Flash player on Firefox Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite?

I tested the Flash Player 15.0 r0 (15.0.0.152) on Firefox (32.0.2) in public beta of Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite)

Subject: addons in Flash shows Flash Player.plugin as comfortable for MIME application/x-shockwave-flash (.swf) and "always active".

Yet as far as I can see, Flash does not start at all.  Is this a known issue?

(Of course, the program installation of Flash Player as the claims support through 10.9 OS.)  You have another month before 10.10 supposed to be delivered.  Photo: we'll be on top of that?)  [It works (for the most part) in Safari and works well on Chrome].

Hello

I overview 10.10.0_14A36c1 OS X and have installed 15.0.0.152 and Firefox 32.0.2 and am not having a problem displaying the Flash content.

Using Firefox, please navigate to The Flash Player Help.  Click on the button check now yellow.  It should detect the installed version of Flash Player and display in the widget which ensued.  There is also an animation Flash tree at the bottom of the page.  I also tested a few other popular websites that contain Flash content and was able to view the Flash video.

Please provide URLS to content Flash appears as expected.

  • Why I can't install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox 18.0.0.232?

I tried and tried to get the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox, but it won't take. Tried through update on the plugin page, tried through the Adobe Web site and still no luck. • The fake Flash Player update infects Macs with Shareware

This isn't a question, but just an info > see below:

(I hope), anyone who has used computers for some time must be aware of the ritual without end of update Adobe Flash against security vulnerabilities. Even if you run Flash on your computer, you have probably seen many titles in the media of tech in the years of the importance of keeping Adobe Flash (and his crony Acrobat PDF Reader) updated to protect against malicious attacks.

Then, what better way to trick someone with their computer infected only by disguising it in an actual Adobe Flash update?

It is precisely this that criminals are now, in their attempts to infect the Apple Mac users with scareware.

The first sign you will see that the criminals are looking to infect your computer Mac OS X is if you see a pop-up window as it appear while you browse the web: (photo here)

The beauty of this approach, point of view of criminals, is that the attack is not invoke any software vulnerability or exploit. Instead, social engineering is used to fool the uninformed user unwittingly download and does not perform a fake Adobe Flash version - designed to infect their computer with scareware.

  • Flash Player for Firefox on Win 8 / 64-bit

I'm trying to install Flash Player for Firefox on Windows 8, 64-bit system, but have no end of grief.

I finally get the problem initially, and it happens because when I enter the info on the download page, it instead serves the Setup program for the 32-bit version.

In fact, it checks on the page that I request and download the 64-bit version, but what I get and then install is 32-bit.  And, therefore, I can't get Flash Player to work in Firefox.

Is there any way at all I can access the true 64-bit Flash Player for Firefox / Windows 8?

There is no installation of 32-bit and 64-bit; on a 64-bit system, the Setup program will automatically install 32-bit and 64-bit players.

    Download the installer from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe

When I try to install flash player on my Mac, I get to the Panel who asked for my name and my password, but it won't take my password.  Tried to change the password, but same result.  Suggestions?

This password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.

If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt.  If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

  • Problems with Flash Player on Firefox 16.0.2

It happened in June and took all summer before this has been corrected and the flash drive worked again.  I did no changes... the player has just started working again after an update.   I just downloaded the latest update yesterday, and the flash player does not yet work on Firefox.  No symbol, just load the page and sits there Virgin.  It's also affecting the games on facebook, videos on youtube and online a site of homework for my class.  Still in the works for google email, but don't really know what he uses as it still works after that flash has crashed... and because of some flash games, flash player crashes a lot.

  • Cannot install Flash Player for Firefox

I am running Windows XP it with SP4.  IE and the latest version of Firefox are installed.

In IE and Firefox, trying to install Flash Player with the standard binding, I get an error message in a small window opens, the title "getPlus + (R): error," text 'Cannot load a GUI,' box 'OK '.  I got this by locating a stand-alone installation for IE, who uploaded a file to install it on my computer.  However, this does not work in Firefox, even when access to this link from Firefox.  The file runs, but Flash Player still shows as not installed in Firefox.

I can't find any program separate stand-alone installers for Flash Player for Firefox.

This error seems to be generated by the Adobe getPlus product installer.  My thought was to uninstall the Adobe installer and try again.  However, the Adobe installer appears in the list of installed programs, accessible via the Control Panel, BUT by clicking on the button to uninstall the program does nothing.  The program is still present.  I can't find a location for the installer from Adobe on my hard drive.

