I installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard as a test version of an iso download got on the product site in Ms. In the meantime, I bought the software. Once the software has been delivered, I tried to activate with the key provided me with the software sent from Microsoft. I get... "the activation server determined that the specified product key is used" and throws the error asOxC004C003code. What gives here? They just sent me the key? I need to get this fixed as soon as POSSIBLE.

I know that the Server 2008 R2 is only x 64, but I need Server 2008 x 86, it's because I need the downgrade.
Does anyone know the correct procedure to do this, or some e-mail to contact someone from Microsoft that could help me?

I forgot my password for windows 7 for my laptop and a reset disk has not been created. How can I recover the password or create a new one? and I have a dell inspiron one 19 desktop... your help will be very appreciated thanks in advance!
Here are the usual methods to solve this problem:
- Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
- Logging in as a different admin account and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if create you an alternative admin account).
- Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you have activated the account administrator and know its password).
- Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have created such a keyfile).
- Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
If none of these standard precautions work for you, then the remedy will be painful. Post again if this is the case.

My Windows Server 2008 R2 does not all connect directly to the server - level of the console or via the desktop remotely. The symptom is that Active Directory is not running. I tried to connect computers MacBook with OS X (10.5) to active directory. I can log on to your desktop and see all the network shares, so all users seem to work OK - performance is slower than usual. Logging indicates the user ID or password is not valid, but they are working on the jobs or when we book in safe mode. DCDiag does not work because it cannot log in with credentials.

Windows 7 64 bit Pro connects to SQL Server on the Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard domain
I put upgraded to Windows 7 Professional computers to Windows XP Professional, but I have a problem with getting one of software programs management of stock that allows us to connect to our SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Windows on new Windows 7 computers.
Our computers are connected to a domain, and therefore SQL Server. Computers Windows XP allows each user to standard domain to connect and to connect to SQL Server via the stock management software.
But on the standard domain of Windows 7 Pro computer users unable to connect to SQL Server, but administrator accounts of area on the same Windows 7 Pro computers can connect to SQL Server through the inventory control program.
I have set up the alias of the server, the server name and port number via the SQL Server Client Network utility (
cliconfg.exe
) so I know this isn't the problem because it works when I'm logged on as a domain administrator. There seems to be something to do with permissions of user domain and Windows 7 Pro. There seems to be a change from Windows XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro that does not allow standard domain users to connect to a SQL Server. But I can't find anything about and cannot practice how to solve this problem, except to make all users, domain administrators that is obviously not a good thing to do. So basically I think I need to create a group policy that allows users to connect to SQL Server, but I have no experience in doing this and don't know where to start.
Thank you for all that you guys help and I hope someone can give me the solution to this problem.
This issue is beyond the scope of this site and must be placed on Technet or MSDN
