Flys window off the screen to the right

I know that something like this was posted, but the answer doesn't seem to work for me so I'll try again.  I have a window open for example internet.  When I click the icon at the bottom of the screen, all I see is a small box of shooting off the screen to the right and when I click it back again this subject comes flying to the icon.  Nothing I've done seems to back open on the screen.  I crushed my right mouse clicked and was caught and pulled, but nothing comes back on my main screen.  I stop the program and reopened it always does the same thing, I rebooted my computer.  I looked everywhere for answers and nobody seems to be able to help me.  Maybe one of you can give me some advice.  It's a very frustrating situation.

Oh my God I kept looking for an answer and found something someone said in another post on the resolution of the screen and I understand what they were saying.  I went to my office right clicked (see that I am not a guru) and chose the resolution of the screen.  I had "to extend these screens" clicked so I clicked on "show the desktop only on 1" and it then, there was my missing icon. ""  Yaaaaay I stared with them other messages but Yadira help me.

Please make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the CD player, and then uncheck the box open tools for each Document in the Document preferences. That should do the trick!

  • 6.6 keynote opens the window off the screen

Since v6.6 Keynote opens a file off the screen on the first launch, I see the window at all.

I have two monitors, a my MacBook Pro (mid-2012) and the other is a 15 inch USB monitor AOC. BTW and may be connected, the driver for this monitor causes the transformation to fail when it is attached.

As I said, very good spear Keynote, but the file I want to work on is nowhere to be seen on my screen. When I hit CMD-CTRL-F (full screen), the presentation appears, and when I then hit ESC, I see the window right on the right edge of the laptop screen (see screenshot below), which allows me to put on the window and work on the file.

Of course, it's heavy, if I have to do it every time I run the application Keynote. I searched here in this forum, but I have not found anything that could help me. Does anyone here know of a fix for this strange behavior?

These screens are very useful, but they are well known pose a problem with photographic, presentation and installation of applications on the Mac.

If you can live with this poster failure very well, but if you want flawless performance, you need to use a display with HDMI, Thunderbolt, mini displayport or DVI of the Mac connection.

  • 10.11.4 position of the window off the screen after awakening from sleep + external display

Does anyone else have problems with windows being placed off screen when waking up their MacBook Pro from sleep mode or when using an external monitor?

I have a 15 "rMBP and regularly connect with lid closed to a Dell screen 4K P2715Q. Whenever I wake up from sleep, many of my windows are off-center and move the windows from the edge of the rightmost to the Center.

I can't say with certainty if it is specific to the application or for all windows, but Mail.app and Messages certainly do.

I will do some tests later and post updates. Thank you!

    Hello

I take this in system preferences > displays the mirror effect is on?

What resolutions are two screens to?

How to wake up the laptop from sleep?

If it is by lifting the lid is on the Mac you see it?

If it's the position carries no report available to the larger screen?  (i.e. If the laptop could match the larger screen resolution would be the 'shift' appear in the same place, as the laptop was a cut from the larger screen).

  • pop up window off the screen (InDesign CS6)

I plugged my macbook to an additional monitor and used InDesign CS6 for a few hours, including the "object layer options" which opens in a pop-up window.

One day after work again on InDesign, the pop-up window opens now off screen: the main window is inactive, but the pop up is invisible and I can no longer use the options.

Anyone know how to reset the location of windows pop up screen?

Thanks in advance for any helpful answer!

Try resetting the workspace and trashing the prefs (may not work, but it's worth it). See replace your preferences

  • I can't open a tab or a new window to the right of an existing tab. I followed the instructions to update via the FAQ but still does not. Help!

I can't open a tab right of an existing tab. I followed the instructions provided under the normal FAQ. This feature has been recently removed from my PC, and I am not sure how.

The Ask toolbar is originally only in versions of Firefox 3.6.13 +. Uninstall this extension.

There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:

  • Keynote opens the window to the right size

Keynote 6.6.1.   When I open an existing file, or create a new blank presentation, the window is the wrong size (generally, about 300 x 100 pixels in size, located at the bottom left of my main screen).

    The console log shows this:

09/02/16 8:29:24.732 AM Keynote [1170]: without at the same time meet the constraints:

    (

    «= 126)] > »,

    "<=-226)]>"

    )

Will try to recover by the breaking stress

    <=-226)]>

The NSUserDefault NSConstraintBasedLayoutVisualizeMutuallyExclusiveConstraints set to YES for-[NSWindow visualizeConstraints:] automatically called when this happens.  And/or break on objc_exception_throw to make up for it in the debugger.

It started when I updated from 10.10 to 10.11.

