  I try to install Service Pack 2 on Vista, but it's just not going to install on my laptop. I tried all the solutions given on the help, for example using rugged, stand alone installation, uninstallation of McAfee, etc with no luck.

  The installation goes through steps 1 and 2 of fine, then get to 100% in step 3, bu, then it gives me a message "Service pack not installed, restore changes" and after about an hour, I get in Vista, where it gives me a message that the installation has been unsuccessful and the details of its says:

  ERROR_SERVICE_CANNOT_ACCEPT_CTRL (0 X 80070425)

  I use a Dell Inspiron 9400.

  Everyone has the same problem as me; upgrade to Flash cs3 pro, only to discover that she does not install properly on my Vista Home Premium computer. pretty darn boring and completely wasting my time online and phone. • MXL 990 Microphone will not install on Vista 64

  I recently bought a MXL 990 USB, but Windows Vista 64 microphone it won't install. The microphone does not a driver and it does not work , because it installs instantly on my XP system. I have consulted the MXL TEC and searched the Web and all the pages of Microsoft for answers, but found nothing. I ran software Microsoft Fix It, but it found no problem. My system updates automatically, but I searched some other updates for audio drivers without success. Again,that what mike does not require a pilot , however, the system requires one tries to find an and cannot (because they do not exist and are not necessary with this mike). Setting procedure is not possible because the microphone is not recognized and does not present as an option. Help, please!

  Please try plugging a "known to work with Vista" USB Audio device.

  If it is recognized, without disconnecting, plug the MXL 990 and see

  the first device can be disabled as a device audio, but not disconnected.

  I saw a thread somewhere on a file is missing, but I don't have a clue as how to do the copy of one part of Vista to another file that they were referring to, as I'm not really tech savvy.

  Well looking at the log you've posted, I came across this article:
  MSI (s) (2 c: D4) [22:29:29:073]: sequence number number for this installation system restore.
  This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator.

  So it seems that if your system has a software restriction policy installs.  You need to contact your IT Department. to learn about the changes to the policy will be to install Silverlight.
