Flash is extremely laggy on Firefox

(I'm not very good in English, if you don't understand something of my description of problem please tell me)
I decided to give another chance to Firefox and switch to Google Chrome, and this time, I found this Nightly (version 18 for the time of this question / out using Firefox, Firefox Beta, and Aurora), worked with a very good performance and support for add-ins and to be really fast on my stuff every day, my only problem is that when I tried to watch videos on YouTube or do any other type of things as you need Adobe Flash Player (version 11.4 at the time of this issue) it just freezes, the browser gets really starts to lag and all night to eat about 70% or more of my CPU, it crashes and it is just very slow until I can close the page with a bit of luck through.
Now, I want to start by specifying that this happens in all iterations of browser like Firefox (15), Firefox Beta (16) and Aurora (17), not only in the evening (18).
On the other side in Chrome (version 22 for the moment of this question) that never happens to me, videos are fast enough and the performance is very good.
This problem appears also to happen when I use it on the page. If I put a video full screen, it will simply smooth (even better), but once I get full screen the lagg starts again.
I recently updated Flash to try to solve this problem and also reinstalled Flash, not it worked and I don't know what else could I do.
I also wanted to add that I use Windows 8 (Preview Release) and my PC runs under x 64, since Firefox works on x 86 that maybe it might have something to do, but I don't know.
Thank you.

Suggestion most apply to 11.3 Flash and later and can therefore be judged with 11.4 Flash

You can check the problems caused by the recent updates of Flash and try these:

  • disable an eventual extension of the browser for Firefox Plugin RealPlayer Record and if installed RealPlayer update
  • disable the safe_mode in Flash 11.3 and later versions
  • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

I downloaded Adobe uninstall (for Mac, OS x 10.4ff) and he ran to get rid of old shards of Adobe Flash, be very careful to follow the Adobe provided through their Web site. The last thing they ask you to do is to "Check that the uninstall is complete", by restarting your computer and then open your browser and check the status of the Flash Player. BUT it seems not to be a way to check the State of Adobe Flash Player on current versions of browsers Mozilla product.
How can I check that the old version of 'Flash Player' is really gone?

Within 20 hours, I ran several hunters malware (malware bytes, security of systems Microsoft, AVG, AVAST, Spybot S & D and others I don't remember now) with several problems found and cured. None, however, corrected it.
My computer is an ACER Aspire 5732Z, running Windows 7, 64-bit. This problem cropped or less about 2 months ago. I wonder if it is related to the latest version of Shockwave and possibly occurred after only an automatic (n) updated.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall? If you have tried, have you tried giving up alttogether flash and HTML5 rather use? It is not supported at all sites, but HTML5 is much better than flash.

Have you tried contacting Adobe? This probably isn't a problem with firefox and unfortunately, even if he * is *,.

  • Adobe Flash will not install in Firefox.

I tried to install Adobe Flash Player repeatedly. I go to their website and download the installer. I can run it as administrator and it said it installed fine. However, when I enter Firefox V30.0 and go to the add-in Manager, it does not appear. I tried uninstall the add-in "Add and remove programs" in Control Panel and install again. I tried to uninstall Firefox and download a new copy and then reinstall Adobe Flash Player. I have restarted my computer several times. Nothing works.

Hello mnrwronl, try updating your graphics drivers later, moreover, turn off hardware accelerationand disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player settings. (See this article for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).

To turn off hardware acceleration in Flash Player:

    1. Go to the Adobe Flash Player help page.
    2. Right-click on the Flash Player logo on this page.
    3. Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
    4. Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.

    5. Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
    6. Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
    7. Restart Firefox.

This Flash Player help - display settings page contains more information about the Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you are interested.

Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

  • When will be able to use Flash 11.8.800.174 Firefox?

Some friends have Windows 7 and upgrade Flash 11.8.800.174. According to the Adobe web site, this version is for Internet Explorer. 11.8.800.168 is for Firefox and other browsers not Windows. The game we play - Gourmet Ranch - does not work with Firefox and the Flash version. Should I recommend that they walk back Flash and use 168 or will be Firefox updated quickly so that we can use 174?

Hello, sorry I think that it is not possible for the firefox support answering this question since we have no influence on the naming system cycle or the release of flash - you would have to put this question using adobe.

  • Flash Player Plugin disappeared from FireFox 11.0 - 4 times per day

    Hello

I must say first that I use w2000 SP5. It is a clean install, with no male ware. I understand that the OS is not supported. But, my other computer has a motherboard defective and unable to replace it now.

I use the latest version of Firefox, which was available for w2000, (ver 11.0)

I modified Firefox plugins UPDATE NO. (Because only; the new plugins work in W2000. Firefox 11.0)

I installed the latest version of Flash which works also in W2000. (fp_10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0_archive)

All works as usual. No crashes. No problems.

Except, the installation disappears as magically as a Firefox plugin.

She disappears in 3 or 4 times a day. Usually after I open Firefox, a few hours later.

But it is still in the list of programs installed on the computer.

I was re - install every time, which is VERY annoying.

I also disabled Flash to automatic updates.

There must be something that is checked to install a new version, and the removal of my current install.

    But I'm not.

I tried several versions of flash, and all do the same thing.

So, I think that the problem is in Firefox.

I post my Adobe problem also.

    Please help me. TIA

Firefox should find the Flash plugin via the registry key.

Try to create a plugins folder in the current Firefox profile folder and copy the NPSWF32. DLL and the file flashplayer.xpt into the plugin folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Flash no longer works with Firefox 13

so I have Firefox 13.0.1 and Flash Player upgrade to 11.3 and flash no longer works. I tried many things, but ultimately downgraded flas player for 11.2. Still no joy. The only way I can get Flash to work is if I start Firefox in safe mode with disabled modules. If I manually disable the modules from inside Firefox is still does not work, so I guess that's not quite the same as disabling safe mode. I have not installed RealPlayer. I tried to create a new profile, but still no joy. Other ideas for me to try please?

  • Flash does not work in Firefox?

I installed the Flash Player update 11.3, and now everything that uses the flash looks like a black screen. It works in chrome and safari. I tried a few article and solutions of the discussion, but none of them worked. & I don't have a realplayer plugin to disable. Could someone help me solve this problem?

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Try to "disable hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.

  • Flash does not work in Firefox 13

Install Firefox 13 yesterday. Now flash does not work. Have done all the patches that are supposed to no avail. Have uninstalled and reinstalled flash. I'm at my wits end with this issue. I'm a web designer who uses flash in a number of my sites. VERY IRRITATING when my sites are not displayed correctly. Someone has one solution other than the pat Mozilla 'fixed '?

I found the solution for shockwave does not.

    1. go in topic: addons

    2. make sure that "Shockwave for Director" is present

    3. look for "Mozilla ActiveX Control and Support of plugins"

    4 disable

    5. refresh the page

It worked for me to get stuff flash shockwave works again.

Edit: shockwave flash worked perfectly for me with my old together until I updated to 13, so it is certainly the issue of Mozilla, and after finding this solution, I'm sure of it.
