  • Re-installed a new Firefox

  None of this has worked.

  Please log out of the App Store and reconnect. Try to update again. If there is no change, you can try to update an application that has been purchased (or free downloaded for free) using an another Apple ID check your purchase history to see if the app is included.   Can you open your Real Player and tell me what version you have? I think that Real Player 15.0.6 is supposed to solve this problem. There was a conflict between Real Player and Flash this all summer that broke Flash videos. Real Player has released an update which may help in your case.

  Well, here's my answer to my own post.

  After reading some posts here about possible solutions, I tried to delete all the cookies for YouTube (Tools > options > privacy > show cookies > youtube.com). Then tested on a site with integrated video would not play before and on YouTube directly - both worked!

  The poster with the suggestion of cookies also proposed changes to the 'exceptions', but it was not necessary at least for me.
