Frequencies WiFi

Hi all

can someone tell me if my old 14 months U410 has 5 GHz WiFi as well as 2.4 GHz.

Thanks in advance.

  • Photosmart 7525: HP7525 wifi frequency 2.4 and 5.0?

I have a Motorola SBG6580 router I had to fix to 5.0 ghz in order to get faster speeds on my laptop. It is unfortunately not a router dual-band auto.

In any case, when I made this change, he lost contact with my HP 7525 which leads me to believe that the printer does not communicate via 2.4 ghz, is that correct?  Y at - there a software update for the 7525 do communicate more 5.0 ghz frequentcy or can I plug a USB printer wifi dongle to communicate through 5.0 ghz?

    Hello

It uses a 2.4 GHz band. No, you can't hook dongle in USB port ist to do the 5 GHz.

  • Why my new iPad and iPhone massively have wifi slowly when Bluetooth is turned on?

I tried to watch reboot etc until I found a post saying that the Bluetooth is originally the devices have a much slower connection. I turned Bluetooth and got 65 instead of the download speed of 11 gig. However, my watch Apple pencil and pebble being disabled, is very important to me, so it's not a viable option for me. What can I do? A fix is even planned? ! Running the latest iOS with all the patches etc in place. Tried to close everything and restart both devices and the router etc, but disable Bluetooth is so far the only thing that makes the difference. My old mini iPad and iPhone 6 were very good, but I traded them in

Hello. If you use a 2.4 GHz, instead of the most recent 5 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth uses the same frequency band and may interfere with it. Try to change to 5 GHz, ir your router supports.

  • How to set up the AppleTV on WiFi dual band network

    Hello

At home, I have a modem/router double band in a Hitron CGN3 installed, providing 2.4 G and 5G wifi access. However, the dual band seems not suitable for airplay, because they cannot communicate with each other via the double frequencies.

    Devices in the House:

    AppleTV (3rd generation): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #1 (version 9.3.4): 5 g

    iPhone 5 s #2 (version 9.3.4): 2.4 g

    Audio/video receiver: Wired Ethernet

    #1 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    #2 laptop (windows 7, latest iTune): 2.4 G

    Questions and facts of communication:

    • iPhone 5 s #1 (on 5 G) can reach AppleTV (on 5 G) - very well, but the iPhone 5 s #2 (in 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)
    • All iPhones and iTunes on laptops can see the AV receiver (on Ethernet cable)
    • All iTunes on laptop computers (about 2. 4 g) cannot see the AppleTV (on 5 G)

In my view, that airplay should work in the same network. All my devices to connect to the same router/modem, just using WiFi dual bands. Could you please tell how to configure to activate devices on 2.4 G to see on 5G AppleTV using airplay? Except the resolution that I have to put all devices on 2. 4 g. My laptop does not support the network of 5G, BTW.

    Thank you very much.

    Po

Had a similar problem with my router Netgear of Virgin in Britain. My router has a network of comments rather than the two strips running on the same network, then the router has isolate traffic from 5 G to 2. 4 g. I connected to the interface of the router and changed the settings for everything, and it works.

A way to check see if you have different IP addresses on devices ranges. 5g is 192.168.0 and 2.4 g is 10.10.0

  • Network configuration of Roaming Wifi problem I just bought an Airport Extreme and I intend to use it as my router

I just bought a refurbished Airport Extreme and I intend to use it as my router & combine with our old time Capsule of existing one to create a roaming Wifi network.

The new Airport Extreme (renovated) is in my studio/Office - directly connected to our internet broadband wireless (WAN port)

Our small ethernet is connected to my iMac [mid 2010 running OSX 10.11.5] & a PC and extends up to 2 other domains through an ethernet switch.

This configuration works very well, our internet speed has improved slightly - better than our old T-Link router bit.  WiFi available throughout the House - better on one side.

Time Capsule (2 TB) is connected by ethernet on the far side of the House, offer backup Time Machine and strong Wifi to this area.

This time Capsule was an existing installation that went perfectly with the T-Link before I bought the Airport Extreme.

I used the Airport utility to set everything up and it seems to work.

    The problem is:

Combines the Capsule and extreme connected & active, the Internet gradually slows down and grinds to stop. -Wifi seems to follow suit, but is much more gradual.

If I disable the Time Capsule, the internet connection is back to normal, Airport Extreme Wifi signal is strong and extends to almost all areas.

I got to the departure of the two units configuration problems, so I reset both factory default and from that moment managed to do all this work - with the exception that the internet connection slows down.  Whenever I visit a different web site, it takes more time to load/link upward.

I spoke with our ISP, the link to our tower is solid. The technology suggested that I put Wifi on each unit to use a different channel (2 frequencies & several channels each available).

