Flash update of same loop if it is updated (with FF 35.0 never no problem!)
A few weeks ago I started the installation of my new laptop. A FF 35.0. Installed Adobe Flash on Windows, so no plugin Flash FF and we were all happy rabbits.
Until version FF 35.01 came a few days ago. Just to be clear, I always have the latest version of Flash that updated them the current guard.
Now FF keeps giving me the message: "FireFox has prevented the obsolete plugin Adobe Flash running...". ». Laughing out loud
In my despair, I had even unnecessarily the Flash plugin. But NO JOY! The obsolete message keeps returning.
What is the problem?. Clearly, this has to do with the latest version of FF 35.01 as with the 35.0, I have not had ANY problems.
Could someone please advise
First - Firefox 35.0.1 was released the day before the last block Flash for Flash 220.127.116.117 was sent by Mozilla.
2nd - please click on the details of the system over to the right of your first posting in this thread. It shows that you have Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0 as a PluginInstalled. What it does not say is f before you version.243 ou.287 ou.296 installed.
So I guess the Flash 18.104.22.1686 update was released the same day that Firefox 35.0.1 was released, too. OU.296 was released the next day and Mozilla was 'notice' and ' jump on ' update of the red list the same day. Time of the release of Firefox 35.0.1 may represent a moot point, because each user may not have got this update the same day that Mozilla has released it.
Finally, there are at least 3 different Flash versions available.
ActiveX for IE
Plugin for Firefox and other Gecko-based browsers that use NPAPI
Pepper for Google Chrome and probably for some versions of the opera, which were published between Presto and Blink - namely the version of WebKit
Says what version of Flash you have installed this Adobe -http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ - page?
The review of Mozilla Plugin nay page was overloaded when you last used it. He seems to have been very slow at times, certain days of the week for recent weeks - from what I've seen and read in this forum.
I am also having the same problem with the same updates. I have Windows XP SP3 and it's updates with the problem.Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x 86 (KB2572073)
A security update for .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x 86 (KB2518864)
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x 86 (KB2633880)
They all install properly but switches back to windows update to install. It's some kind of loop.
In addition, if you still have questions, please take a look at the thread similar here with a solution as possible.
I hope this helps!
A few days ago, I have updated Flash Player on all my computers.
Today at bowsing on a webserver which apparently was not using any Flash content
There is no mention of what version talks about this update.
At the same time the range of low grade in the IMMA make me think about typical adware
who try to take us to the navigation on the commercial web servers.
I tend to think it's a more wrong Flash Updater.
How can I determine if this Setup is real or fake?
How can I quickly see the version of that this installer is speaking?
How can I identify what source is this bleeding window?
An update of Flash Player version was released two days ago: 22.214.171.124.
However, I don't know how to identify false update notifications.
Best way to avoid false updates is to manually download the update from the Adobe or Macromedia site: g http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm - this link always contains the latest available Installer.
I have a year old MacBook Pro TechTracker and CNET said that there is a new Flash update. The last time I tried updating Flash, which was my first time, I messed up my MacBook Pro. I got help and realized there are very detailed instructions to remove the latest version and install the latest version for Mac. Don't know why, those who don't come not with the download but TechTracker downloaded Update Flash but I'm super nervous to do anything whatsoever because of the problems I experienced last time. I don't remember what I did and if I did if I followed the same instructions to each update.
Anyone willing to help me with the procedure to update to the latest version of Flash? Should I wait to update or what people who know what they're doing do when released a new update.
I have 3 downloads now because every time I turn on my mac downloads TechTracker power on and off a new updated Flash.
Hi Kooler1, no I did not upgrade updated Flash Player to the latest version yet. Yes, I follow my software updated, but I would like to wait to make sure that no problem.
It will work fine. There is no reason to worry too much. Some Web sites take time to update also on their end.
On the test site, I couldn't remember which version of Flash Player, updated you to the last hour. I had thot it was 10.1.85.3 but there must have been 10.1.102.64, so no problem there. Glad that you do not have the 10.1.85.3.
I am running Win7Pro, Firefox 38.0.5 and Adobe Flash 18 NPAPI.
Firefox will not run content Adobe Flash. Please tell us how to fix. I tried to update adobe several times without success.
