He has explained that this something on the screen design was aligned by the body and could not be removed easily?  It was a quick and vague explanationa and my memory is blurred on exactly what he says. I have a friend who has the m4 Envy model that would replace its screen and it's a simple enough question and relatively inexpensive. Is it true that to get the screen replaced on the model I have is a difficult and costly process? Can someone better explain why the screen can be fixed quite easily as most laptops if I'm SOL on mine?

  I have a HP Compaq dc5750 I just got an EVGA Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS, and I'm having a problem with it. I disassembled the computer cover and installed, replace the cover, turned on the computer and the monitor not power not on. So I decided that I had to disable the integrated graphics card (ATI Radeon Xpress 1150), then I added the card even once. Still happens... Monitor powers on without the new graphics card. My monitor is 8 years old and lacks a DVI port. I have to connect the monitor to the graphics card to make it work? I want just this card to work.

  This kind of question is mainly caused by the sound card driver is not not compatible.  Contact the hardware manufacturer directly to confirm the driver is compatible or not.

  Test the issue with another pair of speakers or headphones, or you can plug the device of reading to another port to see the result.

  In the meantime, you can also see if the playback device is disabled. To do this, please check the following steps:

  1 Please, click Start-> Control Panel-> Sound.

  2. on the playback tab, right-click on the empty square and then click on "show disabled devices".

  3. check if your playback device is disabled. If so, right-click on it and click Activate.

  1. Please click Start, type services.msc and press ENTER.

  2. double-click on Windows Audio.

  3. click on the 'general' tab. Make sure the "Startup Type" is "automatic". Then please click on "Stop" under "Status of Service" to stop the service.

  I found the problem... once again: I had to go to the BIOS and enable Audio integrated. My audio integrated uses Realtek High Definition Audio instead of Nvidia High Definition Audio.

• When you open Photoshop CS6 I used to get what I called a 'quick fix' screen - how do I get it back?

  It was a predominantly white background with sliders for exposure, highlights, shadows, midtones and so on which makes it very easy to quickly bring a raw photo to the height to determine if it is usable or not.
  For some reason, that the program has now started opening in what I think is the standard appearance with a mostly black background and the menu in the upper part, which was what I got when closing down the screen of "quick fix", and I've used for more complex things like pixellating and so on.

  NEF or Nikon files Camera Raw once converted to png, does not open in Adobe Camera Raw. Only ships, jpegs, and tifffs can be opened in ACR,

  If you convert a nave in png, you can not convert in nave, so it's out of the question.

  If you open Bridge and see a tiff or jpeg, Cmd or Ctrl r it will open in Camera Raw.

  Then maybe bulk convert these png jpeg or tiff, then open them in ACR.

• 6 iPhone does not load and the screen broke

  Last week I went to the apple store because my iphone 6 are more charged correctly. This has happened for a while now and it has just stopped working. So I told them that and how I broke the screen during the time it did not work and they tried to do a diagnostic on it that wouldn't work if they sent away for repair. However, Im now be told that I have to pay to get my fixed screen to look inside my phone which makes no sense because you would need to open it anyway. Im still under 1 year warranty and it wouldn't make sense for me to pay to get my fixed screen probably for them to discover the non repairable phones and give me a new phone in any case. What should I do?

  Accidental damage not covered by the warranty, so you must either pay for the replacement of the screen (if that's all that is needed) or pay for an out of warranty replacement.  Whatever it is, if you have an iPhone running once again, you have to pay for repairs or replacement.  Your warranty is voided when you broke the screen.

  Paying Apple for the repair or replacement will be recovering the remainder of your original warranty or provide 90 days of warranty on the repair or replacement, according to the longest period of time.

• Replace a Macbook with a notice of need broken screen

  My hard drive went out on my early 2011 Macbook Pro with a broken screen. The broken screen this weekend, I've not had the chance to put in place for repair. Before the hard drive went out I used it Clamshack mode I know that it does not in recovery mode, but how bad of an idea do you think it would be to replace the hard drive and install Mac OS X blindly? Or do you think I should buy a tablet in Windows of 100 dollar budget to use temporary while that I set up for the fixed screen?

  I can't speak for your calendar or your budget, but... I asked when my MBP 2011 will no longer support the Genius Bar (products Apple will "legacy / obsolete ' possibly) the deadline is the end of this year early next year.   Don't wait too long to save for repair in my opinion.

  I understand that when you tried your YouCam 5 record playback, you can hear the sound, but the screen stays green.

  You did all your Windows updates?

  You either Direct X, Adobe flash player and direct X to date?

• The screen cracked on tx 1000. Replacement options?

  I bought my tx 1000 something like 2 years ago now. He is totally out of any warranty period, but no did me not no problem (although I will be swapping hard drives soon because I have a sixth sense sense that it is about to die). At a party in the new year, I've walked awkwardly on my computer, which was in a neoprene sleeve. The next morning I woke up and found the screen was cracked (see photos). This does not affect the quality of image or real output on the screen itself; the only thing that is broken is the piece of plastic/glass in front of the screen.

  I was wondering if anyone knows what are my options for repair or replacement. I am very very well on the technical plan and am confident I can do the repair myself if spare parts are available. Otherwise I would like to know how much it would cost me to send it to fix. I can just try to turn it off as cheaply, I can and get a new tx2 or even dv3 pledge.