So far, this has not resolved the problem, I will continue to make adjustments.

I googled this - most of the answers are not to date - usually 2012, 13, 14. and not directly related to my situation.  But I will continue my search.

I'd appreciate if anyone here has any suggestions

The new Airport Extreme (renovated) is in my studio/Office - directly connected to our internet broadband wireless (WAN port)

What is the number and the model of the modem or modem/router that your ISP has provided you?

Should we assume that you use a Mac with the help of a current or recent operating system?

If you get out of the Capsule of time and leaves disabled for now, the network AirPort Extreme continue to run at full speed for a few hours and not slow down?

We ask these questions because we must first confirm that the AirPort Extreme works properly until we can begin to troubleshoot the connection to Time Capsule.

  • Envy 15: HP Envy 15 - Intel 7265 - WiFi fails to connect

    Hello

I have a HP Envy who came with 10 windows and has an Intel WiFi 7265 card. I started the Setup program and was able to see WiFi connections and connect to the office and two - House. Once all updates completed, I usually used it between the two locations of WiFi - both work very well. However on a trip, I tried to connect to other WiFi and since tried about 6 different options and all fail - "Connecting" message shows, then disappears and no connection was made.

Different wireless devices include a 2Wire, Dlink, Cisco Enterprise Access Points, Access Points, a three hotspots different telephone based. All do the same thing.

    Steps for debugging:

    (1) update driver. HP site has a driver from March 2016.

    (2) installed the driver Intel AC-7265 from 09 20, 2016.

    (3) change the settings for the favorite band at 2.4 GHz and also at 5 GHz and neither make a difference - DLink business devices and Cisco work in both frequencies.

    (4) change the widths of 801.11 channels to 20 MHz only.

    (5) changed "wireless mode" in the pilot of 802.11 a, then g, then a / g and back to the default a/b/g value.

Done everything above with the disabled on Bitdefender firewall.

None of these worked, shaped so I'll post here, to see if maybe someone else has had something similar and did get a resolution.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

I finally get a resolution - not really a resolution, but at least my WiFi working properly I can say - I ended up factory restore.

In essence, it is a workaround, because everything that triggered the issue could not be overturned and fixed. Had to spend the whole weekend to get my data/apps etc put in place again, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.

I think someone else can begin to rebuild their system instead of having to try all the options we've been through here and save themselves a lot of hours of frustration.

    Thank you.

  • Portege Z830 - 11 H - updated module Intel Wifi and 3G.

    Hello!

    I bought in Finland of Z830 - 11H.

Recently I discovered that I have got WiFi Atheros instead of Intel one module.
Which disables the wireless display option.

Is it possible to Exchange modules wi - fi?
    I also have 3G connectivity.

Is it possible get this module?

    Thank you!

    Alexey.

    Hello

Some of the Z830 are equipped with a 3G module, it should be possible at this level with a module 3G.
The compatible 3G module could be ordered in Toshiba ASP in your country, but also a compatible wireless network card.
As the miniPCI Wireless LAN module card is based on DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum / Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing radio technology) meets the standard of IEEE 802.11 standard, so the use of these Wlan modules should not be a problem, but probably the BIOS would not recognize the new module so I recommend asking the dealer if you can replace the Wlan key if it is not compatible BIOS.

  • Satellite P850 - Bluetooth - wireless in same range of radio frequencies

    Hello world

My laptop has received the following message for a while:

Devices Bluetooth (TM) and WirelessLAN function in the same radio frequency range and may interfere with each other.

If you use Bluetooth devices and WirelessLAN simultaneously, you can sometimes meet optimal network performance or even lose your network connection.

In this case, always stop using your Bluetooth or WirelessLAN.
Please contact Toshiba PC product support website
http://www.Toshiba-Europe.com/computers/TNT/Bluetooth.htm in Europe or www.pc.support.global.toshiba.com in the United States for more information.

    I was unable to solve.
It does not seem to affect much on the bluetooth, but wireless is a disaster.
Sometimes it slows down even the computer.

I googled no site Web indicates a conflict without wireless/bluetooth.

    Everyone knows about this problem?
And nobody knows if the wireless adapter is bluetooth built-in (as in a combo)?

    See you soon,.
    Juan

Don't know what Wlan module you have, but especially books use a Wlan / BT combo module and a module supports both: wireless and connectivity BT.

If noticed some signal interference between WiFi and BT, I recommend you to disable BT in case you use Wlan connectivity. In the case where you use BT, disable Wlan.

  • External hard drives, disconnect WIFI

    HP Pavilion g7 2269WM W / Windows 8.1(64bit)

I recently bought an insignia powered USB 3.0 hub to connect 2 external HARD drives to my PC via 2 USB 3.0 ports 1.

