Format of the crop sensor / subject remotely / calibration full AOV equivalent framework

While using the crop sensor format, how can we adjust the distance of subjects to have the same field of view (AOV) in return, full frame, assuming that the current focal length in use has already been evaluated in order to take into account the standard of 35 mm film? I have the EOS Rebel SL1.

Yes. I'm sure that the camera I have is the smallest format. That's why I think I need to experiment with several lenses to see how everyone reacts. I think that the format of my camera is 2 x 3, but I'm not completely sure.  After my image size more great cameras in Ps, I chose a preset of the photo, and it converted to 2 x 3 inches. Would this mean a culture factor much more than 7.5?

Do not confuse "cropping" in Photoshop with the "culture lens/sensor factors" for your camera.

Photoshop (and many other software image) have a number of current relationships preset image for purposes of culture aspectg. Choice 2:3 in Photoshop will make the area of the whole image that is produced by your camera. Then, you can resize a number of common paper sizes... 4 x 6 inches, 6 x 9, 8 x 12 inch and 12 x 18 (or 13 x 19) inch... that all share the same images of proportions.

If you choose rather the proportions 4:5 in the truncation of software tool, some of the longest axis of the image will be deleted off the coast, but you can then resize the image to fit other common paper sizes such as 4 "x 5", 8 x 10 inch, 16 x 20 inches.

There are also a few formats of common paper who don't exactly conform to one pre-defined aspect ratios, for example 5 x 7 inch and 11 x 14 inches. These are somewhere between the two.

Your camera has a ratio of 2:3 (not 2 x 3). This has been fairly uniform among the 35mm film SLRs and was postponed to digital, too (for the large part... There are a few exceptions). The actual size of your camera sensor is approximately 15x22mm. The so-called "full frame" cameras also have a 2:3 format... is about the actual size of their 24x36mm sensor.

In other words, the same proportion (IE ' side short vs long side ") is possible in different sizes (both in the sensor format or the movie... and printing of paper sizes). Don't worry too much on this subject the reference to large format... Which seemed to have been mentioned just to demonstrate that there are all kinds of "lens factors" that you can get caught up in the calculation, but this does not really much.

Focal length does not change. 50mm is 50mm no matter what.

But a 50mm lens on a format behaves differently than it does on another format. On your camera with sensor 15x22mm is a 50mm focal length lens acts as a nice "short telephoto.  Put the same focal exact on a digital point-n-shoot which has a very small sensor and it can behave as a very powerful, long telephoto.  If not, put this same 50mm on a digital camera to 'full frame' and it will act as a 'standard' lens (that is, not wide or Telephoto). Or, put this same 50mm on a camera film of medium format, which has an image 60x70mm area and this will be a lens wide angle. Finally, put it on a film camera of large format as a 4 x 5 (... equal to approximately 100x125mm inches) and the same focal length of 50 mm behaves like an extreme wide-angle.

You say you have a kit lens... I guess it's a zoom. Probably an EF-S 18-55mm lens and an EF-S 18-135mm lens. You also have a 50mm 'first' (not a zoom) EF lens. If you set the zoom EF-S 50mm it will give exactly the same angle of view as the lens EF 50 mm Prime. The only difference is that the EF-S lens is specifically designed for smaller sensor cameras, while the EF lens is designed to give an image circle large enough to cover the area from a towards full frame camera.

Yes, it is true, because they do not need to produce as big a circle frame EF-S or "cultures only" lenses designed for use on small photo sensor can be smaller in size, lighter and less expensive than the lenses made to cover the full frame sensor image area.

If your kit lens is a 18-55mm, on your camera that provides a variable angle of view ranging from the wide-angle moderate standard to short telephoto. If it's a 18-135mm kit lens, which gives a little wider TV, a moderate telephoto.

I hope that makes sense!

    Hi brad.

    Yes. You can use the analysis tools to straighten and crop your document. Here is a link to a new tutorial. The key to activate the sliding options recovery is to choose the option of the camera Image in the drop to Enhance, and gives you tools to set the correct page for smoothing areas.

