front panel remote with firefox

Hello

I used to publish screws on the 8.6 LV Web server, not the problems of witkout, but with workaround solutions, it entered into deployment.

Now, to try similar things and are having problems.

I use 2010sp1 (english version) LV on a German XP Professional with the German Version of browsers.

To start simple, I used the web publishing tool.

When I do a simple snap of the VI, it works very well with all browsers. When I turn on remote it works only with the

IE (7 in this case), but only if I disable the Kaspersky Firewall (exe of the VI is included in approved programs)

Opera (my favorite, here 11.5) asks a missing plug-in, but displays the header text and footer

Firefox not similar but shows only a small icon for the missing front.

I am well aware of the http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/151BE12C055F57CE86257043006CB4B3?OpenDocument

and the fact that insofar as I understand that "nplv2010win32.dll" is present when it is intended.

The list of the addons/plugins in anf Opera Firefox the two metion the plugin.

I hope that it is not true that remote Panel does not work with IE execept, as one of my colleagues mentioned.

Gabi

Hi Gabi,.

Unfortunately, your colleague is right.

There are problems using remote façade of LV in the latest versions of firefox.

It has been possible with firefox 1.x.

Opera is not supported for remote access of façade.

In fact, IE is the browser more stable and reliable for the remote façade LV panels.

Regarding the Kaspersky Firewall:

Please can you check if all ports which are used in the Web of LabVIEW server are open...
The ports used by the Server Web LV you can find in the settings the LabVIEW server options.

Hello to all users of the Forum and to whom, who prefer Toshiba to a daily activity of s.

    Hello

Looks like you have just messed the whole OS.
Use and relocation of the recovery CD Qosmio Player will not allow Toshiba cotroll buttons and remote control.

In you case reinstalling the driver would be desirable; Start with Manager common Module, controls, remote control.

If it does not help the use of CD recovery Toshiba does wonders! ;)

But note; Don t forget to back up your data because the recovery CD formats the HARD drive!

  • front panel remote - cRIO-9012

    Hello

I have trouble getting the remote façade work.  When I try to view the page in my browser, I get the message "Required VI is not loaded in memory on the server computer." I tried following the steps in the following two links, but I still receive the message.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/7FEE6BCFD264175C8625723E000D928E http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=275186&requireLogin=false

I wonder if something is set up correctly in my project tree.  I posted a picture (counter_test_v7.vi, is what I'm trying to see the control panel).  Any other ideas?

    Thank you!

    -Brian

    Brian,

What you see is a correct behavior.  What you need to do is to get your e/s of your FPGA to your RT of one of the two methods (as I see you are using LabVIEW 8.5.1 or more).  The first method is to use a control node of read/write on your VI RT to access controls and indicators on your FPGA VI.  The second method is to use a FIFO of DMA for your FPGA VI write its data to the FIFO and have your RT VI read from the FIFO.  These are the methods you need to use to accomplish the task you're wanting.

I would recommend a training Module FPGA base available here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3555#toc5 specific lesson 6.

  • Why my front panel opens with a white background and most of the invisible control

When I open my vi and several others, they open with a white background and most of the controls not returned as theis

It's probably somewhat similar to these problems of crazy object.

Sometimes copy/paste works because it takes your code on a VI that could have a corruption and put in a cool VI.  In your case, the corruption could be linked to the control itself and he just copied over in the new VI.  Money controls are a relatively recent creation which added some fancy appearances.  They don't seem to be the style that is most likely to have some behind the bugs of scenes from the styles of controls that were longer.

If you have a shared services provider, or if a person nor jump here and wants to study, they want to can see your VI and understand what goes wrong.  If this isn't the case, I hope that what you've done has solved the problem and you can spend without return.

  • OR scope Soft Front Panel fails to load

    Hello

I use the scope Soft Front Panel OR with my USB NI 5132 for some time successfully. However, recently it has stopped working completely - seems to load a bit then fails before you even open the screen. The same thing happens in MAX I did all the updates critical, uninstalled then reinstalled NI Scope, uninstalled Labview (the only thing I had changed after the last time, I know that it worked successfully) and checked the nitaglv.dll library was in the right place according to this post: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/63739991438EC593862579C6007301EC

So far nothing's worked. I NI SCOPE 4.0 and NI-VISA 5.3.0 installed, and the computer could see successfully the digitizer USB 5132 Max after the relocation OR scope, well that the flexible façade does not always load and making the Panel test Max also does not.

