freezing of .mts files choppy playback and consistent

I recently bought the Sony NX3 to add to my arsenal. Unfortunately, when I import the first .mts files starts compliant video files and it takes some time. Not only that, but when I click on a file which is supposed to be consistent, the video plays back jerky and then freezes. The audio will continue to play but video just hangs. I edited before with NP .mts files even though they were HDV Files not 1920 x 1080 24 p. Mounting on a HP600 with Xeon E5520.  What are my options? I'd hate to have to transcode the files whenever I use the camera. Does anyone else have this problem?

Bingo... it's this USB connection. Guaranteed that will b e ch o pp see.

On the Page of the Tweaker (found on the forum hardware assets), they have a chart flow supported various internal and external connections by car & types. USB3 is much better than USB2 say... but still not fast enough for sustained Read/write speeds to be used for playback. Basically, for external, eSATA disks II or III or Thunderbolt are the only ones who can really carry the load.

Oh, yes--but you might not like it.

If it happens to a sample rate it is quite possible that the operating system (not hearing) is resampling, and it takes awhile to turn on. You probably need to do is set the native speed for your audio device on the same as the file that you are playing at the hearing. And if you need to change that at some point, you need to change the default values of the audio device again more... which is a pain.

The absolute best solution for this is to use an external audio device, which can bypass it completely.

  • Choppy playback video then freezes, sounds good

I've seen similar problems already posted, but I have not seen a question like this, so I apologize if this has already been address and I just not found in the forum yet, or if it in fact as other similar questions, I saw.

To start, here are the specs of my machine:
    Windows 7 Professional
Processor: Quad 2.67 Ghz Intel Core i5 750
    Memory: 8 GB
    64-bit operating system

I just upgraded to CS5 and I have some problems with reading. I am video capture from a Canon HV40 and 1080i video. Once I have the video in first, if I play the video in the source monitor, that he will play for about 2 seconds then the video will get choppy or stop altogether, and that the audio reproduces very well.

So if I drag the video to the timeline the same thing is happening in the program monitor. Now the strange thing is that if I add a text that should be rendered on top of the video and render text, video images under the text reproduces very well. And if I add text and make out, the video under which will be rough and freeze like the regular video.

So in the attached screen shot portion of which has rendered green text times without the video is choppy and audio is fine too. Everything in the timeline for the video plays for about 2 seconds and then gets agitated and freeze while the audio continues to play without any problems.

Since I just moved here from CS3 to CS5 is a settings I'm missing or something ridiculously basic like that, that I don't know? It's as if I need to make the video because it allows playback and I don't know if it's even possible.

    premiere.jpg

In fact, the HV40 is a HDV camera, and even with the i7 - 750 humble it should handle this without choppyness.

Two things come to mind, installation disk (less than 3 disks SATA 7200 RPM) or insufficient/inefficient system setting. Pretty easy to verify. Launch process Explorer and if the number of processes is more than 50 including PR, peatlands of system under all the background processes. Ideally 40 or less.

Look here: Adobe Forums: installation and adjustment of a Vista... Guide which also applies to Win7.

  • Playback jerky with MTS files

I am recording video with a Canon HG10 camcorder, which exports MTS files. Although when I import them into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and try to edit the video is extremely chop. Not editable. I don't know if it's my physical features or something I can improve with the software. Any help?

You see a red line above the timeline?  If so, your source material does not match the sequence settings that you selected, and playback will suffer.

If you have selected the right preset, or have the value manually the correct settings for a sequence, there is something more that you can do which will improve the reading.

Most of my gear to my Canon HD camcorder is 1080 p, taken in "30 p" framerate.  I select a preset 1080 p is for 30 p framerate, and the source shows no red or yellow line above the timeline.  BUT it's still a little rough-looking at when played.  I found that this can be improved by right-clicking on the source clips in the project pane and 'Interpret Footage' as progressive (not in order of field).  You can do this either before laying elements in sequence or after - it affects them in the timeline panel after the placement, too.

(This bit interpretation seems to be useful because many Canon cameras actually record their records 24 p and 30 p in a 60i Foundation and manipulate data to provide the progressive output.  You will see the evidence if you put these images (even if it's 30 p) in a 60i timeline, first willing to (sort of) and does no need for rendering of red or yellow line.  If you capture in 30 p all the time, you don't need to worry about this if you just interpret the film as above and regal is 30 p.)

Advice of prejudice is true in general for AVCHD material, but it must be qualified to be of value, on the other, as in this case, does not thoughtfully address the potential of your system.  If the advice such as are not qualified with care, you can waste a lot of money on a warmer when machine you may in particular not be no need for one.

