  If you have your WordPerfect 8 disc, you can try to install in compatibility mode:

  Its possible that this may not work because I believe that this version of WordPerfect used a 16-bit installation program.

  If this does not work, the best option is upgraded to a modern version of WordPerfect Office which is at version 17 I think.

  I had very little luck myself trying to get older programs to run under XP. However, you can try compatibility mode described here: http://filext.com/faq/run_old_program_xp.php

  In this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292533 Microsoft compatibility mode of claims will solve the most common problems and also gives steps for this method.

  My daughter has trouble to download its pdf files of the College.  They come out in jibberish. I spoke with the tech IT to his school and it helped me to update my adobe reader software, but it still did not help. He said that I probably need an update to microsoft word. My computer will display currently dates of my microsoft word 98-2002. The tech said IT most of the professors send their files in doc.x (whatever it is).  I noticed that you have free updates for word 2010 microsoff on your wessite.  This fix my problem and show the PDFs in English?   The Docx the Tech mentioned is the extension of the files Microsoft Office Word 2010 document. They may have been mentioning this to let you know that your daughter may need Office 2010 to view these files sent by the teacher.

  With the help of Win 7 Home Prem SP1 64-bit.

  Suddenly, Windows Media Center Download the latest TV programming guide.  It worked fine, then all of a sudden it stopped.  WMC wonder if I want to download the latest Guide Listing.  I click on the download option, then he said: 'Guide lists have been downloaded successfully. Yet, when I go into my program Guide for all the different TV channels (everywhere in the air, no cable or satellite) it says "No data available" in other words not it offers for download, guide, said that he never actually makes the fact.

  I don't know how or why this happened. I tried to download the application manually Guide by going to tasks-> settings-> TV etc and it does the same thing. It says "Guide Listings were downloaded successfully" but nothing.

  How to fix?

  PS my TV tuner and everything works fine. My internet connection is perfect. Am really confused.

  Re-run the installation of the TV, try a different zip code and then switch back to your own if this does not work
