  I have Windows 7 and IE 8. It is a home desktop computer.

  When the last update of Flash Player 11.5.502.146 is automatically installed on January 9, IE8 has stopped working. I can browse a site, but then it just hangs. I can't click on a toolbar or other buttons or links - I can't even close IE - I have to use the Task Manager. If I disable Flashplayer, IE works fine, but then of course no content can be displayed.   I've uninstalled and reinstalled the newest drive about 4 times and Youtube and ESPN won't load. These are the only sites that I had the problem with to this day.

  YouTube works when I uninstall flash. But does not not ESPN. Everything else works fine. Just started doing this with the new update.

  Also, if there is no installed on the browser toolbar, try to uninstall it from the browser and check the performance.

  If it works then well other wise, you can try the following steps:

  1. Uninstall Flash Player in Panel of--> programs (two Active X and Plugin)

  2. download uninstaller for Flash Player and Sockwave

  Flash Player Uninstaller

  Shockwave Player Uninstaller

  3. run the uninstaller for each of them.

  4 delete the file Flash starting from the following locations:

  C:\Windows\System32\Macromed

  C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia

  C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe

  5. download Flash Player

  Google Chrome (even on a Mac) has its own exclusive construction of Flash Player ("PepperFlash"). It was modified by Google, incorporated by Google and maintained by Google. Adobe is working with Google for updates and patches, but it is "their baby" once it happens in the browser. It cannot be updated through this site. It updates ONLY by updating Chrome.

  There are instructions to perform a "clean installation" (How to perform a "clean installation" of Flash Player in Mac OS X) but that doesn't apply to the Flash Player for Safari and Firefox plugin.

  You can try this:

  Go to: [username] / Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome ([username] / library is accessible by pressing the "Option" when you click on 'Go' in the Finder menu)

  Inside the Chrome folder is a folder named "PepperFlash".

  Trash and empty the trash.

  Restart Chrome.

  Hello everyone, so I'm hoping someone can help me.  I updated my computer and now Flash Player does not work.  I followed the instructions to allow it, and it still does not work.  I like to play games on sites like Melting-Mindz, Escape, Bomberman and some other games but every time I go to one of these sites and click a game to play I always get the same message that adobe flash player is not enabled.  What can I do as I just want to really be able to play the games once more.

  1. Launch Chrome

  3. What is the version of Chrome (copy and paste in your answer)
  4. Go to chrome://plugins
  5. Click on the link + Details top right to view the details of the plugin (if not already displayed)
  6. Locate the entry for Adobe Flash Player
  7. What is the path to the pepflashplayer.dll file (copy and paste in your answer)
  8. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location obtained in step 7
  9. Which files are listed in this directory?  The list of all the filenames in your answer

  Completely remove Adobe Flash Player using Adobe Flash Uninstaller and reinstall. You can follow the steps below:

  -Use the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller to uninstall Adobe Flash:

  Download Adobe Flash Player uninstaller

  Hi candy, happy you found that Shockwave Flash Object, it works with Flash files and is very important

  NPSWF files you said aren't there, those who are for the browser Firefox or Chrome or any other browser. If you use Firefox and you want the Flash Player to do this, close all your browsers if you are looking only at your office.

  Click on the Flash Player for Firefox installer and save it on your desktop. Then run it from your desktop, and after it is finished installing, restart your computer.

  Then using Firefox go to the plug-ins and find a SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure that this option is enabled. It's like the Shockwave Flash for Internet Explorer object, but it is one that works with Firefox.

  I would like to know if this is what you wanted to do. If you do not use Firefox, but Chrome or any other browser, this will work for that one also.

  If you do not use another browser, then do this. I have just thot maybe that you did and that is why you were concerned that the NPSWF files were not there.

• Flash Player 10 does not work in some sites, works well in others

  Lately I had problems to visualize videos with Flash Player on many sites in which they considered much earlier. What I see is a solid black rectangle the size of the video screen. No player controls. Nothing. I looked at the code of the page, but found nothing out of the ordinary. The system on this machine is XP Pro with SPII, and the problem occurs whether you use IE 8 or Firefox 3.6.3. The screen showed 'about' that I had Falsh Player 10.0.32.18 installed on my system, so I downloaded 10.0.45.2 and installed, hoping that would solve the problem. Nope.

  Currently goes http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ via either IE of Firefox watch I have correctly installed the version 10.0.45.2. The animation plays well in both browsers.

  Today one of my friends is a graduate of Temple University in the Japan, the graduation ceremony was broadcast live (03:30 in the morning my time). I couldn't watch it. This site has been http://www.tuj.ac.jp/graduation2010/video.html hosting site is UStream, specifically http://www.ustream.tv/channel/tuj-2010-graduation I can not all videos on UStream to open. All I see is a black rectangle. My friend's mother had no problem viewed the ceremony with Firefox on his laptop computer.

  Other sites that worked well recently but no longer ply videos at all on this system are Fox News and NBC News. I have no problem watching Al Jazeera news videos, but videos post on UTube. I have no problem, watch videos on UTube. BBC News videos will work also perfectly, as do many other sites videos. It makes no difference if I accept or block cookies on the sites that cnnot play videos. What is different on these sites than others?

  I read that two related discussions here, not a problem with sites loading Flash... and Flash videos does not not on espn.com in any browser , but none of them had any relevant help to my problem. Instructions given in the first thread that is supposed to remove several files in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder, but I had none of the files lilsted.

  Is there something in my registry that needs to be changed? Is there something that my antivirus (Bitstream) program may have killed? I really want to solve this problem.

  You are welcome. Adobe really needs to do a better job of explaining the

  consequences of changes to the settings in the Global Settings panel.

• Flash Player 9 does not work with XP Home

  I have Flash Player 9.0.124.0 on my laptop with XP Home Edition works very well and was able to access a website for our new doctor. Our home desktop computer does not open same website so I checked and it had no Flash player on it. I have installed flash player on it, but it will not always be rendered content flash. Uninstalled and reinstalled about 7 - 8 times. Did the steps in uninstalling mentioned on the forum.
  
  Both systems are XP Home Edition SP2, IE 6 and Flash Player 9.0.124.0 (I tried to put the same player flash on the desktop version, because I knew that it worked on the other computer and had read some problems with version 10).

  All parameters have already were OK except:

  Advanced tab: HTTP1.1 settings tick the two boxes HTTP1.1 (second box was disabled)

  Security: check the box 'Enable native support XMLHTTP', (has not shown on my system)

  After the restarted and tried change, problem still there.

  ----------------------------------------

  So I decided to run CC Cleaner, after running Flash Player 9 has worked well!

  AVG Linkscanner/Safesearch new activated. Restarted again. Flash Player still work okay don't know what CC Cleaner fixed or pulled, but it resolved the problem.
