Flash drive is not detected

Original title: Flash drive problem

I got my player wiped clean flash caused by a virus. Now, when I insert the disc nothing happens. I am not very informed when it comes to these things, but I thought that my data would be entered on the drive again, just like the first time around. Made null and void by car when I had the deleted info?

I have a laptop Compaq Presario with Windows Vista Premium. Also, I just had the motherboard replaced, but I don't think it would have something to do with it. I appreciate your help!

The USB is not detected.

1 have you tried in different ports?

2 are you able to use other devices USB?

I suggest you follow the steps:

Method 1: Run the fixit

Method 2:

Then, as all devices have same also have USB device associated drivers. Appropriate sometimes drivers not detected after initial installation so reinstalling the drivers can fix the problems.

You can check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the steps:

 

a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

b. click System and Maintenance, click System and then click on Device Manager.

Note: If Control Panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

(c) in Device Manager, double-click on to expand Bus USB controllers, right click on the controller host, click on uninstall and click OK.

Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.

d. repeat the substep c to uninstall all items under Bus USB controllers.

Now, restart the computer, and all USB controllers will be installed automatically.

    Your new HARD drive is larger than 120 GB? The HARD disk controller supports the 28-bit LBA and large drives as 120 GB will not be recognized by the BIOS.

    It would be interesting if the BIOS can detect the drive. Please check this box.

    In general, when the desktop software uses Flash Player, it's because they're incorporating an Internet Explorer window in the application.  If you do not have Flash Player for Internet Explorer (aka. the ActiveX Flash Player) installed, then the desktop app is not going to work.

    Then, launch Internet Explorer

    Go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    Follow the prompts and then relaunch the application after you have completed the installation in Internet Explorer.  I hope this sorts for you.
