  Next to the VAP (value added package) you need to install the Flash Utility card support!
  Card Flash utility support controls the keys FN and not the VAP! But VAP is also needed.

  My brightness function keys do not work. Other function keys like music player, mute etc work fine in my windows operating system 7. No, my model is 15-r006TU. I installed all the drivers display and checked the key parameters of the action in my BIOS settings. Nothing works.

  The Intel HD graphics card appears under the category of display cards in Device Manager or a Standard VGA adapter is displayed.

  Normally when the brightness of the screen is stuck on max and you cannot change it,'re missing you the driver from the chipset, the graphics driver, or both.

  Make sure that you have installed the Intel chipset installation and restart utility as well as the Intel HD graphics driver.

  Just got my first ThinkPad, a T520 and after the UltraNav driver update it seems that some of my function keys no longer work. I've seen similar posts on this problem but all stem from different problems.

  My volume keys work, but there is no image on the screen on show mute/up/down. My microphone mute button doesn't seem to work at all, nor does the ThinkVantage button.

  According to the keys function F2, F3, F5, F6, F7, F8, all do nothing when used with the function button, however I can use F4 to sleep, F12 to Hibernate, the brightness and PgUp all light work.

  I tried the BIOS to see if I could affect something there, but I saw no way to do it.

  Any help in getting the function keys working properly again would be greatly appreciated!

  but after that, the function keys, volume, brightness, key FN and even the backlight does not work anymore!

  I tried to restore the system and update the driver software but nothing has worked...

  I use these keyboard shortcuts all the time and now it's really hard without them!

  What is the problem? What should I do?

  The problem is that U920T satellite is not listed as Win 10 support unit and, therefore, drivers earn 10 Toshiba and software that controls the FN keys is not released.
  But as far as I know using the FN keys, system of Toshiba and the Support of Flash Card Utility driver must be installed.

  For all Toshiba units win 10 supported, the drivers can be downloaded from this page:

  Maybe you can try the drivers released for other models of portable Win 10 supported...
  I'm not sure if the software will be compatible with your model of U920T, but its certainly worth a try...

My problem is that the function key to enable the wireless Radio does not work. I checked the lock feature. The other function keys are marked as well function. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver hotkey as well as the wireless driver and I still can't work.

  According to the request, you have problem with Wifi function key for your ThinkPad T540p.

  Please check with BIOS update and then install the shortcut function keyboard with Lenovo power management driver.

  Well that does not explain why your f2/f3 keys do not work as you have only the Microsoft base driver installed - if the Intel driver has already been installed Ok, this may indicate a hardware problem.

  What happens if you try to install the Intel HD 5500 driver directly from Intel - it's the 2nd file in the list on the following link.

  If it installs Ok, reboot the laptop and let Windows fully load for a few minutes before checking it in.

  I have Satellite M30E (brought in Oct 04). Past 3-4 months, my function keys stopped working. I'm not able to increase or decrease the brightness of the display which makes reading difficult. I took the laptop to the Toshiba service center, they ask for the reconstruction of the BONES and they will be responsible.

  The ASP's right. If you want to use the FN key combinations you need of the V1.27.0.0 of E - Key Utility. This driver, you can find on the CD tool & utilities. If you need the most recent version of this driver, you can visit the official website of Toshiba.
  Furthermore if this procedure doesn't work, I suggest you to recover your operating system with the supplied restore CD.
