Fixing corrupt VI

Noob case classic not to register for a small project. I usually work directly from Dropbox, but these last two weeks, I was on a new machine and did not do (now) little effort to implement of course. In any case, I've seen a few posts since last year where a couple of people magically fixed the header/footer of the VI in a hex editor. I tried browsing and doing some stuff at random (by replacing first a few pieces of a new file, etc.). I hope just for a bit of that magic even before starting the reconstruction.

Loading more precisely the VI gives:

«LabVIEW: file is not a resource file.» The file 'ManualControl.vi' could not be loaded. »

Developed in Labview 2011 64-bit. I'm with a University, but I don't think that there is a free support of OR more for us academics. Thanks for your time.

  • How to fix corrupted OS files?

Recently, my Windows 7 OS had a collapse and I decided to see if something was really bad or if it was an anomaly to randomly both chkdsk and sfc/scannow. CHKDSK completed successfully and (allegedly) compressed the flow of safety data and found this option (I think that's what he says?) in free space from my hard drive. Then once I started in Windows 7, I ran sfc/scannow, who told me that there it cannot fix corrupted files.

So my question is, how do I find the files that are corrupted and fix them?

(I post the CBS.log file but sticky allows the browser to go unresponsive.) If there is another way of signaling it (perhaps by download?) then please tell me.)

To resolve this problem, I tried to make (after the solution to a Web site):

    Hello

A single pass is not always enough so it can take up to 3 times, first, run the sfc/scannow command again.

When finished, restart the computer and run the command once more.

If you still get errors reported at the end of the 3rd pass, try the method listed under Option 1 on the LienSuivant.

SFC scan & fix windows OS files/folders to a certain extent... SFC finished, it takes

to allow repairs, to do this, once the Sfc is thru, type: CHKDSK C: /F agree to restart, type: EXIT

Restart the pc. At the start of the pc to the top, the CHKDSK runs automatically, it ends then Sfc repairs... In addition, the cmd is Sfc/scannow

    Hello

It's the usual message that some errors are not really causing all the problems.

Many files that SFC cannot resolve are not important.

Start - type in the search box-> find CMD in top - click right on - RUN AS ADMIN

put the command from below (copy and paste) in this box and her and then press ENTER.

    findstr/c: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > sfcdetails.txt

who creates the sfcdetails.txt file in the folder that you are in when you run it.

So if you're in C:\Windows\System32 > then you will need to look in that folder for the file.

How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program
    in Windows Vista
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928228

This creates sfcdetails.txt in C:\Windows\System32 find and you can post the errors in a message
here. NOTE: there are probably duplicates so please only post once each section error.

You can read the newspaper/txt files easier if you right click on Notepad or Wordpad then RUN AS ADMIN - then
You can navigate to sfcdetails.txt (in C:\Windows\System32) or cbs.log (in C:\Windows\Logs) as needed.
(You may need to search sfcdetails.txt if it is not created in the default folders.)

This is the error that I get Code80072efd

    Hello

I'm afraid that, as most of the troubleshooting steps have been tried before without much success, only two options remaining to recover operating systems are:

    (a) the system restore:

System Restore helps you restore system files from your computer to an earlier point in time. As a general rule, you want to restore your computer to a restore point created before the date and time when you started noticing problems. The descriptions of the restore points are created automatically with the name of an event, such as Windows Update to install an update. System Restore returns your computer to the State it was in before the restore point that you choose.

To learn more about how to run system restore you can follow this link given below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/restore-system-files-and-settings

NOTE: However, it is said that the system restore does not affect your personal information such as e-mail, documents, photos, videos, etc., but it is quite possible that some of your personal files are removed during the restoration of the system.

During the restoration of the system, there may be errors and those errors can damage the files that are present in the system. And turn off your computer during the restore process may also lead to the loss of files. Sometimes, when the restoration of the system is down, it can lead to the loss of important files as well.

