  Update my drivers worked, but last night there was a windows update and now Skype loading makes my pc freeze again.

  Have updated the video drivers, all others are as current as they can get as far as I can tell.

  My apologies if there is something simple that I forget somewhere, but tried the few steps I know not for you to try.

  Update: got it working again, here's how.

  1: re-installed drivers from the chipset of the old file to download, I got.

  2: re-installed Skype with an OLD install file, I had.

  3: Skype UNINTALL

  4: Reinstall Skype from the old file again.

  He is currently working.

  Try to uninstall the currently installed version and install the 6.9.0.106 version using this msi installer:

  After installing this version, be sure to turn off the automatic updates:

  Tools-> Options-> Advanced-> automatic updates-> turn off automatic updates

• Video call freezes and falls on Skype 4.3.0.7 Linux

  I'm very happy to have an update to version 4.3.0.7. However, unfortunately, the video is freezing in each call and then the call is stalled.

  Symptoms:

  -Video freezes in Skype call.

  -L' call falls at about 10 seconds later.

  -Reproductible 100%

  System information:

  Distribution: ubuntu LTS 14.04

  OS type: 64-bit

  Graphics card: Gallium 0.4 on NV92

  Version of Skype: 4.3.0.7

  Change before that happens the symptom:

  -Uninstalled Skype version 4.2 (complete uninstall including parameters)

  -Installed Skype version 4.3 (in opening package multiarch in ubuntu Software Center)

  I could not find this problem already posted. I'm alone on this? If I can help by providing more information? Any help would be appreciated?

  I solved the problem by removing the account (. / Skype).

  And install the latest version 4.3.

  Happy now with the version 4.3.0.37 (instead of 4.3.0.7).

  Everything now works welll.

• Logitech C920 crashing during video call Skype V7.1

  In Skype version 7.1 under Windows 7 64 - bit, when I'm in a Skype call with more than one other person that my webcam freezes and Skype will stop using it for video. I see a single frozen image of the webcam on my dissertation, but others in the call only see my avatar and aren't able to hear my voice.

  I'm starting to get very irritated with Skype, and my friends and I are all poised to this pit for another communication program. I'm doing a last resort in order to resolve this question before giving up completely.

  Everytime I open my computer Skype everything freezes instantly, and I have to turn off manually.

  I follow on each single patch that I can find on this forum and none of them helped. I reinstalled Skype 7 times in total and have reinstalled my drivers realtek audio 3 times in total. I tried several headphones and speaker systems and nothing will solve my problem. If I'm going to my audio devices / check and disable all forms of audio and microphone Skype starts perfectly and excellent work, but once I activate audio Realtek, my computer crashes instantly.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm beyond frustrated with this program right now.

  (I don't consider decommissioning a solution at all so please do not suggest it)

• Skype video freezes after 30 seconds...

  I use acer e1-e572g, windows 7 x 64, my camera works fine, drivers are updated, connection speed is optimal, but every time I start a video call my video freezes to the other person, so that my living room from the camera that works normally. I tried many things and I'm out of ideas.

  Hello. I'm having a weird problem here.

  I use Skype frequently as my primary e-mail service.

  When I do something else and switch to Skype, it hangs (not responding) for like 30 seconds. I don't know why.

  Same thing happens when you switch between cats. Especially when I turn to a discussion group that has a lot of messages.

  Sometimes it freezes that lasts you need to kill the process and restart Skype manually.

  I don't know why this problem exists and I don't know what to do about it.

  Can you try, demotion to the previuous version 6.21 and post if you still exhibiths these questions?

  You don't have any physical webcam connected to your computer. Virtual Dxtory and XSplitBroadcaster Video Capture applications are likely to conflict with recent versions of Skype. Try disabling these applications.

  Alternative is to disable the video input in Skype by editing the shared.xml file:

  I was in a video call with a family member in the Canada. I call them of the Ireland.

  After you install a new operating system, you must also install the appropriate drivers for it. The drivers are the responsibility of device/chipset manufacturers, not Microsoft (since it would be impossible to maintain) and is to be manually updated regularly by the end user, to ensure the best performance and stabillity. (This also applies even if your system comes with Windows 10).

  Pilots may not be the case, however, in 98% of all freezing breaks down and 'Skype does not work' etc. involving 10 Windows, it's the cuplprit. Yes, Microsoft should have done a better job informing "instead of value" that they need to update their drivers (from the manufacturer, not from Windows Update), but this must be in the same "realm of knowledge" that what type of fuel your car runs on.

  (General rant, unrelated to the OP).

  (Drivers that need to be updated: video, audio, chipset (Intel or AMD and it is really important), LAN/WIFI and other things you can have connected to your computer, such as comtrollers/mouse/webcams etc.).

  I'm really happy with my 535 Lumia from Microsoft. Great phone, great price.

  Skype however (which is the preferred application) really bad though behaves.

  It freezes and stutters all the time.

  For example, to open the application, it takes very long. To see my recent contacts takes another 30 seconds or more. To type a message to a contact takes another 30 seconds and while typing, it freezes and stutters once again.

  Performance sucks, basically.

  We soon expect an update? This is a really bad situation, where Skype on other platforms of works like a charm, but Ms mobile platform, just sucks...

  Is successfully updated your windows installation (SP1, IE11 and all patches from windows update installed)?

  What version of Skype if you are to (rightclick the shortcut and the version appears after the target)?

  If Skype is to start auto-start in safe mode to avoid this (F8 during startup). Alternatively, you can run msconfig (Windows key + r > msconfig > startup > uncheck Skype) to avoid having Skype autostart in normal startup.

  I usually fix typing on Google but I can't find a way to get rid of this problem to Skype.

  I am running Windows 7 64-bit, with Skype. 6.16.

  I have two webcams, one built into my laptop and the external one, Logitech C270.

  Both worked perfectly until tonight. And I do not remember doing something special.

  So after 1 min, I see the light next to my camera flashes, then video freeze for other people with the fact that I am in contact. I still see myself to move. When I go to video option. I see myself on camera.

  First step: during the call, I try to stop the video, but I can't restart, the button remains grey. If the callee to see my avatar. My webcam light stay on.
