    Dear all,
Firefox crashes when I try to play flash videos from any website, but when I run firefox as administrator, it works very well. (but Google Chrome, Opera & I.E9 video parts without administrator.) I use Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Help, please.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

You go about it the wrong way.  Your MacBook is not the right tool to do this.  Instead, you'll need a media player to an HDMI supports Amazon:

  • Upload a video to Amazon author Central?

I have a video minute of three-and-a-half that I just uploaded on YouTube. It's the content of a book I wrote and sell on Amazon. Amazon.com has a page named Amazon author Central in which an author can upload a video. Here are the instructions:

    1. We are unable to embed videos hosted on YouTube directly on the Amazon.com retail or author pages.

    2. However, if you are the original source of the download of the video you can download the video through your account Central of the author and it will appear on your author Page, as long as the content remains in the Amazon.com content guidelines.

    3. Adding videos

    4. You can add up to eight videos and choose the order in which they appear on the Amazon.com author Page.

      1. Select the videos that conform to the following guidelines:
        • In one of the following formats: avi, wmv, flv, mov, mpg or.
        • Not more than 10 minutes in length.
        • Less than 500 MB.
      2. Profile Central author tab, click on Add a video.
      3. Click Browse and select your video.
      4. Click on the box to confirm that you own or that you have disabled all the rights to the video that you are adding, and then click download video.

I would like to add my video which is now on YouTube on my author Central page. The instructions above don't give me enough information on how which to that. Can anyone on the forum help out me.

How can one last thing - I know what my video format is in. I use Adobe Premiere elements 11 as the editing program. Should I include my YouTube video URL?

What if all you have is what is shown on YouTube and this is the video you have downloaded it, then you can get a copy of the download on Amazon on the Amazon site.

Here is how I found it works.

    • Go to YouTube and your username at the top right of the page.
    • Click on the triangle to the right of the ID to get a list of choices. Select video Manager.
    • In the page that opens, find your video that you've downloaded. Note that there is 'Edit' under the thumbnail of the video. And furthermore noted, that there is a triangle to the right of the word 'change '. Click on the triangle to get a list of choices.
    • Select the "Download MP4".

According to the needs of video from Amazon, you should be able to download the MP4 to your hard drive (where you save it) on Amazon.

Please check the above and let us know if it works for you.

    Thank you.

  • Firefox won't play videos from YouTube, Hulu, newer version of w/Flash etc..

Despite more Firefox and Flash directions, Firefox can't read videos from YouTube, Hulu, etc.. They not only never load or load and freeze a few seconds. Before I got the latest versions of Firefox and Flash, I did not have this problem. So there must be a problem in one or two of them. Since from different sites, I understand that it is a widespread problem, can Firefox fix this? This is a major gap in the latest version of Firefox.

Adobe first is ideal for digital editing.

In regard to the length of the buffer, to prgoressive broadcast you simply click on the playback controller and make up the properties of the control window. There is a buffer here setting where you can add a number that you want. The value default est.01 and good memory buffer can be anywhere from 3 seconds to 30 seconds depending on the length of the video and the end user modem is slow.

  • No sound on videos from facebook

    Hello
Suddenly I have no sound during playback of videos on facebook. It's OK on Chrome. I've updated plug-ins; Downloaded video from Youtube Flash Player. Can't think what else to do. Help!

  • When I click with the right button of the mouse on videos from facebook it shows no options for me to copy the link and etc.

When I click with the right button of the mouse on videos from facebook it shows no options for me to copy the link and etc. It only shows the parameters for the flash player. How can I fix?

You can find the URL of the thumbnail by following these steps:
In the context menu, choose {inspect element}.
Now, you can see the URL in the source down (perhaps you click the small arrow to the left of the line of seledted firstly to show).

  • Cannot play flash videos in Firefox

I am unable to play content flash facebook or CNN video. I use Firefox 31 and Flash 14.0.0.179 (32-bit) running Windows 7 Pro. I also have the 64-bit version installed for use with internet explore. These videos play fine in internet explorer but not in Firefox. Videos CNN stopped play in Firefox months ago and Facebook stopped in recent days.

I started Firefox in safe mode, reset Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled flash and uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of realplayer (found this suggestion online). So far, nothing worked.

Just CNN videos freeze once the Player control bar appears at the bottom of the frame. Advertising plays, but it hangs at the start of the video of actual news.

Facebook displays the thumbnail for the video (no AutoPlay as it does in IE will) and when you click it you get the pop-up window with the user comments for the right, but just a black square where has to play the video.

If I right click and go to settings for flash, when I click on disable hardware acceleration, it reactivates it as soon as I click on close on the setting screen. When I return to the parameters of the box is checked again.

Accidents or other problems with some multimedia content in Firefox (for example, videos from Youtube and Flash animations or games) can often be solved by doing as in these Knowledge Base articles:

On Windows Vista and above all, you can disable protected Flash mode by following the instructions on these pages:

(See this blog post Adobe for more technical details on protected mode Flash.)

  • I can't view the videos from the loading of FIREFOX. WHY?

After the conversion from IE to Mozilla Firefox, I lost the ability to view the videos. I get frequently URLs to access videos from You Tube or other on line videos. Since migrating to Firefox, they will not load. Just today, I downloaded Adobe Flash Player, but I still can't watch videos.

First thing that comes to mind is one of your extensions, particularly GreatArcadeHits. To do a search on it, I stumbled on this from botcrawl.com:

The GreatArcadeHits virus (also found that the virus of the great Arcade Hits; although not technically a virus) is a potentially unwanted program or combination of qualified of adware, malware and spyware which mainly installs computer systems with or without consent alongside software downloaded from download.com browser hijacker and monetized other freeware and shareware distribution sites.

So, you want to uninstall that permanently your extensions. Go to Firefox button/File > Add-Ons/Extensions then uninstall GreatArcadeHits.

Also, go to your control panel, Instructions in XP:
Start > Control Panel > Classic view > Add/Remove programs and check to see if GreatArcadeHits is there. If this is the case, you can uninstall it.

One last thing, you want to scan your computer for viruses. You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.
