For the Passport blackBerry LED charge indicator

I searched it on Google and other forums, but couldn't find an answer. Is there a way to light the lamp while the unit is being charged and stop it once it is charged to 100%, or change the color? The operating system version 10.3.0.908. Thank you

Hi @lahanos

Customize the experience of the LED when the load is not possible using BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.

So that this is taken into consideration for future versions of BlackBerry 10 I would recommend to submit your idea to our site your comments to http://blackberry.icanmakeitbetter.com. I hope this helps! Thank you

    I want a promo code!

For all those who find this thread, also looking for a code, have need for PM I have learned. Instead, use the code 9ih8doh29 for 10% discount on ShopBlackBerry.com.

Note carefully that this is for devices only, and only for these devices not otherwise already reduced. Thus, at the time where money passport and classic black are already reduced by 10% on the site ShopBlackBerry... you cannot combine with this code for a 10% surcharge.

In addition, this code has a limited quantity available... it can be used only 15 times and has been used at least once already. So if he should stop working, please post here and we will find another code that you can use.

  • Notification for the white Passport Passport blackBerry LED light

The Passport white led notification light or not.

Going to replace my black passport with a white.

Saw a few video unboxing of the white pass and nowhere I see notification led flashing light.

Attached the hi res pic of RIM blogs where led black Passport circle of notification may be given a centimeter far to the left of the lens of the camera.

Can't say the same about the white pass in the background.

    Can someone please clarify...

No, but I see what looks like the LED. In any case, again, I don't see why he wouldn't have it.

Or this drop test videos is just a good luck and not a mandatory future of the phone?

  • A few questions for the first blackberry development

    Hello

First of all, my apologies for this being placed in the Java section, it seemed, the nearest section of what it is, but please move if need be.

We have an application in development for the iOS platform that uses some geolocation and Web services.  We believe that we should have a version for the blackberry also platform, so we're looking in this evolution.  However, not being not to developers or users of blackberry, the different options for creating an application are quite overwhelming.  My questions are the following:

    (a) what language (Java?) is the most compatible?  Ideally, we would like to write the backend once, don't have to change the interface for devices of the curve through to the new playbook.  Java is also based on all of these devices?  None of us have any idea of Adobe Air, this is probably out of the question.

    (b) what are the operating systems are supported by what?  The curve I picked up seems to have Blackberry OS5 on it.  All operating systems support Java everything too, and whose support wifi location and cell tower map (the curve does not have a GPS unit).

    (c) I understand that during the development in Java there is a blackberry UI api, that's fine.  However, what version of Java is supported?  Is - this SE6, or we are talking about mobile Java here?

    (d) distribute the Apps.  The Blackberry App World seems to be the best route.  Do most people use?  It seems that the Blackberry is not restricted like iOS devices in how applications can be distributed.  Is there any other App stores (e.g. Amazon for Android?).  I guess it would be silly not not to enumerate the BB App World.

Thanks in advance, any help is much appreciated.

    S.

It is a really difficult game of questions.

    (a) Yes is the short answer.

The long answer involves noting that the PlayBook does not directly support Java, and development platforms only available to this end are currently Adobe Air and Web works.  I can't give you a good explanation, since I dabbled only in them, but in summary,

    (a) with Web works you are essentially creating a Web application using HTML and JavaScript, with some JavaScript interfaces to the native operating system

    (b) air seems to me be in another development environment where screens and treatment are defined in a "Scripting" language that runs on the device.

Work Web development is possible on the current BlackBerry phones as well, although I have no idea how compatible the two are - in other words how much you would have to change to a PlayBook Web app works works on the Palm and vice versa.

I suggest you ask a similar question in the forums for these two platforms and see what they say.

Anyway, there is a train of thought that phones current based Java will stop at some point, and phones will become based QNX, as PB.  So right now, if you want to learn something, then Web works.  But the works Web will be able to do what you want?  I don't know, but I don't know that Java is.

But whatever the customer, you should be able to write the backend once.  Everything should speak http towards it.

    (b) there is not a BONE by device. Most devices come out with only one level and can be upgraded, usually at the next big release.

Take a look at this good:

    http://us.BlackBerry.com/developers/choosingtargetos.jsp

OS 5.0 in theory supports the location of the cell tower.  I say in theory because I never had to work in the United Kingdom.  But I have not tried very hard.  In my view, WiFi is available in the OS 6.0.

    (c) blackBerry support J2ME, with a significant number of extensions.  Think of it as Java 1.4 without all the useful bits, but the then RIM tried to add their useful in bits.

    (d) cannot speak for others, but BB App World is all I use.  Tried another one and didn't get anywhere.  YMMV.

    I hope this helps.

