Flex 14 issue of Audio in Jack / headphones

Hey, I have a flex 14 ideaPad and until recently all worked without problem audio-wise (when headphones have been and is not plugged in), except for randomly a couple of days, when I plugged the headphones in the plug and no sound came through the headphones or the speakers, although the headphones were detected by the laptop. When I unplugged the sounds would come again through the speakers.

I tried again with a different set of headphones, but the problem came back that lead me to believe that the problem is with the laptop, after searching solutions online, I decided to remove it and then reinstall the Player audio (Realtech HD Audio Manager). This fixed the problem for a few days, but now the same problem is back. I'm confused as to whether this is a hardware/software problem based as when I reinstalled the driver he solves the problem, so he could not really related material being.

If anyone knows what is the problem? Should I just continue to remove and reinstall the driver? Once again the helmet are detected by the laptop, they do not appear as their own reading device (is it always the case?)

Thanks, Tiernan

The configuration of Realtek on the Flex has Windows only show a single, common system for all the audio outputs.

Here is the latest driver from Realtek. If the problem persists after, I would recommend a warranty call.

  • quality audio jack headphone carbon x 1 sounds terrible

I love everything about my carbon x 1 with the exception of the audio output jack for headphones/microphone. The sound that comes out when I plug it into any standard 1/8 in (3.5 mm) stereo plug sounds terrible (headphones, speakers, etc.). Any particular reason why this unit or anyone else has a similar problem? This Jack is even supposed to use for standard headphones or what? Do I need headphones with a built-in mic for best sound quality? Thank you!

    Hi, bayern2668

You should not need a headset for this port works correctly. The reason for the symbol for headphones and a microphone must demonstrate that he supports both. On older machines, there were two separate ports for these devices, but they have since then been combined into one.

I recommend first of all by ensuring that the BIOS and audio drivers are up to date for your computer. The latest BIOS for your machine came out a week ago and can be found here. The audio driver is not as new, but is still relevant and can be found here.

Best of luck and let me know how it goes

  • Challenges of the audio input jack (seems not work)

    Hello

    I use an HP Envy 15-j030eb, running Windows 8.1 x 64.

Recently, I need to use my laptop audio input jack to connect my speakers, but I don't get all the sounds. I tried to connect two different types of headphones, with no audio to come through. I don't remember really when I finally used, but I'm sure it worked at some point.

Otherwise it is inserted into the Jack, I get his normal good through the internal speakers, connect a TV via HDMI also works very well.

I tried most of the solutions I could find online (definition of default playback device, change the bass and treble levels, do a hard reset, reinstall the drivers...), but nothing helped. Start Notepad from a live USB Ubuntu USB also translates the same behavior; play music while my works of great internal speakers connection helmet muffles all. This leads me to believe that it is not a Windows/driver issue, but a bios/firmware/hardware one.

Run HP (from usb boot) and the test of speaker adio also doesn't send audio signal to my helmet and gives a failure code: gll3kv-6nm782-mfgjxg-20ek03. I could not decypher this identifier.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and get my audio jack working again please?

    Kind regards

    Hi @klmdb

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your audio jack. I looked in that identification code of the failure that you have posted and there is an audio hardware failure which could be a couple of different things, but from what you describe, it's the audio jack that has failed.  The audio jack is not a replaceable part, you will need to seek to replace the motherboard or card mother.

  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

Please let me know if any of the work of tip for you suggestions and if we don't solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

Now I get a message "you have just disconnected a device to the audio input jack" quickly followed a message that 'you have just plugged a device in the audio." He then takes the messages. This translates to stop the music. I checked all the connections.

    Hi all

my laptop has a shot of audio output for headphones, so my question is: how is it possible to record from an internal audio source using my laptop? For example, I would like to record audio from my digital piano.

