Flash audio does not work in Firefox 31.0

Audio Flash works in chrome. Have tried without success the following:
-Reset of Firefox
-Reinstall the Flash plugin

Thank you for taking your time to help out me.

EDIT:
I noticed in all: plugins list for 'FutureSplash Player '. Which maybe has something to do with the problem?

On Linux Adobe ceased support Flash for Firefox.
There is only security update of Flash 11.2 available.
If web pages requires a newer version of Flash then they will not work with Firefox and you would have to use Google Chrome.

This happens with all the pages that use the Flash plugin?
Did you check if the player has a volume slider?

You can see the issues with cookies and 'Delete the Cookies' from sites causing problems:

  • Edit > Preferences > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

You can try to erase the Flash local storage and settings.

I'm not familiar with this particular extension. The reviews seem to indicate it does not work for everyone.

Here's how you can enable "click-to-play", a built-in feature of Firefox for Flash. This will delay the Flash start on a page, until you approve.

To set the Flash to "Ask to activate", open the page of modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search 'Shockwave Flash' and always change 'enable' to 'ask to activate '.

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

Once you approve Flash on a site, all the movies on the page will be charge. If you want to control one by one, there is a different extension, designed to work with click-to-play function of Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/click-to-play-per-element/

  • Adobe Flash 11 does not work on Firefox 11

I have always used Firefox 11 without problem thanks to plugins (just my shitty hardware), but when I updated to a newer version of Flash Player, nothing more worked on Firefox, chrome, everything goes perfectly. I also tried to reinstall the plugin, stable, and also the beta version, using Flash-Aid, but nothing has worked. Is there another solution for this problem?

    Thank you for the Italy!

I solved my problem! Without doubt, Adobe has deprecated support for applications that run under Linux that are not Google Chrome (I personally hate it). Solve it, to rename and move the Chrome plugin in Firefox directory, for this you need to:

    (1) open a shell and move to the Chrome directory (obviously, you need to install Chrome first) with the following command:

    CD/opt/google/chrome

It must therefore aim for the "libgcflashplayer.so" file and rename it to 'libflashplayer.so', in order to correctly find the plugin from Firefox. To copy the file (always using the shell), you will need to run:

    of libgcflashplayer.so sudo cp libflashplayer.so

    (2) once you have done a copy with a different name for the same plug-in, you must move it to the appropriate folder in Firefox, everything will result in the following command:

    sudo mv libflashplayer.so/usr/lib/firefox-11.

    (3) then, set your shell to work in this other directory by running:

CD (out of the old path of)
    / usr/lib/firefox-11 CD.

So, copy the file in the 'plugins' folder using:

    sudo cp libflashplayer.so \plugins

    (4) turn Firefox and enjoy your Flash Player at new work!

  • Flash player does not work on firefox

When I went to play Boggle Bash or Mahjong Garden on POGO.com yesterday, 24/02/2015, a pop up came and said that my flash player is outdated. After update 3 times, I still can't play my flash games on POGO using the Firefox browser. The same pop-up window appears indicating that my flash drive needs to be updated. I checked the current version, and it's the last one, 16.0.0.305 for Firefox and Windows 7. Why this update is not recognized? I went through the list of Adobe problems without success. I am able to play using the Chrome browser. The people at Adobe told me to use Chrome to my games. I don't like Chrome and want to use my Firefox for my game.
I read the previous Help topic that was submitted before by taylormade, on 24-11-14 15:55. I used the same link you posted in response to James Top 25 contributor moderator 619 solutions 4632 responses posted on 24-11-14 23:57, and it does not help.
What should I do to get my games work again on Firefox? I think it's a disservice to Firefox which people Adobe is to tell people to use Chrome instead, because there are fewer problems with it that something needs to be fixed using Firefox.

Adobe Flash tends to not update properly all the time or for users, and their uninstall program may be necessary to clean all the Adobe Flash files that are "hanging out."

First of all, take the uninstaller Adobe from here:
    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

Then download the latest version of the Flash Plugin here:
Select Browser Plugin - the EXE version.
    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

Run the Flash uninstall program, and then restart your PC.
Then, install the Flash Plugin. So you have a new installation of Flash for Firefox.

You will also need to reinstall the ActiveX for IE version.

  • Adobe Flash plugin does not work with Firefox 7.0.1.in Windows XP Pro

Using Firefox 7.0.1 plugin Flash 11.0.1.152 installs OK in Windows XP Home Edition, but not Windows XP Professional.

I don't know if this is related, but the page http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer OK appears in Win XP Home but comes in the form of text in Win XP Pro.

By clicking on the download link does nothing, so I need to use Windows IE to download the Flash Installer and start it manually. When I do, Flash installs OK in Internet Explorer, but not in FF.

Windows XP and home are quite similar, the main difference is in the way security and permissions are managed.

You have probably not install or update the Flash Player plugin on the XP Pro computer. Note IE & Firefox use different plugins for FlashPlayer.

See Flash Plugin - maintain and troubleshoot issues that includes information on tests and download of flash Player.

"My printer does not work on Firefox" gives no details on the problem. It is a good starting point:

Not related to your question, but...

    You must update some plug-ins:

  • Adobe Flash Player does not install on Firefox 5 for me.

I tried the two installation via the finder plugin and manually download and install the .exe from the adobe Web site, but the plugin of flash/shockwave never gets listed on the list of plugins for Firefox. I also tried to uninstall, reboot and installation, but the flash still does not work on me for Firefox (although it works fine on IE).

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an ActiveX version for IE only and a plug-in version for most of the other browsers like Firefox. On a Windows system, you must always update both individually.

    1. With Firefox, click the direct download link below and SAVE the download on your desktop, so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
    2. When the download is complete, close Firefox (file > button OR exit Firefox > exit)
    3. Click or double-click the file that you just saved on your desktop
      • In the install window that appears, select the check box to the left of "I read and...» "to place a check mark in the box of
      • The button 'Install' in the lower right corner is now highlighted, click it.
      • Installation is quick.
    4. Launch Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    5. ActiveX version (IE) link: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

I posted this question 25 and have not yet received response. Because of this problem of crash, I can't do anything on my computer apart from solitaire game and hang out Adobe communities looking for an answer. I found several issues like mine (Mac, firefox, flash player constantly crashing) who have no answers either, and I'm getting upset. I've been floating around Mozilla and Apple Help sections, and there is no answer there either. How can I get an answer? Or is there just no fix for this problem and Flash player does not work on mac more? Y at - it another program that I can use instead of Flash player? I like a lot to an answer, the answer, or anything cause I've stuck here until then. Thank you for you time.

Since last week, Adobe Flash Player did not work on my computer at all. I can't watch videos and a webpage using Flash for accidents of ads.  I tried to use Adblock, thinking at first that the ads were the problem because they froze my computer in the past.