  • Tecra A8: Fingerprints - 1080 biometric sensor sensor is not calibrated

    Hello

    I recently installed the software (Protector Suite QL) on my laptop Tecra A8. It worked fine for a day! Then I get an error saying ' biometric sensor is not calibrated, please use calibration tool to rememdy it "when I try to enter some impressions more. I can't seem to find this tool and I tried to uninstall and reinstall and it doesn't work. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Hi Rainer

    Have you checked if this option is located in the Protector Suite QL application?
    Eventually it s a part of this software.

    Where did you get this program and has been this application preinstalled on the Toshiba recovery image?

  • The Canon 70 d remote flash trigger

    Which Canon speed light will work off camera and be triggered by the functionality of firing the flash in camera remotely?

    The native (built-in) flash trigger IS.  This is an optical trigger and requires line of sight to the off-camera flash.

    The 430EX II can be a 'slave' (flash remotely triggered), but may not be a master.  The 580EX II can be a master or slave.  600EX-RT can also be a master or slave (and can no optical or by radio but radio requires a radio trigger - sells Canon a dedicated radio ST-E3-RT trigger or an another 600EX-RT flash can be used as a master/trigger.)

    The built-in flash uses pulses of light (visible light) to communicate with slaves and relay instructions.  It is not infrared or radio.  But the receiver in the slave flashes is on the lower part of the body (not in the flash head upwards).  The front of the lower part of the body has a tint red Panel that resemlbes what you would see on an infrared remote - leading people to assume that it is IR it isn't visible - IR

    If the remote light does not pull when the flash on the camera goes off then lower unit may not have good lighting of the view.  Keep in mind the 430EX II 580EX II and 600EX-RT that all have a flash head that can tilt AND turn left and right.  This means that you can rotate the lower part of the body of the flash so that it points to your camera, but always turn the head so that it points toward your subject.

  • Automatically detect orientation using the crop tool

    Hello, according to my knowledge the crop tool in CS6 automatically detect whether the image was a picture of format portrait or landscape photo format. I now use the trial of CC, but in this version, I can't find this option. When I now open a portrait-format photo cropping tool remembers the last harvest-setting. If it was a portrait-ratio is not a problem, but when I cropped photo landscape format I have to manually change the orientation from landscape to portrait.

    Anyone who can help me with this? Or has this feature disappearted in CC?

    Note that in your Options Panel in the upper part, you have 3:2 (4:6). To the left of that, right click on the crop tool icon and select Reset tool as in the screenshot, I sent earlier. This will change the options of the report tool that you see in my screenshot.

    Once you have reset the cropping tool, send a new screenshot of the Options Panel.

    Hi stever25146025,

    According to the request, I understand that when you export images from Lightroom it shows only the crops, is not editing.

    It is specific to a single image or all images in the catalog?

    Could you please let me know what file format you choose to export the images and also what version of Lightroom are you using?

    Kind regards

  • New Aspect ratio of the cropped photo to understand

    I am looking for a print metal custom size of a photo I have cropped in Lightroom.  For custom formats, printing software requires that I get the height/width in inches.  How can I know this in Lightroom?

    I know that in the window of the harvest, I can select a number or enter a custom image format and it will force the culture box to this extension.  But how I do the opposite?  In other words, when I have free hands of cultures using the crop tool, do tell me that the proportions of the picture falls now in the East, even if it means decimals?

    The overlay of information (toggle 'I') can be set up to show you the post-harvest pixel dimensions. The same information can be made in the metadata Panel in the library module. If you know pixels and pixels per inch (DPI), during which it will be printed, the size in inches is easy math. If you really want the proportions (which is long side divided by short side), do you do the division. 3155 x 3786 pixel image has a ratio of 1: 1.2 or 5, 6 and 300PPI would one inch 10.517 x 12.62 impression.

  • Formatting of the address in a single fields

    With the help of Acrobat X PRO:

    I have a document of several page, where a user is invited to address in two different formats:

    (1) with the address divided into 4 different values/fields:

    Street field, City field, field, the State Zip field

    Example: "1234 County Rd" (Next Line) "St Louis", "MO" "55555".

    2) with all together address:

    Full address on a single line to a maximum of 40 characters.