    (b) in the upgrade of the Place:

An upgrade on the spot is the final solution before you have to reinstall the operating system.
Note that it takes as much time to do the upgrade as to reinstall the operating system. In addition, some of your custom Windows settings may be lost through this process.

Note: Applications that you have installed Web sites and DVD is deleted. The applications provided with your PC and applications that you have installed in the Windows store will be resettled. Windows puts a list of apps removed on your desktop after you refresh your PC.

Hope this helps, if you need help with windows, please let us know we will be happy to help you.

  • Start icon disappears from the taskbar. Command prompt concludes that he cannot fix corrupted files.

My power icon disappeared from my taskbar after a reboot. Following the advice of the Forum I turned on command prompt and asked the sfc/scannow.

After a long search, I received notification that there were a few corrupted files and not all could be fixed. This had occurred previously in 2012.

After a security alert, security, I downloaded the program named Emet. After reading more below in the Microsoft forum, I found the comments which Emet

may damage files. I decided to uninstall Emet. When I finished that I discovered that the Emet icon has disappeared from the taskbar along

with the battery icons and a few other icons. I took my Asus laptop at Best Buy and the tech there called a Microsoft service don't. and

has got instructions to restore the missing icons using the appropriate record. It was in summer 2012. When I stopped my laptop Sunday, December 21, 13

and then reopened Tuesday, December 23, 13 I found that, once more, my power icon had disappeared from the notification area. The correspondent

subprogrammes in the control panel for the management of the icons in the notification area were inoperative for the icon of power and a few others. This

was the exact situation I had in 2012, about 16 months ago.

After failing to solve the problem with the command prompt, I thought I would ask for help. For the moment, I managed without going through the power icon

presented at the center of mobility in the office and after having pinned the control panel to the taskbar on the right.

    Hi Ronald,.

When you first start a new computer, the operating system typically runs Startup service initializations that can take anywhere from one to six hours to finish, depending on which applications are preloaded on the computer. Make sure that you give the operating system sufficient time to finish these Startup service initializations until you stop or restart the computer. This problem generally not happen once the operating system has completed initialization of all before background services is restarted.

I suggest you refer to the following article which has a few registry tweaks to solve the problem. Please follow the steps and check out them.

System icons do not appear in the notification area in Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must restart the computer

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945011/en-us

Note: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • sfc/scannow cannot fix corrupted files windows 8. DISM / /restorehealth//cleanup-online image does not work! Any help appreciated.

    Hello

I can't try to repair the corrupted files on my Sony VAIO laptop to Windows 8. I hope someone can help me solve my problems. I would really like to know how to fix these problems I'm having. It really gets me.  If ever I have similar problems in the future.
All my drivers are up to date. I'm pretty confident that's not a malware issue. I take care of my line on activities that could infect my computer. Although I'm not 100% that excludes. I use Mcafee security Suite (fully updated and free with my broadband package). No other scanners time real AV are running. I However sometimes use a registry cleaner, after installation and installation of various programs. but I only use the default methods, never the registry COMPLETE cleaning cleaning method. In my view, these could create problems if used files. I also defragment my HARD drive of 1 TB at least once a week.
DISM / / cleanup-image online /restorehealth/ also is not working error message and log files can be found below!
I ran sfc/scannow and several times,
whenever I get the error message stating:
Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unsable to correct some
of them. Details are provided in the cbs.log windir\logs\cbs\cbs.log newspaper.
For example C:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log. Note that iis logging currently not
    supported in offline maintenance scenarios.
When I reboot win 8 after running sfc/scannow. Windows 8 shows that it is far from my system of up to 100%
It charges fine. I have run the sfc/scannow, and then he did exactly the same thing. I reboot and it updates my system. but does not not my files corrupted!
CHKDSK /F also freezes 27%. But when I starts in the my Sony VAIO #1 recovery disk and run diagnostics hardware HARD drive repair tool to try to fix the sectors defective etc on my HARD drive
which works 100% and says there is NO problem!
Here are the files of newspapers that I can access. I have to admit, now, that I do not understand them.
    even after much reading online:

How to run the command "SFC/scannow" at startup or in Windows 8
    Information
This will show you how the sfc/scannow command to start or in Windows 8 in an attempt to trouble altered or modified system files.