I have attached a picture of the screen to load before it disappears so that could provide clues.

    Suggestions?

  • Hide / disable the front panel

    Long story, long:

I created a little utility like a VI.  The utility accepts command-line arguments, reads a file, outputs (using .NET) on the console, and then must close.  The front panel is empty, and the program is expected to completed in a fraction of a second.  In fact, I bet that "demand" fresh General takes longer than the actual program.  I would have coded in another language, but I can read only the cluster in a binary file with LabVIEW.

    Environment:

Windows XP, LabVIEW 8.2.1, .NET Framework 3.5

    Short story:

How to prevent a LabVIEW program displaying the front panel and appear in the taskbar?

There is also an option to simply close the front panel, try with 100% transparent option also

  • Outsourcing of the controls on the front panel for a panel floating Subvi

    Hello!

I already found a few similar topics, but I still don't know which is the best way to solve my problem. I will try to describe my problem in detail first: I have a main VI that acquires data from a device and displays these data in a large waveform graph. I have also a few controls on the front panel to control my device. First, I placed all of these device controls (digital, sliders, etc.) as well as the chart inside the front of my main VI. However, due to limited screen space now I would like to make the largest possible graph and so decided to "outsource" some controls out of the main façade of VI to several panels front-end Subvi.

I would then press a button in my main VI and it would open the Panel before the floating of the Sub - VI corresponding with outsourced controls when required. However, everything must be absolutely transparent. It is important that floating panels to run in parallel with my main VI, that is the main VI must continue to operate. That way I'll have my data constantly updated in the chart in my main VI while I can change some settings of the device through the controls placed in my SubVIs. These changes will be immediately applied (for example as soon as the main VI calls this slot - VI in its main loop).

It is important to the visibility of the outsourced optional control panel, i.e. If the Subvi front panel opens with the user that it will pop up and the user will be able to change the paramers device using the. But then the user should be able to close the front panel (hide) the Subvi to see the entire chart again without the Panel floating in front of her (of course control values must be maintained when the Subvi front is not visible). Then the new button is pressed in the main VI that opens the dialog box not modal Subvi containing controls and it can redefine new values of device.

Advice how to do this are welcome. I don't know if I need something complex like VI server or asynchronous screws or I can solve my problem by changing some settings simple Subvi? Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards

How about using a global variable for the VI at VI communication instead of a queue?

A global variable will, also.  Write you in one place and read the value frequently to somewhere else (in the election). So you can see easily to any value change.  However, mark will waste a lot of time processor.  This is why I have proposed to use a queue or a notification utility.

    AStankov wrote:

Would be the last option that you mentioned, i.e. finish the Subvi at each change of value, I would keep the Subvi front open as needed until things from the user to hide? Or would there be inevitable flickering Panel or any other drawbacks?

Yes, the Subvi can keep the façade open until the user closes. And there should be no flickering.  The biggest drawback I see right now is that when you expect an event in the Subvi, the mainVI cannot stop without talking to the Subvi to stop.  So you'll need another channel of communication (again a global, a queue, a declarant or an event) to tell the Subvi that she must stop.

  • Remote front panel in Tablet

    Hi all

I am trying to establish a remote connection of frontage on a windows 8 OS 32 bit on 64 bit Tablet atom processor since an exe file deployed to myRIO. I had checked the remote façade on the development of PC connectivity (windows 8 OS 64-bit processor i7), installed the LV RT 2013 engine and the 32-bit drivers on the tablet. The problem is the remote connection of façade hangs after some time. I connect the target to a type B USB which is connected to an OTG cable and then to tablet microUSB port.

