  Here's another interesting event. I use sleep mode all the time, that's what happens "when I close the lid. After upgrade Windows 8.1 for Windows 10 RTM, "standby mode" is not found. "when I close the lid" and related parameters in power management have an empty selection, sleep does not appear in the drop-down list of choices. It seems revenue to "Put to sleep" by default. By reading the other Windows 10 forums I know sleep is supported in Windows 10, how can I get that back? I tried to download and install the latest driver for power management (as dated 17/07/2015, I think) but I get the message that "you already have a newer version of the driver installed", I cancelled out of the facility. Are there newer drivers planned for soon? I can shoot with Microsoft Basic Display Driver (3200 x 1800 only, see my other ad in the forum), although I used a different resolution in Windows 8.1 and hibernate instead of mode 'sleep', but I hope that these features will work soon.   I have an Aspire 7551 G. Shortly after the upgrade to Windows 10 my cd/dvd drive has disappeared. If I put a cd in the drive nothing happens. The drive is not even appear on my computer more. If I open Device Manager it is listed under "Other devices" with a question mark. It appears as OPTIARC DVD RW AD - 7585H. How to bring back my cd player?

• Internal hard drive missing after upgrade to Windows 7

  Western Digital internal hard (second drive) drive is not visible after I updated from XP to Windows 7.  The missing SATA drive is visible in the BIOS, but not when Start Menu Windows 7 finishes launching.  Westerm Digital "Data Lifeguard" also does not detect the SATA drive.

  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

  Shut down the computer and unplug the SATA cable on the second disc.

  Restart Windows and go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number.

  If you have Windows 7 drivers then download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them,from the card mother/chipset drivers, SATA, LAN, Audio, etc, and so on. Then shut down the computer.

  Now reconnect the cable SATA and Windows startup, it should normally detect a drive is connected and indicate via a popup.

  Then open "Disk Management" and see if the drive is listed.

  Recently, I've upgraded to 10 64-bit Windows on my Dell Vostro laptop. After update, Bluetooth adapter has disappeared from the Device Manager. I have the old drivers for win 7, but these are not being run as the message said "this application cannot run" or things to that effect. I tried to install the Lenovo drivers as suggested, but this is not successful because he wants me to uninstall existing bluetooth drivers. For the life of me I can't find these anywhere. Any suggestions?
