Form on a Table with report - Auto number

Hello

Scenario:
I want to create 'Form on a table with report' which would allow my users add records...

Steps and questions
I have created a table with a field named "TRACKING_NO" as a type of automatic numbering in MS Access and there is a primary key... I intended to use it to link the report to the form
When I downloaded the array to Oracle, it changed the varchar2 type... can you please advice how to change back to automatic numbering...?
and it'll work if my user adds a record to the table (using APEX built in option to create a record)...?

That's what I'd do.
1. download the MS Access table, lets call it TAB_A
2. using SQL-workshop get the DDL (SQL statement) for this table.
3. change names or data types as required
4. create a new table with the DOF, lets call it TAB_O
5 copy the contents of TAB_A to TAB_O (TAB_O IN INSERT for example (id, colx, coly) SELECT TO_NUMBER (tracking_no), col1, col2 FROM TAB_A ;))
6. create a sequence that begins with the last PK + 1 table TAB_A
7 Add a trigger to TAB_O to use this sequence to fill his PK

Furthermore, work with APEX requires a good understanding of the Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, no matter what anyone says, even Oracle.

    I have a 'form on a Table' where the various fields have the "Source Type" = "column of the database. I have 2 Questions for this type of shape:

    1: in the field "Source value or expression", it is possible to change the name of the field in the Table. But I can't understand how view or even change the underlying Table (which had to be chosen at the beginning, when the form was created at the start).

    To change the table, you need to change the process of the page. A process has been generated called:

    Here, you can modify the table, but you also have to make in your shipment after processes. Who are probably named:

    If you want a form to be based on more than one table, you can create a view and base your form on this point of view instead of on the table, or you need customized treatment.

    Hi everyone, yet once landed upward with a problem.

    After trying many things to myself, finally decided to post here...

    I created a form in form builder 6i in which clicking on a button, the data gets exported to the excel sheet.

    It works very well with a single table. The problem now is that I cannot do the same with 2 tables.

    Because the tables have the same number of columns and the columns names.

    Here are the 2 tables with column names:

    Given that the tables have the same column names, I get the following error :

    402 error at line 103, column 4

    required aliases in the SELECT list of the slider to avoid duplicate column names.

    So how to export data to excel that has 2 tables with the same number of columns and the column names?

    Should I paste the code? Should I publish this query in 'SQL and PL/SQL ' Forum?

    Help me with this please.

  • Problem when adding new column on table with report form

    I have a form on table (either emp) with report(select_empno,ename,job_from_emp).i have insert, update, delete operations on the table.

    Now I added a new column DOB for alteration report emp.i sql query to show the new column altered report.i insert process (Block anonymous plsql) to insert this column too all by creating a new row.but the problem is with update.i am not able to find how to upgrade this new column while doing the update to line level.

    pls let me know if you can give some ideas on this.

    Have you added the item to the form page and associated with the database column?
    You use your own PL/SQL page process to update or do you use the 'row emp process' process produced auto?
    If it's your own please send the code with the word {noformat}

  • A better way to treat the form as a table with the variable column type?

    I wanted to make a column to return according to the status of a flag column as readonly. I have a column defined as follows in the report query.

    Decode (sys_flag, 'Y', APEX_ITEM. DISPLAY_AND_SAVE 3, TYPE_CODE, APEX_ITEM. SELECT_LIST_FROM_LOV (3, TYPE_CODE, 'LOV_TYPE_CODE_LOV')) AS TYPE_CODE

    To get the SRM process noting that column, I had to put this 'band of HTML code' to 'No', then the column attributes, I put:
    "Expression HTML" to "#TYPE_CODE #
    ' Display under "to"text display (saves the State).

    And then it took me to get new lines of work:
    "Default of Type" to "Expression of PL/SQL.
    'Default' to APEX_ITEM. SELECT_LIST_FROM_LOV (3, NVL(:P18_TYPE_CODE,'LOV_TYPE'), NULL, 'LOV_TYPE_CODE_LOV', ' NO')

    This makes large, however submit that it seems that the checksum of line used by MRU included the raw HTML generated by the APEX_ITEM package and not just the value of the column. I worked around this by including an element hidden checksum and creating a process that replaces the checksum generated automatically with my custom.

    Is there a better way to intercept this checksum, preferably before it is rendered on the page? I now hide the sum of hidden HTML control in the output HTML of another column, so it's a bit ugly. If not, is there an easier way to achieve what I'm looking for? I tried several combinations, and it seems to work better. It's just a shame there's no way to have a standard hidden column included in the SRM process.