  • BB of change for the smartphone blackBerry bold Verizon 9930 to another network

Can someone tell me please a link that contains information about how to change my BB Bold 9930 brand OS to another other than Verizon's CDMA network. I'm new to the BB but have COMPUTER experience and a familiar with Android. I know there are a lot of sites with information on the release and OS unbranding inds and changing. A legitimate site exists where one might find the tools and instructions that can help the owner of a BB change its device without having to rely on a team of Technical Support of network providers who charge for a service that can be done by the owner? Sarcastic or useful comments will be greatly appreciated.

Remove information staff to comply with theCommunity guidelinesand theterms and Conditions of use.

    1. it won't work on Sprint (Sprint allows on its only purchased network devices or brand for the Sprint.

    2. you can make it work on ATT and TMobile in the USA, but only at speeds of slower EDGE data. And, it is not an easy solution to operate on ATT or TMo, due to several factors, mainly including the 9930 requires books have different service from Tmobile and ATT, so it's a process of extracting the required service books and getting them on the 9930. And then it will be slow when not connected to WiFi.

Bottom line... don't even try. The 9930 is a planned feature of CDMA network. It is very good for overseas travel occasionally and using foreign networks on GSM bands, but not for permanent use in the United States on GMS network ATT or Tmobile.

    Who help me?

What network are you moving to?

  • Touch of convenience for the 8300 blackBerry Smartphones

I'm trying to understand how to implement the right key convenience on a Curve 8320 behaves like the home button located on the right side of a BlackBerry 8700 (and any other template before the arrival of the balls among us).  Get some of my people has opted for the 8300 Series trackball, but they badly want the ESC key on the side. Facility key convenience covers requests and I am told by my provider, it cannot be done.  Will there be a positive response to this?

they will have to deal with it.
Anyway, with the curve, apart from having the right hand of Hellboy, the ESC key is really easy to access when you use the trackball.

  • Security for the Passport wipe when BB 10 blackBerry is 99% complete & stuck for 4 days...

It's the waaaay too long, I know. My new passport obtained in a "wipe lockdown & security ', even if I had the correct access codes. Now the problem: can not get out of the phase of wipe... Security for more than 4 days straight now. He's stuck @99%! If I returned, potentially in terms of my personal data / information? All 100% of what existed in the past... or just the 1% that still? Help!

    Do not return immediately.

Download and install BlackBerry connection on a PC, plug it in, wait for it to connect, and then click on restore, and then click on reload software or restore the factory settings. This will most likely fix the problem because it will remove the current operating system files and load the new in.

Here is a link to download the BlackBerry link.

  • Bug hub for the Passport 10.3 Blackberry blackBerry

I'm running a passport with OS 10.3.0.675 - or if you believe BBVE then it is 10.3.0.1052.

When I opened the hub I see everything I'm supposed to see - including of many text messages from different senders - but when I open the side panel and select SMS it indicates that there is no provision show.  I get the same note when I access text messages from the icon on the cursor next to the home page.  I tried setting of "don't show that in a separate account don't" but then my text disappear entirely and for "hub only" option is grayed out.  Anyone else having this problem?  All the patches?

Okay, I guess it's Rogers pushed the update.

Given that others are not having the same problem, there must be a problem in your data somewhere.  To restore you data from an older device?

I would like to use the link to make a full backup of the device.  Then do a security wipe and do NOT restore the passage of the backup settings.  You will need to add your e-mail accounts and you won't have any old text messages.  However, you will be able to hear and see if there is a problem with the device/OS or your data.  If the problem persists then reload the operating system may be necessary.  If the problem goes away, you have found the problem.

When you restore data settings, you will lose all data in local contacts/calendar, text messages, password keeper, do not forget (you will not lose sync contacts/calendar with an email account.)  If you have important data in the password keeper go in PK parameters and export to your SD card and you will be able to import data from back in after the wipe.

It will take some time to do that, but it's the only way to know where the shoe pinches.

  • Is there a Firefox application available for the classic Blackberry 2015 model?

I have a classic Blackberry. I was wondering if it is possible to obtain a browser Firefox on a classic Blackberry app to use rather than the stock browser?

    TThanks

The BackBerry operating system is like 10 BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Tablet OS older for PlayBook is based on QNX. Once long ago, you could build Firefox for QNX, but support for QNX has long been removed from the Mozilla source tree.

There has been no development of Mozilla mobile browser for any material or BlackBerry OS.

Mozilla Firefox has for mobile desktop Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Firefox for Android 2.3 +. There is also the "BONE of Firefox" used on say that some budget phones and some new Tv's Panasonic. They have also recently started with a shell for iOS 8.2 Firefox browser +.