    Example: 1234 County Rd., St. Louis, MO 55555

    ---

    I would like users to be able to fill the Street, City, State and Zip, and no matter what the format of the following fields are autopopulated of data.

    This isn't a problem for example #1.  However, with #2 if I place all the fields close together, I have to guess on how remote for each field of space and have always adapt and be correctly formatted.

    Is it possible to combine the values in the 4 fields into a single value (separated by commas)?

    Make the 'auto adjustment' address field may be necessary, but it is ugly, if there is more space in the remaining fields.

    PLEASE SEE THIS document of the EXAMPLE I created for the purpose of this post

    Yes, it is all set up for it. You can add the following function to a JavaScript script at the level of the document:

    Include in a JavaScript script at the level of the document

    function concatAddress() {}

    Get field values and place it in the table

    var aa = [];

    Street of var = getField("Street").valueAsString;

    If aa.push (street) (Street);

    var city = getField("City").valueAsString;

    If aa.push (City) (City);

    var State = getField("State").valueAsString;

    If aa.push (State) (State);

    Code postal var = getField("Zip_Code").valueAsString;

    If aa.push (postal code) (postal code);

    Concatenate and set the value of this field

    Event.Value = aa.join (",");

    }

    And call it from the event calculate any field you want to fill with full address:

    Custom calculate script

    concatAddress();

    The full address fields do not need to be named the same, but they will have to call the same function in their calculation of the events. You can change the name of the function if you wish.

  • The crop tool in any way control the ratio?

    Hi, is it possible to control the rate of the crop tool in CS5 so by dragging a corner to enlarge or reduce the harvest in a fixed ratio as for example the 16:9 format. Otherwise you will be continually adjusting when you make bigger or smaller.

    The crop tool would work for me, if you could do it keep the current resolution and not resample the image

    If you do not set a resolution in culture options tool, the tool does just cropping it.

    It resamples only if you define a specific resolution.

  • Change the Date Format for the previously imported items

    Hi, I'm a newbie to Lightroom with 3.3 being my first experience.  I looked in quite a few threads looking for my question, so I apologize in advance if this has been discussed before.

    I have recently imported/moved 45 GB of pictures in my library and changed the Format of the Date in the way that I thought that I would - I was wrong.  I imported using this format:

    2011-02-02

    So, I have hundreds of folders listed as:

    2011 02-02 148 (pics)

    2011-02-03 2 (pics)

    2011-02-15 15 (pics)

    2011-03-01 1 (pic)

    2011-03-02 30 (pics)

    etc...

    I would like to look like her to have folders roots with the years, months and days then.  I guess I need to format:

    2011/2011-02-02

    Say that it's the right format I expected to have imported with, is there a way to change this without having to delete the catalog and import it back all my photos?

    Thanks for your time

    If you want the same files under a folder parent 2011 instead of all at the same level?  You can add the 2011 folder and then drag and drop in the files LR Panel to pull those records in there.

    If you want years then month then the days you want the one with all the slashes - 03/02/2011

    That said, it's not like you're shooting a lot, then I'd go to this subject a little differently if you have piles of records to settle.  I have a folder of 2011 and simple month folders in this (01, 02, something like that) and then I would use metadata filters to find all the photos of January and drag the photos themselves in January record and repeat for the other 11 months.  Once you have done this, you can remove empty folders of day.  For small numbers, I wouldn't worry about breaking it down into a folder per day, so in the import dialog box in the future I would just select 2011/02.  You like.

    If you have changed pictures in LR yet, it would be quicker to start a new catalog and re-import and leave the LR to move them into your chosen folder structure.

  • Submit the completed form in pdf format, excluding the previous pdf pages.

    I created a pdf workbook that includes 5 pages and a form created in Acrobat (not Livecycle).  I've created a submit button that sends the completed form (page 5) in pdf format to me. The problem which I am facing is that the entire PDF document is sent back. How can I isolate the form on the previous pages in pdf. I use Acrobat Pro vrs 9 on a windows XP computer.  Or I go about it wrong from the start.