I have edited many high-speed AVCHD projects relatively short with a frequency of 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo - it all depends on your needs.  If you don't care about video in a perfectly smooth playback calendar and your editing features work very well and you add effects to your sequence or are not required to render the effects and transitions in your equipment if you use them, your system may be fine for you.  You may be fine with going to bed, while your project is encoded with the Media Encoder (or waiting in the next day!).  I was okay with that sometimes - I just had to move from the idea that he had always made.  I have not need the faithful reading of chronologies effect in charge most of the time, because I knew their content and saw the effects well enough without rendering.

You will find your limit, but it's so so good to know that you can work with your system in a reasonable manner if you understand what is happening and accept the limitations with intelligent compromise.  Even if you get a more robust system, you will be able to benefit from such considerations anyway.

  • Windows Media Player will not play error of MTS files that your computer works at low memory. Quit other programs, and then try again

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, home premium on a Dell Studio 1558 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4500-5100 graphics card and an Intel Core i3. It has 4 GB of RAM.

When I try to read files MTS using Windows Media Player I get the error message "your computer is low on memory. Quit other programs, and then try again,"even with no other programs running. Windows Media Player will play other types of video files without difficulty.

Any suggestions as to what can be the cause of the problem and how to fix?

    TBH I'm not sure.

All I can say is on my desk, I have not loaded a pack of codecs only support of any kind and WMP12 plays my MTS files very well. Supported by this statement in Windows Media Player 12 is also capable of playing AVCHD formats (. ) M2ts et . MTS ). [13]" from - http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Media_Player and the fact that in WMP12 - "Media files (all types)" MTS has listed as an acceptable format.

My office has an AMD/ATI HD5670, and like I said seems to play.

    1. Have you tried to run a full anti-recent virus scan? If this isn't the case, update your antivirus program and run a scan full to see if it finds problems.
    2. Then try a sfc/scannow scan to see if it detects and fixes something.
    3. Just checked, you have installed WMP12? (it should be, but just a double check).

This type of problem (or similar) has developed before items such as http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-pictures/Windows-Media-Player-and-low-memory-issues/bb4bf226-8bd0-41A5-9eed-9be08e6d3bdb and  http://www.TomsHardware.co.UK/answers/ID-1699934/computer-running-low-memory-Windows-Media-Player.html and some people said re-register the DLL of WMP files helped. Personally, I've never needed to test or try this kind cannot confirm.

  • Windows 7 x 64 freezes while trying to open the Explorer folders that contain large. TIFF photo file (1 GB and more). Have you seen this reported on other forums - do you know about this bug?

