Flash Player Mac Mini overheating

Flash player is constantly conflicted now on my Mac Mini and causing overheating.

If you hear your fan spins at high speed to check the CPU usage percentage using the Monitor Utility application.

I see red now quite often in the utility monitor indicating 100% CPU usage and "not responding".

It comes with Safari 9.0.1 and OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite.

It does not help that Flash Player is higher version.

I really don't want to burn my Mac Mini so I advanced and uninstalled flash player.

Google Chrome has flash player as a built-in plugin, so you have to go on: URL plugins and disable the builtin version.

Most of the newer sites using HTML5 now and does not blink so there must be minimal inconvenience.

Depending on what you are using / Flash display peut be very resource hungry. My laptop fan ramp sometimes when I'm on a Flash site, but I didn't know the CPU usage up to 100%. What place (s) you visit when you see this?

While the thermal pressure is not good for a computer, the heat is a natural by product of the processor and the fan running is not a warning of impending disaster, it means that the hardware and software do their work - keep the computer within safe limits. If the computer has reached a potentially dangerous temperature computer turns off automatically itself.

  • Impossible to uninstall Flash player - Mac OS x 10.6.8

I try to uninstall flash for Safari on my Mac and have downloaded the uninstaller from Adobe tool and ran it several times. In each case the program tells me that flash has been successfully uninstalled. I also deleted the cache files in system folders in accordance with the instructions in this tutorial.

However subsequently when I go to the detection page from Adobe still says I am running version 22.0.0.192 and if I visit youtube or CNN and start a video, make a right click on it will bring up options menu flash again telling me I'm on version 22.0.0.192.

Whats up with this, and then how the hell I get removed flash from safari? (Note that I still flash of pepper enabled on Chrome, which is my main browser)

    Hello m_vargas,

What are the chances, but this second suggestion was correct. Somehow the plugin has been in the other library/Internet Plug-Ins folder. However, the plugin had an (original) at the end of the file name for a reason any. I deleted this plugin, rebooted, and flash is not active on Safari.

Thanks for your help and suggestions thereon,

    See you soon

  • Cannot install Flash Player (Mac)

I'm trying to install Flash Player on a Mac of Yosemite (10.10.1). Whenever I try to open the installation program, the icon appears in the dock but no user interface never appears and activity monitor describes the application as being insensitive, forcing me from smoking it. I also tried to use the installer to "Flash Player for Safari and Firefox - NPAPI" linked to the Troubleshooting Page and while it provides a user interface and allows me to accept the license agreement it freezes the same way when I accept the terms on the first screen and successful install.

It is a clean installation of Yosemite, which is not even 24 hours old. The only other things installed on the Machine are the Manager package Java and Apple Homebrew development of command line tools.

Thanks much for the ideas that you guys can provide.

I just noticed that there is an update for Mac OS X after posting this (10.10.2) and, of course, that corrects the problem. Why does not install Flash on 10.10.1? It's a mystery.

During the installation of upgrade, the Mac crashed and I had to do a power off / reboot. Since then, installs just fail. I did all the steps on the Adobe help site including of same, reinstall, ran repair permissions, disk check, etc.. I even tried to install an older version of flash - still no installation. I returned and tried all the steps above and all I get is a "install does not" somewhere around 0-2%.

I downloaded the free app OnyX and cleaned the personal caches that removed a corrupt cache file. Restarted and installed correctly.

  • Invisible text in Flash Player Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I had problems with invisible text in Safari and Firefox on pages that use Flash Player.

    Here's what I know:

They are always in Flash, but not all of the text is invisible.
I created a new user account, and there is no problem.
I use the latest version of Flash.
I installed all the updates that are available from Apple.
Text does not appear in Firefox or Safari, so it is not only a problem of Safari, but seems to be a problem with Flash.

Here's what I did to try to resolve the problem:

Book fonts used to check all the fonts and to remove duplicate fonts installed by Snow Leopard.
Font book allows to disable the user fonts, since there were no problems with the other user account.
    Reinstalled Flash (several times).

Used the Flash uninstall program and then reinstalled.
Fix the permissions on the disk.
You discover a problem with iWork, so I reinstalled iWork (although I was not having a problem here).

Here is a screenshot.  It is the page Google stock. The small boxes along the lower right part of the chart are supposed to have letters that correspond to the links to the right of the graph. These appear in the other user account, but not in Safari or FireFox.

    <img src="http://homepage.mac.com/abramr/FlashInvisibleFonts.png"/>

So, now what? Is there a plist or something I can delete to Adobe Flash Player? If there is a problem with a different user account, what should I do? Can I somehow easily move all my stuff (documents, photos, music, etc.) to the new user account and then delete the old root user account?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Rob

I was able to solve the problem in my case.  I removed the fonts in the following folder:

~/Library/fonts (where ~ is your username)

RELOADED Safari and it worked fine.  I think that the fonts in the user folder were in conflict with fonts in the main folder in the upper part of the repertoire of the library.

  • Flash player Mac OS x 10.6.8 Firefox 47 22.0.0.192.

This bug appeared I noticed and discussed in 2012. The problem is the settings panel will not remain in the game. If I set to block storage whenever I left the system prefs and go straight back in it has changed to allow. But wait there's more, when I put to ask that remains, but only until the system reboots then it goes back to allow. If I put the camera & Mic to block, they won't go after leaving the both system preferences. This is the damned boring and probably a safety risk. Rob.

Problem solved, after testing the effect of all installed programs, I am pleased to inform you that repairing permissions has indeed fixed the problem. I also noticed that when to activate manually privacy that scans the parameters have been changed also as shown. But there are preference parameters in the analysis of privacy to change under the flash cookies settings, uncheck clear history and share objects. Thanks to all who have contributed. Rob.

  • I need help downloaded flash player (Mac)

so when download is at 60% it tells me I have to leave safari, which I am already. I have turned off and restarted my computer 2 times... Help?

You must close the Safari, not only the window of the browser process.

If you don't know how, restart your computer, and then run the installation program downloaded before anything else.

  • I can't download and install Adobe Flash Player on Firefox 26.0, using Mac OS x 10.9

I can't update (or install) Flash player.  Using FireFox (latest version updated this morning.)  Mac OS on a Mac Pro Tower 10.11.5.

I had version 21, 22 version is the latest.  I get.

"Adobe Flash Player could not be installed."

I did the troubleshooting steps below. Everything is good, as I can tell.

My Shockwave Flash game WAS, "always active".

I ran the Adobe Flash Installer who succeeded. Then, I tried a new facility, still no joy.  (He did remove Flash Player version 21, now I have Nothing.)

I've done several Mac reboots and re-tried the installation.  Flash will not install.

    It's really weird.

I recommend to uninstall completely, then put it back.

    Uninstall Flash Player - Mac:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Mac-OS.html

Then download the latest version here:

If you still run into that, are perhaps return you change when restoring a backup, or maybe you're a member of a corporate domain where the administrator pushes parameters to your machine?