In case the problem is that the plugin is not activated, you can check the addons page? Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click on Plugins. Search for 'Shockwave Flash' down on a gray background and if you find it, change the 'never activate' to 'ask to activate '.
(With this setting, when you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.) If you do not need Flash to run on the site, ignore the notification ;)
If Shockwave Flash is not listed on the page Add - ons:
Verify the physical presence of the Plugin DLL
On Windows 7 64 bit, it's here:
and the file would be named NPSWF32_18_0_0_160.dll (unless there is a newer version with something different instead of 160).
If the file is there... and coming out and starting Firefox save do not discover it...
One of the possible reasons for a plugin not installed on the addons page are if Firefox has been set NOT to scan the registry for plugins. Another is that the settings of Firefox, plugin data storage file is corrupt. Here are the steps to check these possibilities:
Confirm that Firefox scans the registry for plugins
Firefox detects the plugin Flash to a registry entry. Some users have scanning disabled for some reason any. Here's how check and fix this:
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the filter box, type or paste the scan and make a pause so that the list is filtered
(3) If plugin.scan.plid.all is not set to its default value true, double-click it to activate it by default.
If you have changed this setting, close and restart Firefox to start another analysis.
If you see the Add-ons, Plugins section page again, you will find 'Shockwave Flash' it?
If Firefox is set to scan, but still do not find the Flash and the list on the page Add - ons...
Remove the registry file for the plugin for Firefox
Sometimes the pluginreg.dat file is damaged. You can remove it and Firefox plugins re-scan.
Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
- Menu help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste Subject: support in the address bar and press enter
In the first table of the page, click on the "view file" button to launch a new window of Windows Explorer showing your settings files.
Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
- File menu > exit
Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename pluginreg.dat to something like pluginreg.old
Launch Firefox back up again. (If you want to restore your previous session non-private use history > restore previous Session.)
When you return to the page modules, 'Shockwave Flash' is finally here?
Following a recent Flash update, I hear no sound on YouTube videos.
I can still hear sound on the video test of FF, here page:
So I went to this help page:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/no%20sound%20in%20firefox?s=sound+YouTube & r = 0 & m = & did = s
On this page, he refers to a feature in Windows called "Volume Mixer". The screenshot shows three applications to the Volume mixer function, they are called "Sound system", "Mozilla Firefox" and "Container Plugin for Firefox".
I only have one called 'System Sounds '. The other two are missing. Why is it so and how do I restore them?
On the Microsoft forum, they tell me that the applications are added here automatically.
Another forum suggested that the plugin was blocked by my firewall. This isn't so.
And yet another forum suggested that I disable using accident coverage a topic: config parameter: there's no way I'm going to do this.
I have now uninstalled Flash, which was a beta version because the latest 'stable' done FF crash when viewing Google Docs.
I then installed the latest recommended Flash in the usual way, and this, combined with the upgrade to version 11 FF seems to have solved both problems.
Thanks for your help.
" Any other person with a 'bona fide' looking for Adobe Flash update see the Web page to the top with a separate window to download UI claiming to be Adobe Flash, BUT the said Web site address bar: ' https://ziejaweleda.org/9903093391632/9903093391632/146161208081479/flashplayer.exe " ?? I find this VERY ALARMANT! It replaced a weather Wunderground page while I was away from the computer for a few hours. Fortunately, I didn't just assume it was legitimate, so I do not click it. WTH is happening? I'm sure Adobe would like to know if a hacker uses their 'look' to install shtuff nasty on the client PC to!
BUT... If ziejaweleda.org IS Adobe under a different name for some CRAZY reason WE DEVRIONS KNOWLEDGE! AND... you ignorant posters requiring to CHOOSE a COMMUNITY when there is NO Flash and security no. or any adequate category! Wasted my time trying to help you, Adobe!

You posted in the Acrobat security forum, why not Flash Player forum?
But chances are that it is a scam. If it appeared when you visited a legitimate site opportunities are
* the site is hacked
* It is advertising on the site for hack
* your machine is compromised to provide faulty pages
Google Chrome refuses to visit this site, saying that it has been reported as dangerous. Unfortunately, copying a good site web and attached to reliable brands are favorite Stunt a hacker. Adobe rarely have the power to close these things, they are usually in a distant part of the world with different laws. To get the software, if you are told that you need, ignore a popup and go to the original source (here http://get.adobe.com/flash ).