    Hello

I spotted this problem when I installed a copy of Windows 7 Pro on my Dell Desktop PC friends last month. It's a Dell Dimension 9200, which was purchased at the end of 2006 with Windows XP (Intel Core 2 duo, 2 GB of RAM). I have recommended upgrade for my friend who wanted to use Photoshop CS4 to edit VERY LARGE tiff files he had initially created on a Mac Book Pro. When I say too large files, I mean BIG - there are about 3 files in a folder, and each of them 2.5 to 3 GB. In any case, Photoshop CS4 comes in x 64 taste so I thought that the upgrade to Windows 7 for him allow to use more RAM for files 'heavy' (he bought an extra 2 GB RAM = 4 GB of RAM in total).  I did a clean install (as you have a XP upgrade) and the computer is running as smooth as butter (as is expected of this brilliant OS!)
However, a particular file which contained the above mentioned large .tiff files kept freezing the computer after we re-established its place in the library of documents, as well as all his other records. All that would be is to open the folder in Explorer and after a few seconds of work properly the computer would hang and we would be forced to HARD REBOOT via the power button. This happens systematically, even miniature previews are off in a systemic way in the menu "folder and search options. The association of default programs on this computer is Windows Live Photo Gallery.  Curiously, these files have worked without problems when the computer was originally installed XP about it.  It made me scratch my head and study this new.
Hunt through forum highlighted in Bing, I quickly found that others have also encountered this problem too with no guaranteed solution and oddly enough they all happen to be running Windows 7 x 64. People have reported that when they had previous versions of Windows, their large .tiff caused no instability, whether you use XP, Vista x 86 or Vista x 64.  So, I decided to experiment, to discover and to ensure that it was in fact a problem on Windows 7 and not a problem isolated to this Dell computer. Here are my findings:
    • As mentioned, the Dell machine is a little more than 3 years but I ran a Windows 7 compatibility check and each component has been green light - even for 64-bit! So don't get me wrong, there is NO incompatibility occurring with a driver of Dell, or component or blah blah blah with copy of 64-bit Windows 7
! It works PERFECTLY (with the exception of this one particular bug that is: P)
    Data sheet:
Processor Intel core 2 duo 2.0 ghz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, 256 MB Nvidia graphics card, Windows 7 Professional x 64.
    Result:
The computer hangs when opening folder in Windows Explorer and CPU Meter gadget shows that RAM has peaked at 100% with a very low CPU activity.
    • The next machine, I tested was a newly built custom PC running on Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 with a much higher spec and day of this years PCs.
    Data sheet:
    Intel Core i7 2.8 ghz, 6 GB DDR3 RAM, 512 MB ATI, Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 graphics card.
    Result:
The computer hangs when opening folder in Windows Explorer and CPU Meter gadget shows that RAM has peaked at 100% with a very low CPU activity.
    • Third machine, I tested is a new HP Pavilion laptop that I bought an almost as powerful as the second mentioned above, tested PC spec this time under Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 2 weeks ago running.
    Data sheet:
Intel Core i7 clocked at 1.6 ghz, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 1 GB Nvidia graphics card, Windows 7 Home Premium x 64.
    Result:
The computer hangs when opening folder in Windows Explorer and CPU Meter gadget shows that RAM has peaked at 100% with a very low CPU activity.
    • The last tested computer initially once the bug has emerged on the Dell has my custom of origin - the oldest computer office which took place in fact, XP and Windows 7 RC x 86 (before the expiration of the license this week of classes
!) This is where it gets interesting...
    Data sheet:
Intel Pentium 4 2.53 ghz, 1.5 GB of RAM DDR1, graphics 128 MB Matrox Parhelia, Partition 1 (core): Windows 7 RC x 86
    Partition 2: Windows XP sp3
    Results:
Windows 7 RC x 86: a little shakey and enough computer performance slow to create previews, but IS NOT to crash and file reacts normally. CPU Meter gadget displays RAM culminates at 85-90% usage then decreases after preview in Explorer. Takes a little while for files to open in Windows Live Photo Gallery (obviously) but they DO OPEN successfully.
XP: No problem - file reacts normally.  Files opened successfully in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Well open files in Photoshop.
Among the four machines tested, we were running a 32-bit/OS cpu and it was the machine that worked as expected.  All them other machines that have been tested AS a FAILED EVENTUALLY WHEREAS, but no matter how new or powerful they may be, could not avoid this problem of hanging with maximum 100% RAM, as observed on the CPU Meter gadget.
I noticed that this forum has had this problem reported with an available workaround that seems to have helped some people. Here is the link: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7files/thread/a473c4ca-3fe2-4b6d-847f-6287e4d24e81 was not a difference on every machine I've tested.
Other forums have reported this problem too. Here is another link I found: http://www.sevenforums.com/performance-maintenance/55003-large-tif-picture-files-slow-computer-tremendously.html
I found a fix for a bug in the library that was causing the slowness. Link here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/930097
However, I don't think it is exactly linked to preview problems TIFF occurring in Windows Explorer.
First of all, the guys are aware of this problem with Windows 7?
Second, work on a hot - fix that is soon available for download on Windows Update?
Thirdly, is there an ETA for how soon a possible fix can and will be issued?

Creative suite Adobe CS 5.5 is a former software and the operating system you are using is the most recent, so there may be compatibility issues that adobe has not tested these applications on newer operating systems.

  • First Pro CC and the lack of audio tracks for .mts files

    Hello guys,.

I used to edit my files .mts with first Pro CC with no problems until yesterday.

Now I import my file .mts (made with a Sony VG900), but the first does not recognize the audio tracks (which I hear fine with VLC).

I tried changing the extension in .m2ts, but he did not, I also tried to reinstall the first but, even once, it didn't work and I tried (I was desperate) to install the CS6 first just to check if the problem is maybe about the CC version. Guess what? It did not work...

I tried also to convert the file with the encoder in .mp4, but after the conversion, I can't hear the sound with VLC and, of course, this does not work on the first.

Don't you think it's a first question or a problem of file?

I used these same files for other videos (as a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1X5vsZ-5yI) and I had no problem. Then I updated the first, I moved the files in the other folder, and the problem came to life.

    Any idea?

(I'm waiting for my colleague to send me a new mts file just to check if I accidentally damaged the 'old').