  I think your best bet is to call support, they will give you an estimate on your fixed screen getting, but you will not really receive the exact amount, until you send it and they look, then they will call you and tell you how much.
  You can then decide if it's worth the repair or if the money is better spent on a new laptop

  Of course you say that you can still use it anyway, and even without the internal screen you could hook it up to an external monitor, so it has some value.

  You can also just look at how new are now anyway, I think the new TX series is probably cheaper than when you bought your model again.

  There are also those new Netbooks good market as well.

  "You pays your money, takes you your choice."

  Once that I could build computers cheaper than to buy new ones, but not more these days.

  Hi, my (soon to be homeless) daughter dropped her Bold 9900 aged 5 weeks and cracked the screen. I realize I have to pay for the repair, but that is difficult because no legitimate companies say that they can not work on BlackBerry, they will only repair if obtained from them, which includes CPW etc. The place I got it since are not interested because it is not covered by the warranty - voiding the warranty is why I'm not going to take it to a local repair shop/market and contact RIM is impossible.

  How the hell can I get this fixed screen and maintain the warranty?

  The guarantee went with material damage. You just need to find a repairman.

  You can always call O2 and ask them for the repair costs.

• HP 15-ab029tx: UPDATE: HP Support fixed keyboard problem giving Me a new

  Original problem:

  Playing some games like need for speed or any game, Assassins Creed, counter-strike, Spiderman with WASD controls. After 35-45 minutes the keyboard starts to malfunction. The character starts to move randomly left direction without pressing me a key and to stop it I push on it was ' hard button.

  No problem in games, not because of synaptics Smart Sense. I've owned a lot of portable (3) to be exact, and it wasn't the problem in three others.

  Waste of time with the HP Chat Support:

  Contacted the HP Support, not one but twice. First time the Executive support uninstalled the keyboard driver and takes about half an hour to understand why the keyboard driver is not be shown in the Device Manager. After that I told him that in order for the material to be detected again, you must restart the system and then he has restarted and told me the problem is fixed and class case.

  Second time, Executive support even after say everything that I lived in the previous session started the remote session and continued and tried to update my graphics driver (I don't know why) from Device Manager. I don't know who did his Executive support because my PC has switchable graphics and HP says strictly do not update the system with switchable graphics cards manually from any where but support center HP or HP Web site.

  Finally I convinced to send someone.

  HP technician visit:

  Front panel of the laptop (keyboard + touchpad) replaced. The engineer had to remove each component of the system to reach the keyboard and replaced it finally. But then after a while when I tried to connect to my wireless router, it wouldn't even detect the connection (Yes, he was working just before the part was replaced, but not now). Not yet detected the router in the adjacent room, while all others of my device (cell phones, HP G4, tablets) can detect and connect to it.

  Which is exactly the problem:

  --> Internal Wifi Module Signal fell and it must only be connected to networks when the router or Wifi access point is close to the laptop.

  --> Hardware Wifi is fine, but the signal is removed. Before the replacement of the façade, off my all other 3 laptops and mobile phones, this system had the stronger WiFi signal.

  -->, I am aware of this problem and is not new, same problem happened to my old HP Envy 6 1002TX after that I got is fixed screen. But, as it was out of warranty, I couldn't get it repaired.

  I tried the things:
  1 reinstall the Hardwares.
  2 computer Reset.

  3 HP Support.

  I am currently connected to the internet by using the external USB WiFi card of Tenda. Here is the screenshot:

  Contact HP support, it took a lot of time to convince them that the problem is not with the software, otherwise they would have lost my time to reset the computer again. I arranged another visit of technician. We'll see if the problem is resolved.

  I searched online if anyone else had anything like this, I came across a comment:

  "Tighten the two fixing screws of a quarter turn each Wifi card in place. Guess he did not rest properly.

  How you can recruit these people in the technical team that may not know yet what the problem is.   No doubt HP service is great, but you lose a lot of time to prove that you are right. The last time with my laptop 1303AU G4, there was a problem, but the local service station couldn't even find where the problem was. Then I had to search on the internet about this problem and found that it was because of the faulty motherboard and he said to the HP support and finally when only 10 days of warranty was left they took the laptop and fixed.

  PS - I'm no * beep * this time. I want the laptop fixed like new. I regret already buy one of your fancy 6 1002TX model until today and I'm not going to see the same thing happen to it. repair or give my money!

  The problem is now resolved. Finally, HP sent a good technician who changed the WiFi module and the problem was solved. If HP have sent the same engineer before I would ever encounter this problem. Nevertheless, thank you very much.

• Recover Photos from a broken iPhone

  I have an iPhone 5s that I dropped and cracked 4 times, about 6 months ago I dropped it and the screen did not crack just went black, with my music continues to play.   The only way you're going to get your photos is if you have the phone repaired. On the Apple Store if more than just the screen is broken, your only option will be to make a replacement off-warranty but your photos will be gone. If you take it to a reputable 3rd party repair company in your area, they may be able to replace the screen and set the power connector for the phone can be charged and you can login with your password and retrieve your photos, but your eligibility for a replacement of off-warranty by Apple will be gone.

  It depends on what is most important to you.