Hi Chris, I'm very well know the DLM/getPlus/getPlusPlus/NOS. :-) I see that you are too much now :-) Most users have no problem removing DLM to Add/Remove/programs and features through Control Panel.

There are a number of things to check. Using IE, go to tools > Internet Options. Click settings, and then view the objects. There that anything appearing on the above?

When you tried to delete the DLM, were using the administrator account?

Now, using the start SEARCH, enter in the "part of the name of" gp.ocx and note where it is and right click and delete it. Then, run a SEARCH on gp.inf and do the same thing.

Did you uninstall Flash Player using the Adobe uninstaller program then try again to install FP in FF?

I have some info Add ' l on the DLM, etc and will try to get it.

    Thank you

I posted this question 25 and have not yet received response. Because of this problem of crash, I can't do anything on my computer apart from solitaire game and hang out Adobe communities looking for an answer. I found several issues like mine (Mac, firefox, flash player constantly crashing) who have no answers either, and I'm getting upset. I've been floating around Mozilla and Apple Help sections, and there is no answer there either. How can I get an answer? Or is there just no fix for this problem and Flash player does not work on mac more? Y at - it another program that I can use instead of Flash player? I like a lot to an answer, the answer, or anything cause I've stuck here until then. Thank you for you time.

What can I do if Flash Player does not work?

    MacBook Pro 10.6.8

    36.0 Firefox without plugins

    Adobe Flash Player 16.0.0.305

    Hello

Since last week, Adobe Flash Player did not work on my computer at all. I can't watch videos and a webpage using Flash for accidents of ads.  I tried to use Adblock, thinking at first that the ads were the problem because they froze my computer in the past. There is nothing, so I went through the guide for Flash on the Mozilla Web site problems.  I removed all plugins, disabled acceleration hardware and even uninstalled Firefox and Flash player, then the reinstalled again. Still, it crashes and I don't know what to do anymore.   Is there something that can be done? Thank you for your time.

  • No Flash Player on Firefox 39.0 or IE 11.0.9600.17914 noise

Hi guys, I have a weird problem, I can not solve, and I hope that someone can help you:

My sound works fine in all applications: I have perfect sound, watch videos from YouTube on Firefox, but I can't not all sounds if I watch Flash Player videos or listen to the Radio Stations that use Flash Player using 39.0 Firefox or IE 11.0.9600.17914. I really dislike because IE my default browser is Firefox and my secondary browser is Chrome, however I think it is important information for troubleshooting purposes.

I've updated my Flash Player to the latest version: 18,0,0,209 and I have followed all of the steps proposed in this page, except the number 5 as my Antivirus does not and I'm not comfortable installing Codec Tweak Tool: http://www.codecguide.com/fix_for_flash_sound_problems.htm

And before anyone asks: Yep, I checked my Sound Mixer and Firefox is not cut, in fact I am posting to a station of Radio Switzerland on Firefox as I write this, of course, they use FlashPlayer.

OMG, I wish just that FlashPlayer would be dead now, and everyone should be using HTML5.

Okay, I just solved the problem by doing something I should have done at the outset: Refresh / Reset Firefox.

    Instructions are available here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

If all goes well it will still works after I have reload all my Add-ons.

Thanks for trying to help me.

    Cheers.

  • How to enable flash player on firefox to always turn on by default

So, while browsing the internet and watching flash videos became unresponsive and I stopped and sent the accident report. When I refreshed the videos to buffer again, I was invited to allow flash (Shockwave Player) to run. I never changed this setting to ask to activate before and I did it for me without my consent. When I tried to change that setting back always activate, the option is greyed out so I am not in a position to actually chose this option and continue my day. I'd not have to deal with this, because in my school, flash is heavily used and this has become a very big trouble that I would have corrected. Otherwise I will be forced to stop using Firefox, because it's too much an extra to have hassle to deal with. Also when updated to the latest version of flash player it does not correct the problem.

Due to a vulnerability declared in the current version of Adobe (https://helpx.adobe.com/security/prod.../apsa15-04.html), Mozilla has soft-blocked the latest version of the Shockwave Flash plugin. Therefore, you must enable on trusted sites to use instead of being able to set Firefox to allow all sites use Flash automatically.

If you are not accustomed to using the "Request to activate" feature a plugin, here's what to expect:

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click on the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash. Your choice: for a current or permanent use.

But the page might be using Flash only followed or playing a video ad. If you do not see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification, it will just sit there in case you want later.
