Fix BSOD when using chkdsk/start

From these, my computer hangs when it tries to run Chkdsk (since I used windows, it crashed trying to use not start repair) ive tried a number of things, including: using command prompt instead, using an ERD win7, winfixit program and using the command prompt here same thing with the "sfc/scannow" command and it tells me that a repair is underway on reboot (which, once I restart it says the same thing) ive tried chkdsk/r, any combination of chkdsk /f x + / something

When he tries to chkdsk on reboot (you know, one where he gives a countdown until it begins), it stops at Midway and said something in the sense that a recently installed program ive prevents it. including the single "recent programs" ive installed were video games or cpu - z and ive scanned my pc for viruses / malware using Avira and malwarebytes. None found anything. Ive tried a number of other things that I can't think right now, but my pc works yet oddly enough, but its been crashy since and I don't know if or when his will stop working.

I have a 10 improvement available windows but I wanted to wait some patched out questions. so as a last resort I can do, but I'd like to solve this problem, any help would be appreciated

I suspect that your only option is to do this repair win 7 dvd installation.  There are just too many broken things

  • [Need help] New Alienware X 51 BSOD when using the Ports of USB 3.0

    Hello world

Today, I received my Alienware X 51.  After you set up the system, I plugged my external hard drive USB 3.0 one of the 3 USB ports on the back of the unit.  The system immediately blue armored and closed.  I let the system restart normally, only to find he Blue filtered and restarted again.  After the third BSOD, I deleted all devices on the computer and let it restart.  It has not crashed this time.  Always plug the devices back to demonstrated that when 3 USB hard drive was plugged into the system, the PC crashed.  I am able to reproduce this constantly: hard drive goes in, system hangs.

I stayed on the phone with Dell technical support tonight, but all they could tell me to do is find another USB 3 device for test ports with.  Since I have none is available, I'm looking at the community of users for more help.  For the record, I managed to extract the files from BSOD dump.  Here is the latest in graphical format:

Anyone seen this before?  My troubleshooting course consisted by uninstalling the driver for the Renesas Electronics USB 3 hub controller supplied with the system and reinstall the drivers using a package available on the Dell (http://downloads.dell.com/Pages/Drivers/alienware-x51.html) website.  It did not work.  I also tried to format the hard drive, but the BSOD persisted.  Needless to say, I am ideas.

The drive works fine in a USB 2 port.  Of course, I am disappointed that I am not able to use the higher speeds of USB 3 port at this time.

Anyone seen this before?  Any suggestions on next steps?  What information can provide this help?

    Thank you!

I am surprised that this post was did not yet a member of Dell since there is a patch to do this, apparently, I had this problem when I arrived to an external hard drive a few days ago

  • HP ENVY 14-2090oe BSOD when using WLAN

My environment: W7 Home premium x 64, 8 GB, HD 750Go, HP Support Assistant mem all tests have PASSED

LAN works well and surfing the internet too

I restored the system to its original configuration and updated windows (several anfter updates only). Now, the Windows version is 6.1.7601 SP1 Build 7601.

If I activate WIFI and try to navigate on the internet and then after that I'll get BSOD.

I installed the latest version (worm sp52407 15.1.0.18 Date 20.2.2012).  I downloaded from HP support.

    System event log says:

Intel® ProSet/Wireless Registry Service failed to start due to the folloving error:

The system cannot find the specified file

    Event ID 7000

Please help solve this problem of harmful.

Well, I installed the latest driver downloaded and running the sp57090.exe file. I thought that it will install the driver, but no. So the exe file is a new file where it has been for new driver subfolder.  I had to update the driver using the DeviceManger and WLANdevice Properties window. I selected the appropriate folder where the driver was. THA worked.

I gues the problem was that the last pilot has the same version number (15.1.0.18) as the erlier one, but it's not the same. Corsica I have updated also the BIOS F.06 verson to F.0F. BIOS was not the reason, but can be helped resolv the problem.

I also disabled the LAN on board network center and Shairing. So the only one netconnection through WIFI.

Thank you for quick response to yor.

  • I'm the only person who becomes a BSOD when trying to start InDesign after the update 2014.2?

I tried several times to start the application, only to have planting my whole system just until it is fully charged. I almost saw him display the initial screen of "What's New", but that's all. I tried to open it in safe mode, but that did not help. And of course, go to real Adobe technical support is almost impossible.

Any suggestions before I have uninstall ID and/or throw my computer against the wall?

UPDATE: after 45 minutes of listening to some of the worst on the planet hold music, I finally got to the Technical Support. As I mentioned somewhere, this exact error that happened after a previous update in November 2014 > trying to launch the application, the system will BSOD just until it is fully charged. I still had the November issue and could give that to them. Basically, she repeated the previous 'fix', and who took care of the problem. Now I'm up to my elbows in three hours delayed. Yay.

For the record, the fix was browse to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign 2014\Resources CC and completely remove the folder of the CEP. She told me that I was losing only display "What's new", no element of vital program. \

Yes, I realize that there is inevitably a deeper problem in my system, but it only showed up to these two times. My computer and I have conducted in-depth and comprehensive tests and trying to find the underlying problem of the system, but we cannot. Until we do, however, I have to just keep an eye on the future updates of ID, and at least now I know what I can do to relieve headaches.

