Full Windows XP system recovery.

My computer is already infected with spyware, viruses, and malware and simply my computer be reformatted. In this case, how can I have run full system recovery that I don't have the recovery cd?

You can't do that. It has a partition recovery tho?

If so, either reboot the system, then press F10 / F12 / whatever key to reinstall. Or remove the hard disk in a system that works. GB on the partition recovery find / copy ISO / s and then burn. Otherwise, you will need to purchase a version of windows, and then reinstall it

If I use the disks, it will wipe your computer completely clean? And how to run?

    Hi web4u,.

Looks like you have a full recovery 'destructive '. Destructive doesn't mean that it's hurting your PC, rather it means it clears out all data files on your PC and returns your PC back to the State it was when you bought it. Looks like you did a cover of "non-destructive", which means that the software has been restored, but your data files are left intact.

  • After installing Windows 7 system recovery

    Hello

I got a brand new HP m9770 desktop PC and I installed Windows 7 from scratch on C:\ partition. Unfortunately, I want to go back to Vista, but I can't do a system restore. There is always a partition that contains the files in recovery E:\ but pressing F11 at boot beginning I can't chose the system recovery. Is there a way to force the PC to start in this partition without to order recovery DVD?

    Thanks much for the reply.

1.right - click on the "Computer" icon and select manage.
    2. This will launch the Microsoft Management Console.
    3. on the left side of the MMC console, click "Disk management" and it will show you all the partitions.
    4. right - click on the "HP Recovery" partition and select "Mark as Partition Active."
    5. when the warning message appears, select 'Yes' - restart the machine and it will automatically start in the Recovery Manager (without having to press F11).

Unfortunately Dell do not ship DVD to reinstall Windows with the systems more.

I recommend you contact Technical Support as soon as the system arrives and asks a reinstallation DVD.

If you reside in the United States or to the CA, you can fill out this form to request for media:

    www.Dell.com/recoverymedia

Unfortunately Dell doesn't have a courteous of the customer form in all other regions.

Note Technical Support Dell may tell you to use Dell backup and recovery to make the installation media, but from my experience, this is not a reliable solution like a DVD of actual relocation.

  • Satellite L550 - 13 c - can't configure Windows after system recovery

After using the windows recovery discs, I get the message,
+ Can not configure windows to run on this computer hardware. +

I changed the hard drive in the past, and after that reinstalled the software with the same disk without problem. But now it does not.

    Any advice?

    Best regards, HAns

Have you used the new HARD drive with the same size?

Probably the image of Toshiba is unable to configure the system due to the size of the HARD drive.
But to be honest: the size of the HARD drive should not be a problem and so it's just a guess

However, the fact is that the Toshiba Recovery disk would fix the laptop back to factory settings. This means that even the new HARD disk should be partitioned and the same partitions can be created on the new HARD drive.

You could overcome this procedure using a Microsoft Windows installation disc.
Of course the Toshiba drivers must be downloaded separately from the Toshiba page and installed after the installation of the Windows System.

  • How can I make a set of my pre-installed Windows XP system recovery disks?

How can I make a set of recovery discs from my Windows XP pre-installed system supplied with the machine? It works ok (so not the repair feature). It there is just so much junk from test facilities in the background that I want to do a complete wipe-out and re - install, but I don't have any original Windows XP disks.

The process to create recovery disks is different according to the model of the computer.

Check your manual for instructions or see website of support from the manufacturer for instructions.

  • Helps the dv4 HP system recovery

My laptop does not start normally. I have to put it in safe mode in order to start it. When I try to boot normally, a blue screen appears a second after the computer starts. It's only for a second, then my computer restarted, promptimg me to start in safe mode.

I have a set of recovery disks created when I first bought the computer, but I can't understand how to use them. In safe mode, I can open Recovery Manager. I choose the system recovery and answer 'Yes' when asked if I want to restore my computer to factory settings. When I click Next, the computer restarts. A window titled "System Recovery Options." I have the following options:

Startup Repair (I tried, it did not help my problem)

Systemm restoration (I can't access it, I turned it off until it started and now I am unable to turn it on)

System Image Recovery (that's what I tried, but I can't understand what I'm doing)

The Windows Memory Diagnostic (have not tried)

Command prompt (no idea how to do this)

Please, I need urgent help to solve this problem. I read the other subjects with similar issues, but as even I, log in normally, none will work for me. I need to use an external disk drive to use the restore disks and I tried to use, but like I said, I don't know what to do. Please help me get my system recovery to work. Thank you.

Your laptop is not booting from the recovery disc. Enter the BIOS (F10 key after plugging for most HP laptops) and USB CD/DVD drive as the first boot device. Save and exit.

  • Split 13 x 2 PCs 13-m110dx: cannot perform the system recovery using a USB flash drive

I just bought a Split 13 x 2 13-m110dx PC that came with Windows 8. I have upgraded the OS to 8.1 and made a copy of the recovery Partition using a USB flash drive, and deleted the recovery of the PC disk that I learned that I could do. However, when I tried to retrieve OEM provided using the USB flash drive by following the directions at creation and use of a recovery of Microsoft USB drive (Windows 8) "System Recovery" was not available to the title of "troubleshooting." I tried to tell it to boot from the USB, but it askes me to insert the support of windows or other media, but rejects the flash player. What do I do now because I have not all discs?

To use the Flash created to restore the system to the factory settings, see "Recovering from a USB flash drive" appearing in the following link:

HP computers - running a HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
HP System Recovery allows to reinstall or restore a HP with Windows 8 computer to the way it was at a previous time.
  • 'System recovery disk' reminder

I have a new HP PC Pavilion Streamline S5212y with Windows 7, and I like it a lot. However, from time to time a window titled "System recovery reminder" appears. There are three radio buttons: "Now recovery disk" "please remind Me later" and "do Me again." I do not wish the recovery discs (I bought them) and so I chose the third option. But nowhere on the popup is there a "Submit" or similar button. By pressing 'Enter' does nothing. The popup is just sitting there, with "no me more remind" selected. The only way to get rid of it is to do a right-click in the taskbar and choose "close this window". What I am doing wrong? Am I missing something? Thank you.

    Hi stefanmaine,

I'm not sure that you are doing something wrong and I don't know why the message does not go far its own. I'll have to examine the question further... but I have a solution to keep you the reminder to appear. Follow the steps in this Document from HP support on preventing callbacks in Windows 7.

I hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

  • Do the system recovery, but wish to preserve Windows updates

I need perform a full system recovery, but I don't want to lose all of the updates I have downloaded for Windows Vista, how do I keep these updates?

    Hi Velshard,

    Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

If you do a full system restore, which means that all reinstall them Windows you won't able to track updates.

What exact type of installation that you do?  Complete format and reinstall?  You may be able to integrate the updates in the copy of Windows Vista.

If you do an UPGRADE in PLACE, it can reinstall the system files and you may have to reinstall your program files to provide the correct pointers in the registry.  There is no obvious way to keep the updates installed as you suggested.

Please let us know the type of installation you have.

    Thank you