    I tried different possibilities and seems to run the following:

    Create a report questioning in NORMAL SQL function to help:

    Do not specify something special for column definitions.

    Create a button that submits the page.

    Create a PL/SQL process that runs "On submit - after calculations" and Validations, triggered by this button and using the following code:

    APEX_ITEM.MULTI_ROW_UPDATE('#OWNER#:EMP:EMPNO,1:,|ENAME,2:SAL,3');

    Any element with the value of DEPTNO 10 has the value SAL, read-only, as otherwise it's editable. This is done by creating a hidden input field for the actual value, followed by the text version OR by creating a single entry field. This ensures that we have the correct number of SAL elements on the page.

    APEX_ITEM. MULTI_ROW_UPDATE is the "manual" version of the MRU that you would normally get with a form of table and works for above normal as sql based query reports.   • Adding images to a table with a different number of rows and columns

    I get images from PC file in labview table... I can specify the number of columns and get a picture with the size of the column, but must continue to put images in the table until the size of line is filled.  My goal is to have the pictures in the folder to be a 37-49 lines columns... Unfortunately the berries stops (see VI) until all the images are introduced in my table... How can I keep having these columns add pictures until all lines are met (and all the images are filed in the new array)?

    Yes, you can do this by using the Word change cell VI under reporting > specific word > Word tables in your diagram of function pallet blocks.  After you create a table, you can modify specific cells and send the file path of the image saved on your computer to that specific cell.  I have set up an example that I have attached here as well to help you with this.

  • Select the element on a form as a table with a different dynamic LOV on each line

    I would use a tabular form when one of the columns is a Select based dynamic LOV, and where this is dynamic LOV refers to a column on the values in each row.

    So if the tabular presentation was a list of teams and the column selection LOV was the current head of the team, I would like to than this selection list to be filled only with the members of this team (different for each line). As the list of the members of the team is in a different table (all_players or something) I won't fill the LOV with a query with a where clause clause that only selected records of players from team-membership equal to the id of the current team tabular form. Thus, on each line the content of this list would be different.

    You really do need to learn more about arrays and scalars. You use tables 1 d as the scalars and arrays in tables 1 d 2D. Transpose two operations in a row is a NOP, why do it?

    Do not have the same code in all cases a case structure. Everything is the same thing belongs outside. Only one number differs between business and it's the only thing that belongs inside picture).

    Do not bury terminals inside the loops and other structures. They belong to the toplevel chart background.

    Mel:

    I don't think you can use the form wizard to create the form for you in this case. You can create the form manually or modify the table to have a new column that will act as a substitute PK for the table. This column can be filled from a sequence and must have a Unique key limited defined against it.

  • Train with report and create processes button

    In my form, I have an element that contains a single select statement to concatenate the elements entered by the user (: P3_ECRNO) with a chain of path of file to create a full path. The report is set up so that the user can open this link in a column. Everything works except the user must visit the form twice to get the link to complete the report.

    After the rest of the elements on the page are populated, the user presses the create button and dump everything in the report.

    In the report column as we speak is implemented to hyperlink to this folder and file (that was created previously).

    The first time the user presses the creation (or apply just for test, all except the full link immersed in the report. But when the form is reopened and Apply is hit, the link gets poured into the report and the works.

    I bet it has something to do with the processing time that often seems to have a problem with.

    Create a calculation "After Submit/SQL Query" to set the value of '_P3_LINK_ '. For a calculation query, you can use the same SQL that you used for the source of the element.

  • How to pass the form on a table after a query?

    With the help of Oracle 11.2 and Apex 4.1.
    1. I use a form on a table with buttons: QUERY, INSERT, DELETE and CANCEL.
    2. after INSERT and DELETE, the shape is erased.
    3 but I would remove the form after the QUERY. Well, I want to clarify when the user wants to that he erased!

    I guess it's just me, but the extremely annoying part of the APEX is that some simple obvious things – like the form of compensation - have no obvious simple solution. I would say, there are a few obvious approaches, but none seems not to work. You would think that a 'CLEAR' button would be a standard button or CANCEL to had an option to clear the form and or clear a list of items on the page.

    Processes are not executed because the page is not submitted. The Cancel button does a redirect, not a shipment:

    By default, generated by the wizard Cancel button will be created to perform a redirect. The anticipation is that the behavior required to navigate to another page in the application without changes to session state or process.
