Friday fun: what's your favorite bagel?

Then... I had one of my team members go out and buy bagels for the team today, but I'm stuck in a meeting right now and I see everybody out of the room to enjoy. It drives me crazy. All I can think about is my bagel, I am so hungry... so my questions popped in my head.

What is your favorite bagel flavor? Mine... SALT. Mmmmm

It is not so much about the bagel (as long as it's a bagel shop and not a grocery store) for me also the things about it. I remember the first time I had salmon smoked with cream cheese herbs and garlic on a bagel toasted... changed my life!

  • What is your favorite style hyperlinks?

    Hello

What is your preferred way of styling hyperlinks?

Right now I have made them a highlighted and color mine C = 100 M = 100 Y = 0 Y = 0. In my opinion, it's a little too hard on my overall design. And then if I highlight them, how people assume to know that they are the links?

Spelling URLS is not an option. At least I have use TinyURL? They say their links will last forever, but who knows for sure?

If the document starts at least likely to be read on an eBook device or printing on a b/w device, it's probably a good idea to choose a color that will convert to something close enough the color of the text. Although it may seem as if full intensity C & M should become full black intensity, it's not like that.

I tried the same color setting as you suggest, but because he showed enough weakly on a Sony Reader, I went to broken or dotted underlines in the text color instead, at least for short TOCs, etc..  Long or dense parts (e.g. index) seem to work better if the hyperlink is invisible and only indicated by a symbol of the end, say an arrow any.

In general, using color to indicate a goal is rarely a good idea from the point of the design of a user interface - which are to create hyperlinks.  If you control the output channel to 100%, very well. But you rarely do.

  • Batman - your Favorites?

As well as James Bond, "lighten", I am in the middle of a marathon of Batman on AMC (fortunately AMC HD) and revisit some of the Batman franchise. I remember some or certain parts of some, but am a little surprised that I missed so much.

As several actors and directors are attacked in Batman, what are your favorite/versions episodes?

I know that I like and why. Extra points, if you can tell us WHY.

    Hunt

Michael Keaton played Batman as a human being and not as a superhero. And it is crucial for Batman. It is a normal human with no specific physical gifts. All he can do is because of the obsessive very, very, single-minded focus of mental and other resources.

So if I like the psychotic accent that brings Christian Bale, it fails because it does not seem like a person. But all around him in the new films is great.

I am planning to use a hotpoint for my business. I was wondering what kind of experience I would using the Ipad hotpoint. Is it fast, ok, slow. Y at - it somebody who uses it and what is your opinion.

    Thank you

Assuming that you are referring to the hotspot feature, nobody here can tell how it works because it depends on your wireless provider, congestion on the network, signal strength, etc...

Peronsally, I would not even consider this route.

  • Impossible to your Favorites

I looked at the KB on this issue, but none of them seem to address my problem. I have a Macbook Pro OS undated end model. No addons. I'm UNABLE to bookmark in anyway. It's not just save, I can't with any method that I am sensitive to your Favorites. If I click on the star icon it does not. If I use the shortcut keys, the bookmarks menu item highlights while I pressed the key combination. If I use the drop down menu, nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated.

  • What is your HTML5 BB10 Office as development workflow?

What is your HTML5 BB10 Office as development workflow?

The amount of time it takes to perform the debugging/save/construction/installation/reboot/test is too long.

There was such a thing as emulator ripple and I see now Chrome has the development tools Mobile http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/developertools/mobile/ which is in a similar field.

It seems that all that really need to happen is that some responsible, special *.js files to emulate each gross API platforms (so there is no JS error during execution of the API).  They don't even have to implement the function in a first time, just provide an API stub, logs the call of API, params and message "not implemented by emulation API".

Then a large part of the application could be developed on the desktop before you need to install it on the Simulator or a real device.

This request is so what exactly is your workflow that allows you to make the most of the field work in the application.

We talk to the era of today (June 2014), WebWorks 2.1, Cordova 3.5.x etc...

A lot of my development tends to be in the desktop browser (e.g. Chrome; for its great developer tools.) Especially when it comes to the UI and others. Really, until I'm leveraging Cordova (incl. WebWorks, Phonegap, etc..) API, all my work is done there.

Cordoba has a mastery of 'serve' which will host in fact your content on a web server. So if your config.xml file is pointing to this web server (instead of the local index.html file) you can just use 'cordova serve' to start the server and 'cordova prepare' to update the server with all changes made to its files.

In this way, just run you this command on your PC, refresh (restart) the app and the new changes are turned on without requiring continuous re - installed.

There is information on it here:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/v2_1/preview_your_app_from_cmd_line.html

And note that 'prepare webworks' will update the content, which allows a quick refreshment.