    Tip
If you get the error that Windows resource protection could not start the Repair Service when you try to run the SFC, then make sure that the Windows Modules Installer service is active and set to Manual.

Services - Start, Stop and disable in Windows 8

If SFC is unable to repair the system files corrupted because the Bank (source) is damaged, then you could run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to set the Windows component store corruption and then then try to re-run the SFC scan.

    OPTION ONE

To run the SFC/SCANNOW command. at startup

    1. open a prompt at startup.

2 in the command prompt, type diskpart and press ENTER, and then type the size of the list and press ENTER. (see screenshot below)

3 make Act your boot drive drive letters (ex: 350 MB "System Reserved" partition) and the drive of Windows 8, type Exit , and then press ENTER. (see screenshot above)
NOTE: If you do not a "system Reserved" partition and are not multi-boot with other operating system, then the boot drive and the drive of Windows 8 may be the same drive letter.

4 in the command prompt, type the following command and press enter. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: , You will see a blinking cursor at the prompt to the end. It will take a while to finish running though.

    sfc/scannow damaged = C: \ /offwindir = D:\windows

    Note
You need to replace the the drive letter of the partition or volume where your Startup system files are stored in the offbootdir = C: part of the order above instead.

You need to replace the letter of your partition or volume Windows 8 in the offwindir = D: is part of the above command instead.

5 when the analysis is finished, I hope you will see an everything is ok message as below.

6 close the command prompt and restart the computer to start Windows 8.

    Note
If SFC could not fix something, then run the new command to see if it can be able to next time. Sometimes, it can take by running the sfc/scannow command 3 times restart the PC after each time completely fix everything what he is capable of.

If this isn't the case, then run Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair any corruption component store, restart the PC later and try the sfc/scannow command.

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file system occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the THREE OPTION section below to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

    SECOND OPTION

To run the SFC/scannow command in Windows 8

    1. open an elevated command prompt in Windows 8.

2 in the elevated command prompt, type sfc/scannow , and then press enter. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: It may take some time to complete the race.

3 when the analysis is finished, I hope you will see that all is ok message as the screenshot below.
NOTE: Fortunately CFS was able to repair my files automatically damaged system.

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the THREE OPTION section below to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

    OPTION THREE

How to see and read that only "CFS" Scan results from CBS. JOURNAL

NOTE: SFC when is running, it records its actions in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. The steps of this option will show you how to view only specific SFC entries with the [SR] tags in the CBS.log newspaper. This can be useful to show you what files SFC couldn't fix automatically if you want to try and manually change them.

    1. open an elevated command prompt in Windows 8.

2 in the elevated command prompt, copy and paste the following command and press enter.
NOTE: This will place a file sfcdetails.txt on your desktop with only the SFC scan details of the results of the CBS. Log in this.

    Code:
    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

3 close the elevated command prompt.

    4. open the file on your desktop to see the SFC sfcdetails.txt analysis details in convertible bonds. NEWSPAPER.

5 when you are finished, you can safely remove the sfcdetails.txt file later if you wish.

    Tip
If you need to replace a corrupted system file that SFC cannot fix, this will show you how to:

If you have many files are corrupted, then run Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair any component store corruption, restart the PC after and try the sfc/scannow command.

If you have only a little, then you could manually extract a new copy directly from your installation of Windows 8 DVD or USB thumb drive, or ISO if file in a virtual machine.

  • SQL query to fix corrupted data

    Hi all

I rose struck with a request correcting corrupt files.