  • Audio in the headphones, speakers Dead works

ThinkPad T520. Win 10 Pro. After a reboot directly after the 10586.3 update, I lost audio to the speakers. Audio in the headphones is very good. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well, all uninstall connected to the sound system and re - install has nothing. Then, in the middle of all the frustration, the update of 1511 for X 64 systems was pushed. After that the installation and reboot, to his return. Heard as soon as the desktop appeared. Obviously some kind of flaw in the previous upgrade ruined something and the update of 1511 repaired. Microsoft mysteries continue. In any case, done deal.

  • Genesis 4 Apple Tv doesn't have an optical Audio input jack.

I just replaced my generation 3 Apple Tv with a generation 4 Apple Tv.

The Genesis 3 has an optical Audio input jack that I used to connect my Bose system.

The Genesis 4 doesn't have it.  Now I can't audio through my Bose system.

    Any suggestions?

Use something different? I have read there are some cards, but you are right, that the v4 of the Apple TV doesn't have an optical port.

  • Deskto Phoenix 810-160 HP ENVY: optical audio output jack

Just bought this new desktop computer and run the output through the optical audio output jack audio in my receiver, AWESOME!  Was wondering if I could connect an optical audio divider to this Jack and divided the audio output of the computer of TWO distinct receivers?

Appreciate the work you people are doing at HP, have already ordered your suggestion on Ebay for less than $5.00 with free shipping.  I'll let you know if it works, my knowledge of electronics is not old enough to know if the signal from the optical output on my HP computer Jack is strong enough to divide and two stereo receivers to power without a signal amplification.  Thank you very much!

  • Smartphones connect blackBerry storm to car Audio input jack

My (new) Volvo has an audio input jack, I connected my storm with a standard stereo cable.  I played several songs on my way into work.  At noon, I plugged the storm back to find the storm no longer plays on the audio jack.  It's like the storm audio Jack does not recongize the connection, the songs through the speakers of the storm.  I ran a few tests.  The stereo headset supplied with Storm still works.  The cable and the plug of the car still work with other MP3 device.

Why all of a sudden it does not?

Does anyone else have this problem?

And, Yes, I jumped the battery and restarted.

Another point to add to my list, this phone is driving me crazy!

    It was my cable!

Even if the cable has worked in another device, there be a small difference between the work cable and the non-working.

How to remove this thread or mark the thread solved?

  • Inspiron 15 do not detect the headphones into the audio input jack

Yes, I checked to make sure it wasn't the atria. I used 2 different pairs, each of the works fine on my other computer.

My laptop has been recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. Since then, the audio Jack was my ear has been detected. This has not happened before.

Also, I know there are a lot of laptops with 'Inspiron 15', but I don't know exactly which one it is. If you could tell me how to find it, I'll do.

If you want to try the native audio driver, the instructions are through this link above. If you want to see if it is better to have a driver directly from Realtek:

Go to the selection of downloads Realtek page. http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/
On the page, click on 'High Definition Audio Codecs.
Check "I accept", and then click "next".
In the column named "Description" you can find the file named README. Who has the instructions for the installation or update.
In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the Readme.
Return to the column named "Description" and select your operating system (and if it is 32 bit or 64 bit) at the top of page 2 choice in the list.
In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the driver.

The current version on the Realtek site is R2.75. Don't know how that one differs from Dell.

  • headphone plug broke in audio in jack on the front of my HP Desk Top

    Hello people who understand computers,.

My headphone plug broke into the socket on the front of my HP desktop computer. Any ideas on how to get off the broken piece out?

I need immediately this computer for school. Please any ideas? I connected to the back of the speakers cpmputer, but they do not work now. They turn on, but no sound. I'm in big trouble.

    Sincerely,

    Alice1234

I just pulled it! First of all, I unplugged everything and put the desk on a table. Then, I took 2 pins to thin hair and take off the round tip painted with a pair of pliers. I did it because my pair of tweezers couldn't hold in it. I gently worked a PIN on the top and one on the bottom of the piece, which was stuck. Then I waved it forward and put the pieces back in place on that when they slipped. Finally, she waved her out! All this took about 10 minutes.
