Hi, I use Windows XP Home Edition.
I had difficulties to install security updates 11.
An update of the sample is displayed above. All others are updated for security and all have the same error code.
I clicked on the question mark next to the Red Cross, which shows that the update failed.
The "Installation location" dialog box appears.
I click on the link 'Assisted Microsoft Support Online'
This brings you to: a page titled "Microsoft Windows Update problems trouble."
NEXT (!)
A dialog box appears informing me that
additional software (.NET framework 2.0 or later) is required to run this troubleshooting.
He tells me to fill in 2 steps:
1. install the softwar very from the Microsoft Download Center. (FACT)
"2. next, visit http://www.microsoft.com/fixit to restart the troubleshooter.
I did the above, but THE convenience STORE NEVER RESTARTS!

For a few months now, I constantly had the small yellow shield in the right corner of my screen telling me that an update is available for installation. Whenever I tried to install it but it fails. I tried just shut down the computer and let him move on his own, but that does not work either. I know it is probably not a security threat huge or essential to do my computer function properly, but it's a nuisance for me, and I want to solve it if possible. Apparently my computer is updated on everything with this exception. My OS is Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3. Could someone please help me to install the update or remove the constant reminder to install it?

However, my computer came pre-installed with the system and the manufacturer did not provide an installation DVD, so I am unable to perform this repair.
