Folders, files and programs from a folder called 'research', can I get back them?

I found a folder named "research." I looked at it and saw that can be found just about everything I downloaded. Movies, etc. I started to delete some and realized that I should not delete. Tried to recover - no chance. Half my office has disappeared, and lots of folders and files and programs are gone, I'm in a mess. Any suggestions, other than a.38?

I really hope that someone can help you. I'm at my wits end, thinking that I can't do anything. I need help. Is there anyone out there?

Also a 38 a clean reinstall is your best option.

Sometimes to try to solve the problems takes longer than a reinstall.

In addition, a resettlement gets rid of questions that your computer has.

You should have a factory restore the image on your hard drive.

With the factory restore, it is quick and easy.

If you don't factory nor manual reinstall consider buying Service Packs.

This page will display the SP1 of Vista, under the heading: order a DVD of Windows Vista SP1, click on your region and then select your country and will take you to a page where you can buy the SP1 and SP2

Save the link and it's also for others to read this post wishing to purchase Service Packs for Vista as long download time saved and you can use them download are a problem or you reinstall your operating system.

If you later reinstall OS and you install the drivers manually install the Service Packs right after OS reinstalled before installing any drivers. You can first install the drivers but it is better Service Packs first as sometimes when you install a Service Pack after the drivers, you can find some drivers do not work and you have to reinstall these drivers.

For people using the original image, your drivers are already installed then install Service Packs just after the factory restore before installing applications or devices or download Windows updates.

Service Packs using immediately also save hundreds of download of the updates of Windows first of all that all updates to the top until the release of Service Packs are included.

    Recovery tools:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • I have some encrypted files accidentally and cannot access it now. How can I get back them?

I've been messing around with the parameters of property on some files and I found the encryption option and clicked on it.  I couldn't say it makes all the difference (ignorance), so I did not bother to deselect it.  It was a few months ago.  My computer recently crashed and I wiped it and reinstalled the operating system.  I keep all my files on an external hard drive, so I didn't save anything.  I went to access these old files after the computer is running again and realized that I can not open them now.  What should I do to decrypt?  Thank you!

    -Tyler

Since you don't back up your encryption keys, the data is inaccessible forever. Delete and move. There is no backdoor to EFS encryption. Next time be more careful about the use of the advanced features such as encryption without having to learn first about them. I'm sorry for your loss. • Disconnected my account cloud on draw and lost all my projects... can I get back them?

I have two accounts, one free staff and an account paying for the work of the clouds. I logged on my personal account in the draw to work on a project for work, but when I I am logged into my account personal, everything had gone. All my projects have disappeared, as if I had opened the app for the first time. Is it possible to get these back? And if can't, Adobe added a warning or some kind of alert letting you know that if you log out you will lose everything? I should mention that I tried logging back to the account of my work, and everything went from there, also.

    Thank you

    EM

It is surprising to hear that you have lost all your projects. The app is designed to ban you from disconnection until all of your projects are properly saved on your CC account. If you sign up as long as someone else, all your previous projects will be deleted locally but they will still exist in the clouds. Once you sign in as a first-person, you should see all your content get synchronized down. Depending on your connection speed and the size of your projects, this synchronization may take some time to run. If you leave the application open for a little while, you see your projects begin to reappear?

Restoring to factory settings formats the disc, and which erases
everything what he. You probably get something new, but you can
try to do a search on the web for a recovery program that unformats the reader
    like here: http://www.easeus.com/resource/unformat.htm

If you unformat the drive successfully and can recover lost files
back, the first thing you should do copy on an external
(CD, DVD, USB sticks, external hard drives, etc.).
    Two other points/questions:

    1. why restore you to the factory settings? This is usually the worst
approach to solve a problem, there's a lot of extra long hard
work and often leads to problems of its own (as it did here).

    2. I assume you have no backup on external media from your
photos of important files etc. In this case. you played with
the fire. You can read this article on the backup that I wrote:

You can try to search for *.eml, but if the disk has been formatted first, they will not be there.  The files are also hidden, so make sure that you enable the display of hidden files and folders under control panel | Folder options | View.  You can also check with those who 'reloaded' of Windows to see if they have backed up your data first.