    CREATE TABLE EX1
    (
    EMPID INTEGER,
    DATE OF DW_EFF_DT,
    DATE OF DW_EXPR_DT
    );

    INSERT INTO EX1 VALUES(1,'04-MAR-1998','13-MAR-1999');
    INSERT INTO EX1 VALUES(1,'14-MAR-1999','02-MAY-2000');
    INSERT INTO EX1 VALUES(1,'03-MAY-2000','01-MAY-2013');
    INSERT INTO EX1 VALUES(1,'02-MAY-2013','31-DEC-9999');

I have empid with other attributes, we are remaining with the story. There is some data that is corrupted and we need to fix it.
DW_EFF_DT that's less than 1 February 2005 "should be taken by default January 31, 2005"

Once again the data must be corrected and my output should be like below

    EMPNO DW_EFF_DT DW_EXPR_DT
    1 2005 - 01 - 27 2005-01-28
    1 2005 - 01 - 29 2005-01-30
    2005-01-1 31 2013-05-01
    1 02-05-2013 9999-12-31

I used the function of lead and lag, but it is applied sequentially.
How can I get the subtratcing dates with 1 for each spare line.

I tried the below query and half able to reach.

    SELECT A.*, COALESCE (LEAD(NEW_DW_EFF,1) SUR-1,TO_DATE('31-DEC-9999','DD-MON-YYYY')) (ORDER BY NEW_DW_EFF) AS NEW_DW_EXPR_DT
    Of
    (
    SELECT ID,
    DW_EFF_DT,
    DW_EXPR_DT,
    CASE WHEN DW_EFF_DT < NEW_DW_EFF TO_DATE('01-FEB-2005','DD-MON-YYYY') CAN TO_DATE('31-JAN-2005','DD-MON-YYYY') DW_EFF_DT OTHER END as
    OF EX1
    ) AT

    ID DW_EFF_DT DW_EXPR_DT NEW_DW_EFF NEW_DW_EXPR_DT
    1 4 MARCH 98 13 MARCH 99 31 JANUARY 05 30 JANUARY 05
    1 14 MARCH 99 2 MAY 00 31 JANUARY 05 30 JANUARY 05
    1-3 MAY 00 1 MAY 13-31 JANUARY 05 1 MAY 13
    1 MAY 2, 13 DECEMBER 31, 99 2 MAY 13 31 DECEMBER 99

Please help me in this regard.i he tries again.

    Thanks in advance,
    KVB

    KVB says:
    EMPNO DW_EFF_DT DW_EXPR_DT
    1 2005 - 01 - 27 2005-01-28
    1 2005 - 01 - 29 2005-01-30
    2005-01-1 31 2013-05-01
    1 02-05-2013 9999-12-31

In fact the last record is the current record.

TH 3rd effectiuve record date is set lower than 2005-02-01 dateis because. While we have adjusted to 2005-01-31,
The 2nd record expiration date will be adjusted to the 3rd date effective-1 card,
Now the 2nd effective record will be reduced to the 2nd record due date-1 and so on... until the first record.

In fact I could not explain much better economically as why they do. Technically we must achieve this through SQL.

    See you soon

Well, that makes more sense, thanks :)

Probably not the prettiest... but should work (you may need to tweak it a bit)

    Hello

Follow these steps and check if that helps:

    (a) open Device Manager. Go to 'Start' > 'Control Panel' > 'Performance and Maintenance' > 'System', then open the "hardware" tab and click on "Device Manager." Expand the list of devices under "Mice and other pointing devices", and then double-click your mouse.

    (b) click to open the "Driver" tab, then click the "Uninstall" at the bottom of the dialog box. You will now need to confirm the operation. Click 'OK' to continue. The uninstall process will now begin.

    (c) reinstall your drivers (via CD-ROM, file installation or download of the manufacturing site). Ensure that you follow the instructions included with your mouse and close all programs before starting the process of resettlement.

I suggest you to follow the steps in this Microsoft KB article troubleshooting and check if it helps.