    HARD DRIVES-

1 western Digital My Passport Ultra 500 GB

2-500 GB SATA for another laptop put in an envelope.

Both work very well plugged alone, plugged into the hub with the hub plugged on the USB 3.0 port NO.

But the second I connect the hub on a USB 3.0, wifi off, and sometimes 1 records are found.

When I unplug the hub, the wifi continues to work.

I tried to do this with the hub plugged into the power supply and no, same results.  What is the question a problem wifi? I don't understand how all this is still linked to a network connection.

    Hello, @alyusha22

It seems that when you have your external hard drive connected via usb 3.0 there is a conflict with the wireless. I will try to help you with this.

First update all the drivers that you can. You can do this with the Wizard Support HP, or from this page: drivers for laptop HP Pavilion g7-2269wm.

Other possible causes to this, is the radio frequency.

This is an Intel document that passes over the issue in depth: USB 3.0* Radio Frequency Interference Impact on 2.4 GHz wireless devices

I hope that it helps anything here.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Satellite L10-194: need other drivers and WiFi

    Hello

I am trying to determine the correct drivers WiFi for my laptop Toshiba Satellite L10-194. There seems to be at least 4 different drivers available, but I have no way to determine what network card, I installed it as the hard drive has been wiped.

The only drivers I can find are listed in the link below:

    http://tinyurl.com/2jwuhm

I am also located in the USA, and I do not know if these drivers do not suit my region of use. What matters for WiFi frequencies/channels?

    Kind regards.

    Hello

At the bottom of the unit, you should find a label.
Worth mentioning WLan card details on this label. Select this check box.

PS: You received the Toshiba tools and utilities. On this CD, you will surely find the right WLan driver.

  • Weak WIFI signal

Hi, am currently using an HP Pavilion 2307tx g6 but get really weak wifi signal in my room. Only able to get about 2-3 bars every time while my other laptop can go up to full bars.

Any help/solution would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the HP Forum, Rascal.

Discussion on the theme of the power of the Signal

Buffaloes by themselves may be a little empty of meaning, UNLESS you can interpret the definition of what each 'bar' says.

Signals are affected by the type of router you have - routers are NOT equal.

    • The cheapest router can not not the support required for the performance of your computer's wireless card.

Example: An older router that only supports 802.11 g will not provide faster than 54Mbps - even if you have the best card you can buy in your computer.

    • The opposite can be true as well - a good router cannot provide a better service than the computer's wireless can support.

Example: If the card in your computer is 802.11 g, so even if you have a router capable of speeds of more than 300 Mbps, you can get only 54 Mbps.

Speed and autonomy are limited by the link in the chain.

    • 802.11n is faster than the 'g', but it can also be slowed by the walls, the furniture in metal and other obstructions.
    • Move your equipment, even a few inches, could make the difference to a router 802.11 g

    AND

    • The same might be true for a 802.11n router that has a small antenna (low power)
    • Antennas in routers are NOT equal.  Small antennas in routers fantasies can still match a whimpy router.  You want a router with a 5db antenna 7db (or better if they make these by the time you read this).

Assuming you bought the biggest, baddest, best wireless available for your computer, then you may need to upgrade your router.

    Strength vs. Signal bars

Bars can indicate how things are moving along, or they can cloud the issue - depends on the "bars": which generates the bars, the sensitivity are the bars and you can do a lot in a bar anyway?

You can use another measure: the traction measured in percentages, detection and Signal type:

Laptop was purchased a few years ago and I saw a strange question through this year. Whenever Youtube videos play a Wi - Fi removes all the minutes and then automatically reconnects after 1 to 2 minutes.

It took me a while to understand that it is only happens on Youtube, another HTML-5 or services online Flash works perfectly for me.

I have already reinstalled the drivers, firmware for routers, restored a few times etc, but the issue still persist with any configuration after these years of suffering of your system :D There is evidence in newspapers (or the windows log adapter wi - fi event logs), I do not see where to find useful data to analyze and find errors.

I would like to hear advice on this topic,

Test the laptop as part of other hotspots of Wi - Fi networks, etc.
Maybe you could test it the laptop for the neighbours WLan connection.

Also check the connection using WLan different channels (1-12) as well as various parameters of encryption (WPA-WPA2 AES / TKIP) and different WiFi standard 802. 11 B/g / N
Also if possible WiFi (2.4 Ghz 5 GHz) frequency must be tested

    Hello

WiFi and BT use the same frequency. For the most part this isn't a big problem but in case you notice a few connection problems with WLan or BT, you must disable WLan using BT or must turn off BT if you want to use the WLan.
