  Alarm in the software OR-FBUS monitor doesn't have a field of diagnostics alarms. You can try to use NOR-FBUS C API nifWaitAlert2 to monitor this alarm. We will find the detailed description of the API OR FBUS Hardware and Software User Manual Chapter 6.

  The reason why you have 7 beeps for each alarm is due to the setting that you have in the lookout.ini file. This file contains the configurations of lookout. You can open this file with any text editor and change the number of beeps that you want when the alarm is generated. Go to the line with the following text and specify the number of times where you want the alarm sound.

  My opinion on this if my FMS is the server has my database SQL Server FMS is on server b, then I need to remove (i.e. move) the file of the existing database on ServerB to update my installation.

  I was looking for cartridge for the monitoring of newspapers for the FMS Version: 5.6.10 and I have not found, can anyone let me know if there is any cartridge in Foglight to monitor logs. My requirment is to check the exceptions/strings in log so that I can generate alerts on it.

• more sounds for alarm clock app (Win 8)

  I downloaded the application of awakening of the millisecond.  He mentioned you could choose the alarm sound, but the only sound I could find was "chimes".  When I click on "his choice", he said that there is no file for it.  Is there a download for other sounds?

  I tried to find a description for the "ability of the data store alarm." In the list of the alarms of the Victoria Cross, there is this: default alarm that goes off when the capacity status changes to support the data store or the volumes.

• Periods for alarms

  I've been evaluating Hyperic to monitor some systems with processes that are running at different times of the day.
  
  I have not yet found a way to program schedules that should set off these alarms, maybe that I miss in the interface and documentation.

  The closest we have is in the business, you can assign roles to be available by hour of the day and receive alerts based on those times. If the alert notification process can be designed by hour of the day in this regard.

  Also, as pointed out by Mirko, conditional multiple alerts provide a greater level of specificity for when fire alerts, but do not necessarily take the weather as a factor. The new 3.2 release also allows you stopped worldwide alerts about planned maintenance.

  We have several VMWare Machine and a Vcenter server. In VSphere Client on the Vcenter server we ATKE the e-mail with the SMTP Server Configuration and a Mailadress of the sender.

  And in the Alarmdefinitions, we put two Mailadresses, where Alarmnotification-Mails go.

  But no email is sent.

  Now. The server Vcenter (Win Sv 2008) whe have installed McAfee and McAfee was blocking Port 25 on the way out.

  What server or what *.exe sent Alarmnotification-E-Mails? We have a rule in McAfee than some exe´s don't not where blocked Port 25 on the way out.

  Any idea on how I can determine how the SQL cartidge pulls this inforamtion? Network management team, State of DBA and Windows Guy there is no problem. Are there any SQL query or perfmon I should look?

  Foglight cartridge for SQL Server generated an alarm for example on the SRWSQL1 host. POSNETPROD.COM.

  The metric is a Global Variable, SQL Server, and can be captured in the database instance by running the following command in SQL Server:

  SELECT @PACKET_ERRORS

  The returned value is cumulative since the last SQL Server restart, so Foglight performs a delta to indicate errors in packets since the previous collection.  Here's an MSDN article that explains the variable.

• How can I change the sound alarm on Apple Watch for night stand mode?  Light ping is not quite disturbing to wake me up.  Are there different sounds?

  Hi Shaji,

  As Brian wrote: there is a limit of 5000 alarms in this dashboard. That is up to 5000 alarms can be listed in the dashboard of the alarms.

  There is also a limit of 10000 alarms in Foglight.

  The number of alarms in Foglight can affect the load of dashboard of the times (like most display alarm number of dashboard).  We generally recommend to our clients to manage their alarms tighter when you have several alarms, it becomes difficult to see what is happening in your environment.

  I strongly advise you to get our Professional Services organization involved to help control the number of alarms raised.  This is usually obtained by analyzing the alarms and examining their utility (in your environment) and the thresholds used for alarms, as these tend to require development to meet your specific needs.

  Can you tell us why you have so many alarms? (I mean: what kind of alarms are you see?)  They come from the multiple laws of gravity that disengage automatically or several simple rules that do not, such as the database of the journal entries of the database alerts alarms considered that does not auto-clear?)

  The number of alarms increased recently, or were there sustained growth (not driven by an increase in the number of monitored things)?