    More information:

    • If I only use one monitor (built-in monitor of the work of the retina) the problem occurs
    • If I run two monitors (built-in monitor + monitor thunderbolt external apple) but I'm set to mirror mode, the problem does not occur
    • If I run two monitors (built-in monitor + monitor thunderbolt external apple) but I'm not mirrored, then the problem DOES not occur.

If this seems to be a bug with Keynote or 10.11 himself.

Note: In system preferences / Mission Control / I "Screens have a separate space" decommissioned.

  • List of open and active/Windows Forms displayed within Windows XP 7 v/s windows on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the status bar

    Salvation OR,.

We found that the list of forms/open windows displayed in Windows XP (on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the windows taskbar) seems to indicate all open and active windows/forms in the application.

We would like to know how to enable the same functionality in a Windows 7 environment. The best we can do now is to double click on the name of the application on the windows taskbar to switch between active windows/Forms in the application. We would like a menu similar to the windows XP appearance about running on Windows 7 when it comes to this particular feature.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Ashish

The taskbard has changed significantly in Windows Vista and 7. You can get a similar functionality to what you call by customizing the taskbar in the taskbar properties. In addition, now press SHIFT key while right-clicking to display a menu similar to what you show in your screenshot, except that it does not display the name of the element. In Windows 7, the feature make you is typically done by hovering over the icon in the bar tasks and selecting one of the points of view which appears above the element.

You can use the Windows shellapi to do a limited customization of the task bar, but this API is very difficult to use and I would not recommend this approach.

CVI provides a method to change the name of the item in the taskbar (see this KB), but it does not add the name after the restoration in the context menu.

  • users of the window having the right to kill a process window

Hi, I would like to know which user has the previlage to kill a process in an emergency.

namely, the administrators, backup operators, power users.

Not all users have the right to schedule a task, and hoping in a similar way, not all users have the right to kill a process.

    Please help providing the information.

The following article was written for Windows 2000, but applies particularly to XP as well.  It depends on if you kill the Task Manager task (administrative privilege required unless you own the process) or with the command "Kill" of the resource kit or using PsKill from Microsoft who claims to only require that the user have the privilege of "Debug".

"Cannot complete the Service process with the Task Manager.

  • 32-bit Windows 7 the right collection of icons is a small auxiliary bar. 64-bit does not work. This can be added?

My (an upgrade from Vista) 32 bit Windows 7 desktop has icons on the right end of the taskbar - with the exception of the clock - grouped in a square collection pop up. My new (to work) 64 bit Win 7, only the OS installed on this desktop computer, does not have. Is it possible to do it on the newer computer?

The icons you have visible vary often they have or do not have something to tell you.  You can customize it according to your preferences.  Your new PC everything has been implemented differently, and it is easy to change.

Right click on the Start button, select Properties, click the task bar .  In the Notification area section, click the Customize... button.

First, look at the bottom of the dialog box.  There is a checkbox next to always show all icons...  It must be clarified that if ever you want to adjust the parameters of each icon.  I think that this box should already be disabled on your PC.

For each item in the list, you can choose to show [still], hide [always] or display only notifications * -click a drop down lists to display these choices and then select view if that's what you want.

    * If you see a small arrow on the left hand side of these icons in the system tray - the ones you have set to display only notifications .  They will appear in the system tray Notification area only when they have something to tell you.  Sounds like you had everything put to display only notifications on your previous PC.

In the develop module, I used to be able to hold down the option key while adjusting a slider, giving some additional features in the control panel section.  (To see the extent of masking in the Panel group of detail, in black and white, for example)

Now all of the panel loose and I can't drag, instead the Panel moving around th LR5 workspace. While I move unintentionally Panel, there is a blue border that appears around the Panel.  See the screenshot.  If anyone has had this problem, and if so, could you remedy this?

Thanks to the kiwi Geoff and John Wallter for assistance.  Move the preference file doesn't solve the problem, but that made me think.  I had recently installed a Mac application called Flexiglass, which is a Mac Windows Management tool.  I left that program and THAT fixed my problem.

    Thanks again!

  • Move the window off screen at the top

Title suggests, how can I do? I can move my windows off screen on the sides and at the bottom, but I can't top

    Thank you

    Hello

    Thanks for the update.

I'm really sorry to say this, but there is no option were you can resize your window (not resizable) at the top of the screen. You can move a resizable window to the right or the left by dragging the window to the left or right of your desktop.

There is another option were you can display multiple windows side by side as requires it.

    • Open all the windows and right click on the taskbar, select the option see the stacked windows or Show Windows side by side

See the link below to resize the window of windows 8, as suggested by Robert Aldwinckle