    Change the presentation to be only the data and not the form. Select the FDF, XFDF or XML. For your request, I'd use FDF. If this form is for others to e-mail to you, then know that the argument of the mail is subject to problems that you can't prevent (all associated with the configuration of the client computer). Submission to a web script is ALWAYS preferable. In addition, you can save the also backward compatible to be sure people with earlier versions of Acrobat or Reader have no problems with it. Backward compatibility can be obtained with the Document > reduce the size of the file or with the PDF Optimization. If you used a few new features, they will be lost (but of course, those are the features that would have caused any problems).

    Once you have the FDF file, you can simply import it into the form (in some cases, just by clicking on the FDF will open in the form if you don't move the shape on your system.) You can then export the data to other formats (see the manual for more information, or just play with it).

  • format of the clock after upgrading to IOS 10

    After the upgrade to IOS 10.0.2on my iphone 6 s the clock passed using two points using a format point.

    Language and region are still like before upgrade: Norway.

    I tried to change in various other regions which, to my knowledge, uses the same format of the clock, but there is still a point. Is there another way to change this?

    Hi, ferdinanden!

    Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post, I understand that your clock is not displayed as expected in the iOS 10. Rather than see a colon, showing time as 07:32, you see just one point, displaying the time as 7.32. I would be happy to offer help!

    There could be a few different things going on to cause this, and change your region has been a great first step to understand that and fixing it. Given that this did not help, try the following steps. Before you start, use this article to create a backup of your iPhone: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

    1. Replace it with another under settings > general > language and region. See if that allows you to adjust the way in which the clock is displayed. If so, revert to the language of your choice and see if she spends exactly the point again.
    2. Make sure that the value is automatically enabled under settings > general Date & time
    3. Restart your iPhone by following the steps here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
    4. Reset your iPhone settings in settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will not delete your personal data (such as your photos/videos, contacts, calendar of events, etc.) but it can reset it customizable settings (as the wallpaper / brightness, alert sounds/ringtones, the Date and time settings, etc.) to their default values. It will also remove saved passwords and Wi - Fi networks and all previously used settings APN or VPN.

  • USB formatted on the windows computer and then loaded with the IOS El Capitan files does not work on the Windows computer

    I tried to format a usb drive on my iMac home for use on a Windows computer. I tried to format it on the iMac with El Capitan and format on the Windows computer, but with the same question.  The files are corrupted and do not function correctly on the Windows computer at work.  The files are a combination of audio files and writing.  Is there a way to overcome this problem.  When I used earlier versions of IOS are not usability issues.

    iOS is for iPhones and iPads, but you also state El Capitan, so I guess that's what you're talking about.

    There are a lot of audio formats, many writing programs, so it is quite difficult to determine if this is a problem of format of file or a problem of disc format.

    Even if it's an mp3 player, wmv or any other file extension, there are more for the 'format' of an audio file of the extension.

    These designations are just wrappers that contain audio information. Audio information can be encoded in a variety of different formats and still be an mp3 or wmv. An mp3 player that plays on Windows cannot play on a Mac due to using a codec that is not installed on the Mac. Apple recently purged the operating system of older, obsolete codecs. As a general rule, VideoLan VLC can play most audio and video files on Mac and Windows.

    Were what type of writing files? Word, Pages, TextEdit,...?

  • Format of the region of the art disappeared in the iOS 10

    There used to be a setting under general-> language & region-> region Formats: Advanced where I could put according to the language in which a date, time and number of currency should be displayed. This setting has disappeared and will allow me more English as a language main iOS have yet show dates, numbers, time, and local currency according to my French Canadian criteria (i.e. international standards).

    For example, I get:

    Tuesday, September 13, 2016 instead of Tuesday, September 13, 2016

    $1 instead of $ 1 234,56 234,56

    4,567.89 instead of 4 567,89

    I was able to get both is 24 hour format under the Date & time pane, but since the update to iOS 10, we can define more formats on one language other than the iPhone's main language as the latest versions of authorized iOS. Why!

    No doubt Apple forget it or have chosen to abandon it. Really a terrible decision as I had used for years to have my tongue of device in English language, region in Dutch und under advanced as language also Dutch. If Ha d had the days of week and months in Dutch.
