  • I have windows XP, IE7 and Opera installed. How can I do to fix my windows.

I recently had replaced by Dell (XPSM1210) cooling system. The keyboard has been replaced and a bigger HD was installed. Windows XP has been reinstalled and updates have been made except SP3 and I also downloaded IE7 and the latest version of the Opera browser. Everything worked well, but I failed my configuration of Opera and couldn't fix so I uninstalled opera and it's associated files (settings). After that I reinstalled Opera, once again everything worked fine until recently. I'm having a problem with my space bar does not not in a browser. I have to hit the space bar a couple of times to make it work most of the time (press hard). I thought it was a bad keyboard and another is sent to me, but I just noticed that my space bar works fine in Notepad and OE then maybe that's not a bad keyboard.

I have not reinstalled everything I had on my computer because I wanted to be sure that the basics working first.  I have uninstalled anything that I shouldn't when I got Opera, so I think I need to fix my windows but I've never done before (by myself). Should I uninstall IE and Opera first? Should I re-install my drivers? Should what order I reinstall everything? I hate trying to get the settings for my return to the way they were, I used the files and transfer settings Wizard, but I always had to make some changes, is there a better way to recover my settings?

I hope I posted this in the right section. Your help is greatly appreciated.

My windows XP is restarting frequently and not allow me to connect... So I tried to fix my Windows xp using the recovery option... but to use this option, I need Admin password that I forgot. Please help me to overcome this problem...

You could look at this http://www.ubcd4win.com/howto.htm

If you do this, you should be able to do a system restore to a few days ago.

Or even better yet, in the boot for cd menu, go to Offline NT Password & registry Editor, and press ENTER.  Then let it boot and select your windows partition (if one only, there should be one [1] right next to the slider.) Press ENTER.  Unless you have a different path, press ENTER, and then press ENTER.  Press enter once more. Now, select the administrator account and press on enter and clear the password (number 1) to clear the password. Then type in one!, hit enter, type q and press ENTER, type Y and press ENTER. If it says complete edition, press on enter, equip you XP CD and press Ctrl Alt Delete.   Now, restart in your installation cd and enter the password as nothing.

    Hope this helps,

When SFC cannot repair the files, it's time for a repair install from the dvd of the OS.  While you may fix one by one, you never know what else is wrong with the operating system.

    Hi Emmanuel,.

    ·         When you get this error message?

    ·         You did any computer change?

    ·         When was it last works well?

We have no fix to correct the error, because Windows Explorer may stop responding for several reasons such as the file system, third-party software conflicts, corruption etc. So, be aware of what caused Windows Explorer to stop working and based on that the next steps could be useful.

  • Fix for Windows (KB2882822)

IM using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Since I reformatted my laptop. I have to reinstall everything. Now the most important part is that I have to reinstall my Visual Studio community 2015. The whole process is very good but when Hotfix for Windows (KB2882822) applies its takes too long. I leave my laptop 2 days for this process, but nothing happened. I tried to manually install the fix for windows, but it is written "looking for updates on this computer" sound also takes too much time nothing will happen if you wait. I tried several times to install and uninstall Visual Studio, always the same scenario. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you.

How many updates have successfully installed?

  • Is there a common step to fix the Windows Installer Service in Windows?

Are there common measures to fix the Windows Installer Service in Windows XP/Vista/7? Please can you give us a few methods on how to repair Windows Installer step by step? I searched this forum and www.support.microsoft.com, but apparently no method 'good enough '...

Thanks in advance for your help.

These troubleshooting steps should help to resolve the error you mentioned.

Insofar as the changes in the registry, I would create a system restore point before making changes or a backup so you can come back in until the registry has been changed.

Creating a system manually restore point

Right-click on the computer icon in the desktop, then choose Properties
In the left pane, click System Protection
Alternatively, to directly access the System Protection tab, click Start and type SystemPropertiesProtection.exe.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click on create.

Let me know if it helps.

  • PC needs to be fixed: File:\windows\system32\winload.exe error code: Oxc000000I

Upgrading to windows 7 8. PC worked fine for 3 months. The last time I turned on the computer would not start.

That's when the error message appears: pc needs to be fixed: File:\windows\system32\winload.exe error code: Oxc000000I
and you will need to use recovery tools.
Three options are given: 1. Enter to try agai, 2; F8 for boot options, 2: F9 to use different operating system.
Enter in any of the three choices just recycled the screen containing the same information.
{2} - Windows 8 repair disk inserted. This time, I SELECTED Boot from DVD

I'd appreciate any help as to how I can get to the repair, the troubleshhot or advanced options which are supposd to be available.

    Tony Hey,

    Regrettable that the problem exists.

Seems like a problem in the BIOS settings, it would be good to check with the manufacturer of the PC.

They might have more insight on this.

  • Error database that can be updated windows detected 0x8007000D - not been fixed in Windows 8.

Original title: slow startup and commissioning, also blocks windows 8

My computer began to take 10 minutes to start and run. then hangs every now and again when I use it.

I had problems installing an update and I thought that was the problem, so I followed the instructions and installed the update (KB2855336) on a clean restart. When I put the settings back to normal reboot I see the update succeeded, but the computer is still a good 10 minutes to restart.

I tried to do a repair, but this is notauto-start.

I tried to run a sfc/scannow and that froze the verification step 100%, I have waited a long time, checked in the Task Manager and saw that he was inactive and if you click end task.

My Task Manager shows 99% or 100% use of the disk.

I tried to do a system restore to a point in mid-July and which failed, error 0x80071a90 code.

I followed the advice of someone to uninstall the update and restart twice, but the problem persists.

What can I do to fix this? I use my laptop to work and so I need this problem as soon as possible.

I just tried in safe mode and also it took forever to start and run. I tried different jumpers in safemode, maintenance of the system not found no problem, windows update however found two:

    Hello

This problem is usually caused by Windows Update corrupted downloads or installations. However, virus infections are also known to cause this problem. Before scanning for viruses, please try these troubleshooting steps and check whether the problem is resolved:

Method 1: reset the Windows Update components and check if the error persists:

How to reset the Windows Update components?
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Method 2: use Deployment Image Servicing and Management to fix Windows Update errors.

To do this, follow these steps:

    a. press the Windows key + C and type cmd in the Search box.

    b. right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

    c. type these commands and press enter after each:

    DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    d. close the command prompt, and then run Windows Update again.

Please get back to us with the State of the question.
