 2014 CC CC) used to be solid on this machine.

I'd appreciate any help with this question since obviously something bad happens.

    All the best,

    Goran

I think I have the solution...

I completely removed the first Pro folder under user > Documents > Adobe and so far it seems to have solved the problem.

I of course supported my projects and that deleted this folder. So far it seems that it worked.

I'll know for sure in a day or two, but after constantly if crush, first has collapsed for the last 4-5 hours of work.

  • First Pro CC 2014.2 - Crash when you drag videofile in timeline

    Hey guys,.

When I try to drag an image or videofile (doesn't really matter what file format, codec or length) in a sequence first Pro CC 2014.2 will crash immediately, without warning. Just the usual "Adobe Premiere has stopped working" in Windows 7.

I use Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB of RAM, Intel Core i3-4130 NECK @ 3.40 GHz and an Intel HD Graphics 4400. Premiere Pro worked no problem a few days before, with no changes to the system. The error occurred in first Pro CC 20141 too. Maybe that's a problem with the preview of the video? Music files are no problem.

Thanks in advance! Need help as soon as possible. Visitors are waiting

    Solution:
My graphics not supported the "Mercury Playback Engine (Open CL) GPU acceleration. You can replace "Mercury Playback Engine software only" in your project settings.
But it's in the wrong place in my opinion. Why not in "Edit/Preferences"? I could have changed by myself, but I have not found the menu.

    Hi Sheila,

    Try this:

Before you import your files, go to file > project settings > General and change the rendering engine video software of Mercury playback engine only. Click OK, and then select Remove previews. Then import your files.

I would like to know if it works.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashing and sinking on the documentary Film project

We worked first on this documentary film for months.

As we reach the end it starts to really get bogged down and crash a lot.

    The equipment is

iMac 27 inch 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 end 2013 model

    Apple Cinema HD Display

    32 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 RAM

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 M 4096 MB

    Internal 1 TB SSD drive

We perform first Pro CC 2014.0.1 and stayed there because we do not want to upgrade the software at the heart of the project.

The media are all on the external hard drive. It is a USB 3.0 connection. There is a lot of images that we are working with.

We have a few After Effects compositions that are related to the project and we have exported those that are made under QuickTimes to try to stop coming bogged down us.

Any advice on how we can manage this problem of crash and freeze would be very much appreciated.

We don't have the money to upgrade the computer, and it works pretty well for us so far.

Here are the things we made:

Make a smaller timeline because we were working on one that was the whole film.

Off the secondary monitor and disconnected.

We are looking to move the cache rendering off the external drive on a thunderbolt drive, but I fear that this may take some time.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Split the elements of reading/writing is rather a key to get a smoother operating out of PrPro. Alternatively, put things on a big RAID-0/5, this kind of thing is covered on the

    Page of Tweaker...

    http://ppbm7.com/index.php/tweakers-page

And I highly recommend that you take a look. Their info is not only "we believe...". «... but many sequences of test results carefully much running on many machines with all kinds of pieces of hardware & pieces.» You can also sign up, download the test PBM and run it on your own machine. It takes only a little while to do so and with the recorder application which included and show results to them, you can get a very good breakdown on where your machine is ok... and where the points of congestion occur.

I think it would be good for you right now... you must have things to do, not guess and try things.

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 crash when I click on and drag

Hi all, I have a problem with the first CC 2014 that drives me crazy!

    The question is this:

If I try to drag a clip, sequence, effect, or anywhere in the first transition, it is crash - with the message "sorry, a serious error has occurred." The program will crash, quit smoking and saved recovery project is generally in good health (thankfully!). BUT as soon as I restarted the program and reloaded the project - or project-the problem persists. As soon as I click and drag, first crashes!

To "reset" it, I have to restart my machine. Once I did, I can continue for some time to editing as usual (not long, perhaps up to one hour, or more), but ultimately it WILL crash again. I was not able to work on what I have to do to trigger this - it seems random. But once it happened, only by restarting my computer will solve - and then only temporarily.

    Here are the facts:

    • The accident only happens when I drag something... This may include moving a clip on the timeline by dragging a clip form the source viewer or project window, by dragging an effect or transition.
    • The accident occurred after that I clicked, as soon as I start to move my mouse.
    • I CAN click and drag to extend on the timeline and exit points, and I can do 'insert' edit using the button on the source monitor Panel. Not down here.
    • The film plays very well.
    • I try this on a CLEAN OS X installation, with only the packages of Adobe installed, to eliminate any risk of interference from other programs. There are no third-party plugins or drivers installed. No user data installed either (preferences, photos, documents, etc.)-fresh as it comes!
    • I'm not under Time Machine in the BG
    • My system is: Macbook Pro 2011, 16 GB of Ram, 1 TB SSD, OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. Intel graphics card, so no option to enable or disable hardware acceleration. It is located to only the software.
    • I tested with projects and images on an external drive, but also an internal matter, even.
    • I noticed that the question had begun on or around November 25-27, 2014.

Interestingly, I noticed that once the accident occurred in the first, a similar problem will take place in after effects as soon as I drag a file or layer... anything of the layer. The accident seems less elegant here, I don't get an error message, it just freezes and I have to "force quit". Still, the problem persists until the computer is restarted.

I have been using my macbook and first pro cc 2014 on Mavericks for a long time and had no problem - so I know it should work fine! The only things that have changed are updated in Yosemite, I started using Time Machine to do regular backups, I installed some new fonts and updates CC happened in the background... I can exclude most of them because of my new installation without user data, from plugins of fonts or machine time of confuse the issues... It must be a bug to Adobe with Yosemite!

    Any ideas?

Thank you very much in advance!

I'm in first Pro CC 2014.0 on Windows 7 Pro

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 GPU @3. 40 GHZ

    RAM: 24 GB

GFX card: Intel HD 4600 graphics card

    Mercury reading - No.

The program worked fine until yesterday when I was trying to make a few simple changes of some sequences of GoPro together and first began to freeze and crash when the rendering and exporting. I thought it was a problem with the images, so I tried to import videos from my Canon XA20, I used earlier in the day, I knew that worked and now the first crashes when I try to import and move it to the timeline. I uninstalled and reinstalled the first and the problem has not been corrected. Here are two sets of error messages I've seen in the case of newspapers.
