  11. Use an appropriate method to open a session. For example, log in using an older password, or log in using another computer account.

  After you connect, you must follow additional steps, depending on the scenario you encounter.

  You can access the BIOS of most recent generation specifications by:

  1) press the power button

  (2) immediately start typing the ESC key to call the start menu.

  (3) choose F10 in the start menu to access the BIOS.

  A word of warning. Nothing in the BIOS will help you in the forgotten Windows password.

  If your father has not taken the time to do a disk recovery or sill USB recovery media set you have two options.

  (1) purchase a set of recovery disks from HP or an HP partner. A game costs $25.00 USD. If you live in the rest or the world order here.

  The 'password jumper thing' (?) would be used to clear a BIOS password, not a Windows password. Are you talking about? If a password of BIOS (necessary when you turn on the computer), please give the model/brand/model of your computer (example: laptop Dell Inspiron 1525).

  General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

  You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

  In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do.