  • Aspire V3 - 571 G BSOD when using the dedicated graphics card

    Hey,.

I just got my new laptop, but as the title suggests, whenever I try to run a program that uses the graphics card, it stutters a bit, before finally being BSOD'ing or saying "NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver display driver, Version 307.17 not responding and has successfully recovered."

This happens even with own NVIDIA Control Panel program, where it gives you this small window of the NVIDIA logo rotating. I tried with Minecraft, just to make sure it wasn't this one program.

Everyone has experienced this before or have any advice? Thank you very much in advance!

PS: I would have presented a ticket of support on this issue, but it asks me to enter the date of purchase, but it keeps screaming at me that I need to enter "valid a date", even if I use the datePicker bit next to the entry field.

I ended up sending the laptop in for repair, and apparently it was a faulty motherboard, so they changed it. Everything worked smoothly after that.

  • Windows 2008 R2 NIC disconnected when converting from a model and started using workflow start-vm in VCO

    Hello

Have a very strange problem. I wanted to apply patches using a VCO on my model R2 2012 Windows workflow and Windows 2008 R2 models. My model of Windows 2008 R2 when converted and started by the workflow VCO does NOT get an ip address. Yet, when I manually turn on the model of Windows 2008 R2 after be converted manually, it gets an ip address immediately. So weird.  There is no problem with 2012 Windows, it works very well. NOTE: The workflow that starts the virtual machine only turns on (and is built in the workflow built by vmware) Finally, today I built a new model and has the same problem. NIC is VMXNET3 and problem seems of course specific OS, has anyone seen this before?

    Thank you

I found this article and fix it. It resembles a known issue with VSphere 5.1

    -antivirus scans
    -disable the anti-virus
    -from firefox in safe mode.
-clear all the cache and history
    -Disable all add-ons
    -system restore
-past by mistake "untrusted connection" on the help of mozilla (does not solve it. There is no option to allow the certificate)
-search on the net for a similar problem (found nothing)

So far, it has been like this for a week and its starting to piss me off as it happened out of the blue.

Recently, when the computer starts first to the top, a window will appear titled ' run as ' the question "which user account do you want to use to run this program?" with two radio buttons. The default selection is "Current user" and there is a checkbox to "protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity. The other button is for "the next user. You can try to perform a clean boot and check if it helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

  • Vista used to start, tried restore, recovery, startup repair doesn't solve anything

Since about three weeks ago, I got serious starting problems. I restarted my computer and after the first HP screen where it usually starts loading windows, it went to a black screen. I turned my computer restarted offand and he did it again and again until finally he did something different, he went to the Startup Repair which I had never seen before. After doing this it says restart, I clicked on it and went back to the black screen. So finally I just decided to make a full recovery.  After the recovery of the first time, he did the same thing with the black screen. He went to the Startup Repair, but this time has given me the ability to send or not to send so I went to advanced options where I could retrieve, drive recovery, restoration, command prompt, test for diagnosis of memory, etc.. I chose the memory diagnostic test. It restarted after about 45 minutes and it worked. I was restarted for about a week. Then again of course in the beginning. I tried pressing F10 and go to the BIOS where I did a test of memory and a hard drive that has failed. I tried a recovery once again, and it's the same thing. Now, it takes about 10 times to begin to get the Startup Repair go. Pressing F11 to retrieve said Windows loading files as it usually does, but then won't go to the repair screen, it goes to the black screen. One thing that seemed similar in all cases, it is that I installed Service Pack 2. Im not sure if this is the reason. I also did some research and a ton of people have this same problem only about a year and a half after the purchase of their computer. I think it's ridiculous. Many people have had this problem when Windows Update arrives, and the last time this happened when Windows Update has occurred.  Something is not seriously and I have no idea how to solve this problem.  Microsoft should give Windows 7 for free to all buyers of Vista that are very disappointed with it.

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time before the problem started (if you've already tried this, skip this part).  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair (I know you tried, but try again) to boot from the Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc (or one you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking) or use command from the disk.  Then we will check some of your system files:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator (ignore it's using the disc).

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well, it is completed with no corruption that he couldn't fix (if such try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228 or corruption several post here and post the results back here.)

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work.  You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.  Chances are good that you won't be able to do this if you cannot boot normally into the system.

If this does not work, I'm aftraid the only option is a clean install.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD.  This should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.  Once this is done, you can do a clean install or by using the Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc or the recovery disk with the recovery Partition (whatever the process is dictated by your computer manufacturer).  Do a clean install follow these steps: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/winvista_install_03.asp (taking into account the necessary adaptations by the procedures of the manufacturer of your computer).  Then you will need to re - install all your programs, reset all preferences, reconfigure your network settings and e-mail, restore your backup of the data, run Windows Update with possibly close to 100 updates pending...

I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem - if not, then it is probably some sort of hardware problem. Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.

    Good luck!