Hi, thank you very much, your 188.8.131.52 Flash issue fixed it for me on Firefox.
I'm under Win8.0, Firefox 34.0.5. I have NO options when I select upgrade - I get a 'Save' option for downloading, after which I have to go to the download folder, select and run the .exe file that installs BOTH the Flash player AND McAfee software updated. I DON'T want McAfee and immediately uninstall it. How can I prevent its installation? Thank you!
The easiest way is to simply use Internet Explorer, Edge (for Win10) or Chrome, which bundle Flash Player as a component integrated on Win8 and higher, so there is never an installer to download, or an update to install (they are delivered via Windows Update or the update of Chrome, respectively).
For Firefox, you will need to uncheck the box for McAfee on the download page itself, after which you will get the installation program that is not group McAfee. I posted much longer explanations on the subject, so I'm not going to come in here, but we invite you to look through my flow for a longer and more eloquent background.
How to block the automatic Flash updates? Blocking possible updates in the registry? If Yes, then how?
These questions are in reference to a work environment where Flash updates will be deployed by SCCM.

You use Windows or Mac computers?
If you use a Mac, it's the Mac OS which is asking password and not Adobe Flash Player. Please follow what userid & password I need to install Flash Player?
Can someone help me? I can't install the Flash update on my Mac OSX. I get the error message 'failed to install. Not enough permissions to write to the disk. "When I click"Try again"I get a screen that shows all the 'Connected', but the percentage remains at 0% and nothing happens.
I have uninstalled Flash and tried to do a clean install and nothing works.

This morning I received the message, my Flash Player is too old and should be updated. I was wondering, because I use Windows 8.1. and the Flash is located and automatically updated. But when I did the update, with the fact that he brought the Vosteran program which hacked all my browsers. I got rid of it with a malicious software program, but the thing came again and when I read the license agreement with a lot of attention, he said, it will bring Vosteran and it luckily possible to uncheck that. So I refused to do this update, but want to know if there are false reports updated on the way.
Flash Player is installed on the computers of 1.2 billion. It is a popular choice for the attackers when they want to trick someone into downloading counterfeit software.
Always download the software directly from the supplier. For Flash Player, if you see a line of upgrade, and then either use the Refresh button on Control Panel > Flash Player > advanced, or select http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to make sure that the files you download are legitimate.
I've recently updated to Muse CC (2014.2), but this morning, it appeared in my menu cloud creative as needing to be updated again. What is a minor update with exactly the same name?
I've recently updated to Muse CC (2014.2), but this morning, it appeared in my menu cloud creative as needing to be updated again. What is a minor update with exactly the same name?
The update is for a few bug fixes and will show 2014.2 in CC as the update includes the fix: Release notes | Adobe Muse CC
For more exact version information, you can check on muse Muse in menu options.
I'm flash ESR deployment at my organization and I want to have auto update turned on in order to always a version with the latest flash ESR security patches installed. To do this I downloaded the version of Support extended to:
and set up a deployment with enabled auto-mises to date. Automatic update works well but it updates the flash 184.108.40.206 customers and I want them to stay in the edition of ESR to first flash it in any way to configure the update for flash process ESR is only updated with new versions of ESR?
It is the expected behavior. To keep your organization in the ESR branch via automatic updates, we recommend accommodation local resources background update and allowing customers to background updates. When you host locally updated background the Flash Player is updated in silent mode when an update is available and users will not be presented with the Update Notification dialog window. Substantive updates to on-site accommodation requires you to obtain the resource file and posting it to your internal server every time that a new Flash Player version is available.
Information on accommodation of ESR Background updated resources are available on page 20 (the current) Flash Player Administration Guide published to Adobe Flash Player Administration for Flash Player 14 Guide | Adobe Developer Connection. Other methods to keep your organization branch ESR is to disable updates and distribute Flash Player via Group Policy, Active Directory or SCUP catalog distribution. All of these methods of distribution are described in Chapter 3 of the Guide.
