  I read several answers to this question on the forum already, but none of the solutions with the fitting to my problem.  We live in formerly frequent power cuts, so our router resets a lot when the power comes back on.    I am able to connect to the internet through the connection, but my roommate is unable to connect, even if the connection is displayed on its networks wireless in range.  We tried resecuring the router, change security settings, connected the laptop to the router directly and changed the settings on it, all to nothing does not.  At some point tonight, I was able to connect her laptop to the network.  For the first time, Vista has offered an option "Connect to the network unsecured in any case" option, but he has not appeared since.  Any help on that would be great.  Thank you in advance!

  A second option is to try the following steps:
  Powercycle the network:
  1. turn off your laptop.
  2. unplug the power to your router.
  3. disconnect the power to your modem.
  4. wait at least 45 seconds.
  5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
  6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
  7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

  Turn off the power to the adapter:
  1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
  2. expand the network adapters.
  3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
  4. click on the power management tab.
  5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  6. click on OK.
  7 test cycle.

  Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
  1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
  2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
  3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
  4 restart your PC and test.

  1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
  2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
  3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
  4 restart your PC and test.

  Reinstall the NIC drivers:
  1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
  2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
  3. expand network adapters.
  4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
  5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
  6. restart your PC and test.

  Test an ethernet connection:
  Explicit. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.

  Test another connection:
  Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

  I tried to fill the connection between my laptop Wi - Fi and an ethernet cable LAN via the connection to the Local network for my xbox 360. However, when the connections passed the wireless connection would show that it is disconnected and would not reconnect. When I tried to repeat the process sometimes the same thing happens sometimes it says that it is still connected.

  This Microsoft Knowledge Base article might help: bridge may not work with a Non-Promiscuous Mode network card .

  When I start my PC HP TouchSmart it does not recognize my wireless network.  It says wireless network adapter cannot connect to the wireless network and the details said network adapter "Local network connection * 16 ' does not work properly. The strange thing is that if I leave my computer for a few minutes, then restart it twice, it recognizes the network and starts working.   I just bought a new HP Photosmart B110A printer range. I got set up with my Belkin wireless router. It is successfully connected. I could set up printing webservice as well. The printer is offline and I could also print a document by sending an email to the email address for the printer configuration. This means that the printer is connected to the wireless network and the internet.

  However, I can not connect to this printer from my PC connected to the same wireless netwrok. When I open the HP Solution Center, it displays the message "disconnected wireless.

  When I connect the printer via USB cable, I am able to connect to the PC and impressions as well fire.

  Can anyone help please?

  I just installed a Belkin modem-router - which went well. Can I connect WiFi gadgets etc. I can also connect to the internet via a network cable to my pc. I also installed a belkin usb wireless adapter and in Device Manager, says it is enabled and works.

  Good news - update of my ongoing saga with this Belkin modem/router.

  Got the pc to see wi - fi now. It turned out to be the Zone Alarm! As the router has a firewall, I uninstalled Zone Alarm completely. Also, I went into the properties of belkin usb and checked it was the most recent drivers, it does not so I installed them.

• dv6t-6100 laptop loses the connection to the wireless network

  I n HP 6100 dv6t Select Edition Entertainment Notebook PC running Windows 7 (64 bit) with a card Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN. After starting the laptop and looking e HP Connection Manager to display the message connected WiFi only immediately disconnected.  This just continues as long as the computer is on.  All work well for at least a year before it started, and to my knowledge has not changed have been made.  I have internet Comcast with TM602G ARRIS cable modem and a Netgear WNR1000 router.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the network adapter, unpluging power and reset the cable modem and the router and start up the laptop in safe mode with network without success.  Connection to the laptop computer directly to the router works fine.  I also have a second laptop running windows 7 with two IPads some smartphones and my printer HP connected wireless without any problem.  I also tried turning off other devices with no luck.

  Thanks again, already tried to reset the modem, the router and the PC as you suggested and that did not work but I tried closing all other devices connected to the wireless router and the laptop connected properly.  Guess I will just have to turn on devices one at a time to see if one of them is to interfere or just for many connected devices.  It's again the aid.

  Hi all, I have a C4599 All in One Printer. I have just set up successfully with a WiFi connection to my router / modem network (infrastructure mode). There is no error message and I can print from a variety of laptops Windows (XP, Vista and 7). I loaded the HP eprint app on my Ipad 4 but it can not detect the printer. Note that the HP site says that this printer is compatible with the App ePrint.

  A second and possibly related is that I recorded with the HP eprint service website but I can't get the code or e-mail address for my printer. I can't find any way to turn it on the Web Services on the printer? (The HP site says this should be under Setup > wireless to the printer, but it is not.) There are only options to turn on/off the wireless, testing the wireless and print the wireless network and printer settings (which are all OK > PASS or information).

The printer would not print directly from the iPad to the printer either. This is a feature called AirPrint.   Error 1068 is generally a mistake to the ICS and is not something that you need a license to connect to a wireless network.