    1. I reduced the data rate to about 200 samples per second (20 display values on a chart by 0.1 seconds), the problem still persists

    2. the remote panel works pretty well when it is connected to the development PC and another PC (windows 8, OS 64-bit with LV RT 2013 installed) via USB, it's just the tablet that loses connection after some time (it says connection refused by the server control panel)

    3. I have connected the target to an active local network the WiFi on the shelf and got the remote control works perfectly. It is just the physical USB connection to the tablet with an OTG cable that creates the problem after a while

I came to the conclusion that the problem could be with the 32-bit drivers (the screen gets stuck after some time however), OTG cable (I tried another one) or that the Tablet is running on 32 bit OS. I even installed LV 2013 on the Tablet, developed a test exe and tried remote front panel, still the same problem persists. All entries for what could be the problem?

    Thank you

    Arya

I thought it would be FAFSA is causing your problem.

Install Portable Firefox 3.6.x on your hard drive to a Web site. This will not affect any of your current Firefox installation.

  • OR DC Soft Front Panel, minorbug, small bug with the PXI-4110

    Hello

The NI DC Soft Front Panel V14.0, with the PXI-4110, scrolling to negative tension, works as expected to-10V, but then returns to 0. If we change from - 1V procedure, it goes...-8-9,-10, -1, -2... instead of-8-9,-10, -11, -12...

Everything about her, a simple thing that I miss is a switch for all three voltages.

(Also, IMO, it would be logical for negative tensions with the arrow pointing down, not more).

    Hello Janaf,

I completely agree with two of your statements, I tabled a report of corrective measures that you can monitor in the next versions of DCPower to see if this is fixed with the FPS. CAR number: 512257

I've added notes that only manual insertion of numbers - less than 10 works and that it was not logical to use arrow increment or upward arrow to reduce the output voltage.

  • How to get AC 97 Front Panel Audio and Microphone ports to work with Windows 8

I have a m7277c HP Media Center that uses the motherboard Asus P5LP-(Lithium-UL8E) and has an Audio Jack and Microphone AC 97 spec ports on the front panel. I tried to install the Codec AC 97 drivers for Windows 7 and they do not work for Windows 8. The 'High Definition Audio Codec"Windows 8 drivers only work for the Ports on the rear panel, not the Ports on the front panel.

How can I get AC 97 Front Panel Audio and Microphone ports to work with Windows 8?

    Hello

Your model has not been tested for the use of Windows 8.

For this reason, HP cannot provide instructions to upgrade or Windows 8 pilots.

Therefore, it will be very difficult to provide a solution.

  • Is there a way to put a button on the front panel only when clicked gives a pop-up dialog box with more information on it?

    Hello world

The simulations that I create are very simple themselves but are intended to use in the classroom to help students learn more about the proven theory.  I hope to be able to place a 'help' or 'other info' button on the front panel that rises wants more info on theory, they can click on it and a pop up appears with background information on it.  It should also have a second button to close it and return to the main façade.  Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

    Thank you!

Use a structure of the event on the main vi when the button is clicked, launches a "help" void / vi. On the inside of the Sub vi (with the set properties to load the front when it is called, of course), use another structure of the event to wait until then click on the button of the Subvi, you can return to the main VI. Do you need assistance on using the structures of the event?

  • Application with several front panels

    Hi all

I'm working on an application that has 3-4 fronts.

As, when the application starts, the 'User profile' Panel appears. From there, I can go to 2 different panels.

1 Panel is to take the new user data. another decision of the user test.

I want to know is it advisable to display each panel of different VI or shud I have them all in a single VI and manipulate by making Visible property On / Off.

    Thank you

    Ritesh

I think that the best way to do it would be using the control tab. Place all controls or indicators for each different "front panel" that you would have on the different tabs and then make the tabs visible/invisible. In this way, you have a contol/indicator to catch up. You could do a search for the creation of an Assistant in LV you would also benfit using a statemachine for this type of architecture.

  • Does anyone know how to control the characteristics of police in a table with a front panel control?

It seems that it should be simple enough.  I want that the user can adjust the characteristics of police of an array of numbers with some controls on the front panel.  I know how to do this using the drop down menus - but I want my users to do with the controls on the front panel.  I looked at the options property node and it does not resemble anything in here would help...

    Thanks for your time.

    j.

Right-click on a digital control in the table and choose Create-> property Node-> NumericText-> police-> size.  Change to write and this allows to adjust the size on the fly.
