Flashing black rectangles on the normal display mode (not full screen)

In the last two weeks, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. Now when I open a browser, black flashing boxes appear whenever my cursor moves and the screen is unusable because of this. The only solution I have found so far is to use the mode setting full-screen. Then, the screen is stable and the black boxes are not anywhere on the page. Anyone has a suggestion on how to fix flashing black boxes?

Please see images added to this posted question. Thank you!!!

By clicking on the green button at the top left puts the application in mode full-screen.

If you hold the option key and press the green button it expands to occupy the entire screen real estate - but it is different then the WSF.

  • Featuring strange light in the "Normal" display mode

Hello world. I would appreciate your help with a problem that had me driven nuts today. I'm sure that there is a simple explanation - but I'm certainly not!

I had another designer working on one of my InDesign grids and when I open in Normal display mode - there's this strange cyan highlighting (see screenshot). I asked them to let me know if they changed something in the document preferences, but they did not get back to me.

It does NOT highlight a police problem - there is no problem with fonts and no pre-press error so I'm sure it's just a display problem. Any ideas, what is on or changed guys please? Any help gratefully received...

    Thank you very much

You could press F11 to see if that it will bring back to normal mode.

    Or follow these steps.

As you tell us what is your operating system, you need to adjust the information provided for your operating system.

  • Display mode video full screen

When I use the view full screen, I struggle to play the videos.  The problem is that the video files do not play automatically, there's no indication (for example the playback controls) which indicate that the file is a video.

As I've shared in a separate post, I tried the 30 day trial of Lightroom, but it is a feature that is causing me to not want to use Lightroom.  Is there a workaround that I'm missing?  I mean, I'm not going on the process in the right way?

    Hey Danny_DeLoach,

Hope you are doing very well

You play video Slideshow module or library, because if you play full-screen, it will be not video library module, it's a problem known on which we work and most likely will be corrected in the next update of LR.

As if now you can go ahead and play videos in full-screen slideshow module.

  • The Microsoft Reader does not full screen?

I'll try to find a software that will allow us to display full screen of our PDF files, but unfortunately same Microsoft Reader does not seem to go full screen.

When I say that, I mean that the document covers the WHOLE screen. When I open a PDF file, it just seems to fit on the screen itself, no matter what are the properties I saved the PDF file with. If portrait it is huge chunks of empty space on the screen at the top and bottom. When considering landscape there are huge chunks of free space on the sides.

I don't know if maybe I do a narrower PDF file, because I see no other reason for a file does not fill the entire screen when the mode full screen is selected. Any ideas or ways to solve this problem?

    Hello

You can change the type of display of various parameters through PDF documents using player App. see the link for how to do:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/reader-app-FAQ

To view PDF documents in full screen, you can use your favorite search engine and the search for software.

Warning: using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. • display is not full screen

Don't know where to post this, but my screen does not cover the full screen as it did before.  Can someone please?  Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Should be a button of Automatic Reset on your monitor to reset to the default values.

If the above doesn't fix or apply in your case > go to the website of your computer manufacturer > search for a driver and software download section > key in your computer model munber > look for the right Vista operating system > find drivers (graphic, video, Chipset, according to the wording it) > download and install.

Once you have done this, you can then change the screen resolution according to your options:

  • HP Envy 15-k111nl: a black rectangle on the start of the game

    Hi all

I am writing here because I am having graphics problems during execution of any kind of games on my brand new HP Envy 15-k111nl. In particular, the games work with Dx9, while they never work in mode Dx11. immediately after I start the game, in fact, I have a black rectangle in the upper left of the screen (in the rest, I see the desktop). I can move the cursor, and I can hear the sound of the game play. Have you ever heard on this issue?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi SDF15,

Thank you for your help. The issue was due to the accident of my Nvidia drivers. I discovered that it was triggered by another pilot that I had installed a VGA on USB cable. Now, it's all ok!

O what program are you using to view the photos on your computer?

O does happen with all photos or individual photos?

Ø what exactly do mean you when you say normal display?

  • All of a sudden my pictures folders are now all show in Windows Media Player and I can't open each photo in full screen, but only in the video display mode.

All of a sudden my pictures folders are now all show in Windows Media Player and I can't open each photo in full screen, but only in the video display mode.   When I go to my pictures and choose view as thumbnails, that's fine, but when I click on the individual photo, it shows on the screen no video not in mode full screen and I can't move the photo to the photo without closing the video screen.  How can I get my pictures on Windows Media Player?

This problem has now been resolved.  I went in my computer > tools > Folder Options > file Type, select the type of file and clicked on advanced then > change and changed back to Windows Picture and Fax Viewer in Windows Media Player.  I had the idea of a response posted on this forum about a different issue, but who pointed me in the right direction.

2 methods. Since you mentioned at 90 degrees, I'll start with this first...

    2. press on Ctrl + Alt keys together and HOLD... While holding down, use the arrow keys to realign the screen position.

  • Show/hide all the extension of the links at the opening of the subjects outside the normal display

Does anyone know how to create a button or link that shows or hides all growing links in menu drop-down lists in a section of WebHelp, when the topic is open * outside * of the traditional view? I know that Peter Grainge has a solution for this on his site, but it assumes that the normal display is used, which is probably true for almost all users of RoboHelp. We, however, open outside this view help topics, I am looking for a solution that does not require a button in the skin.

I watch the toggle.js Javascript file provided on the website of Peter Grainge, but I didn't know how to change the lines that assume the presence of a bsscright frame.

    Thank you

    Hello

The problem is that there is a 'show' in whtopic.js function which is in conflict with the variable in the script. Rename the variable 'show' and all occurrences of something like "isshown" to fix the script.

  • Color calibrator may not work correctly, because the display does not fill screen.

I have a Thinkpad W520 with 1920 x 1080 HD display and the color sensor. I tried to run the color standard application but always, she will work until the end but cannot process measures. So I opened the lid in the middle of a calibration and discovered that the color screen that is supposed to be seen by the sensor is not full screen, thus preventing the color measurement sensor. How can I set the graphics so that this application is displayed full-screen when executing? Thank you.

Yes. But I just solved the problem. I set my display to display the text, icons, etc., to 150% of normal resolution. Somehow, he was causing the application displays only a partial screen. I set the magnification to 125% and now the standard color works very well.

    Hello

I suggest that you reset the Visual effects, then check if that helps.

    (a) click Start, click Run, and then type sysdm.cpl

    (b) click on the Advanced tab

    (c) in the course of execution, click settings

    (d) click the Visual Effects tab

    (e) If you have custom settings, note the configuration in a document.

    (f) set it to adjust for best performance

    (g) click on apply

    (h) repeat the above steps and reset your settings favorite again.
