Future updates of Carplay in my car?

In the opening statement for iOS 10 yesterday, it was mentioned that future updates of CarPlay would allow the navigation instructions display on the main screen of my car alongside the current speed, etc.  (that is, there will be a new feature of CarPlay).

My car (2016 Honda civic) will receive this feature?  Or will be locked my car in some features CarPlay existed at the time that the car was manufactured?  The question is if there is a way or update the firmware of the car to get these updates, or update my iphone enough to get many/most/all news?

Thank you

Ask your dealer or Honda.  Apple develops updates, but it's car manufacturers to make them available in form of install on their specific Central devices of vehicles.  Ask your dealer what firmware on the unit Honda update, if it is, are or will be made available.

  • So I asked Acer support on future updates...

    (21/02/2015 15:01)
    "Hello,

First of all, I would like to apologize that I have not chosen my country, but I think I'll get more relevant information from the support of England than Slovak.

In any case, here's my question. Acer will consolidate its liquid smartphones with new updates? I mean recently released version Android Lollipop.

Can we expect something? More OEM update their smartphones (not just the flagships) but not words from Acer at all.

As far as I know, there are Mediatek devices with Lollipop, so I guess leaving features introduced in 2014 with 4.4.2 will be huge disappointment not only for power, but for more customers also.

I hope you understand my concerns that I have, and I hope that I will receive an answer if we, as customers of Acer, receive next version of Android on our smartphones liquid Z500.

    Thank you for your understanding
    Regards. "

It is by email, I sent Acer UK support 6 days ago. No Czech or Slovak support, because I thought UK would have more info.

    This was their response...

[edited to conform to the guidelines]

Completely off the subject's response. It doesn't even have anything to with also the support, which has been the subject of my email. And so, the phone was bought in Slovakia, but the same electro retail chain are located in Czech Republic.

It's like Acer doesn't care even their customers. And these answers looks autobot messages.

  • Restore processes must work for future updates

I think that it a competitive disadvatage dealing with catering for my R7000 wireless router Netgear (and by all indcations, all Netgear routers) require returning configuration information manually after a few firmware updates.

Instead, there should be independent version information stored in the backups with the meta-data that would allow the process of future update updated the version independent information (for example, IP addresses saved systems to tell / alllowed) as well as meta data that would indicate during or just before the update procedure which feature information that differs between versions must be managed manually Ideally in a way the could easily be captured or printed doorwindow.

It would greatly reduce the inconvenience to the customer after excectuing a 'hard reset' on the routers.

    Thank you very much!

Normally, we recommend to use the backup and restore functionality to facilitate the reconfiguration.

There just to get our engineers found that there is something on this firmware version which made it impossible to simply use the backup and restore function where they advise to do manual configuration.

Go ahead, NETGEAR has taken note of this and will eventually use restore again for easy reconfiguration.

  • How to hide all the future updates to the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter?

Is it possible to automatically hide or ignore all future updates for Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter?

I don't have, and never plan to use Windows Mail, and I'm not sure that I could never be convinced that I should, someday.

Therefore, all the updates of Windows for this are very very little, but the update system keeps their important marking - so I have to hide them every time.

Is there a technique to automatically remove this update until it is important to my system?

I use Windows Vista Home Basic SP2.

No, you can not hide all the future updates Windows Mail Junk Email Filter. But here is a workaround:

1 configure automatic updates for the 'updates but let me choose... '. "setting.

    2. when an update of the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter is available for your approval, thereafter, hide it.

  • Windows 7 (KB976902) to allow for future updates.

Today, I saw an update on my laptop windows 7 with Ko 976902.  He says it's to allow for future updates installed properly, and that once it has been installed, I couldn't remove it.  I searched the Knowledge Base article on this topic, and it returns no results.  In some places, I read that it is used by SP1 beta.  I don't have a Beta SP1 installed on my system.

Anyone know what this update is for?

    Thank you in advance,

    vader95

This isn't software SP1 beta or even malware (perplexed9, use a little common sense). It is an update that prepares the system when the service pack is released. This has happened with the service packs for Vista too.

However this update should not be released without proper documentation, so it wouldn't surprise me if people stay until there are notes available.

  • Permanantly disabling "Install Google Toolbar" and change the default value for future updates

I use Adobe products for years and, in general, is that Adobe produces some really useful tools for users of computers and productivity.  Thereby, ever time I get notice of an 'Adobe Flash Player' update I have to answer the same questions during the update / install process.  During the installation of the installation application ask if I want to install the toolbar 'Google', and the default value is Yes, then I have to uncheck the box before installation or I receive the software on my system I do not want or do not want.  In addition, towards the end of the update, the installation application provides three options on future updates:

    (1) download and install automatically

    (2) ask before installing

    (3) never install...

And each installation I have to uncheck the installation of "Google Toolbar" and tell them that Adobe 'ask me... ' "before you download and install future updates.

Is it possible permanently disable toolbar Google and by default my response to the update download and install question to always be 'Ask Me' first?  Adobe's witnesses crossing the machine during this process, so please do not suggest that it is not possible.  Adobe simply needs to modify the setup package to find these cookies and apply preferences users for the installation process instead of constantly trying to push unwanted applications and choices to the user.

The displayed offers are based on the OS and the browser used.  If the two of you are essentially correct, for the browsers you use.

If you opt in background updates, update option = allow Adobe to install updates (recommended), Flash Player will be updated within 24 hours of a new version is released.  If you use several browsers that use different types of Flash Player (for example, IE & Firefox) all drive types are updated within 24 hours of the new versions available.

If you opt in notification updates, update = option Notify me when updates are available, the update notification generally appears within 7 days of an update is available and it is after that the system was restarted or that you log on/off voltage.   Opting to put up-to-date will launch the browser to a download page to download and install Flash Player.  If you use several browsers that use different types of Flash Player (for example, IE & Firefox) as the type of player who set the notification of update is updated.  The other type of player is not updated.

Essentially, opting in the background updates will update all types of drive on the system within 24 hours and avoids downloading accidentally offers from third-party vendors.

Note: there are slight differences for OS X updated behaivour but since you have Windows I described the behavior under Windows.

  • Where can I submit a bug or feature desired for future updates?

My question is in Lightroom, but probably others have problems elsewhere in creative cloud.  I can't seem to find a link to ask corrects him or change in future updates of the software.  Is there such a thing?

    Thank you, Suzi

    Hi Suzi,

If I understand your question: a way to interest Adobe development team is to use the "wishform" and maybe your "request correct or change in future updates of the software" can be used as a suggestion. Here at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform, where you'll find this: "Use this form to request new features or suggest modifications to existing features."

  • My iMac 27 "was missing from the option of resolution 1920 x 1080 since the day I bought it. Apple said it should be fixed in future updates to OS x, but that didn't always happen.

I have a beginning 2013 27 "iMac I customized with all the best options at the time. Since I bought it, the resolution options have displayed no 1920 x 1080 option, I tried several things as now the option key while noting key worked. In years past, I asked Apple several times about this, and their response was always 'it should be fixed in next update OSX." Well, its been a few years already, and 3 new releases OSX and the problem has never been resolved. I'm pretty sure its a problem with the graphics card from Nvidia, but I can't contact them for support because they can't really do anything. It is not like I can update the drivers for the card, software update is supposed to handle this.

I think that its ridiculous that I had this problem for so long without help at Apple. It isn't that I'm missing a non-standard resolution.

    What happens when you:

    Define the main screen resolution

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click view, and then click display.
    2. Select chipped, then select one of the options of resolution nationally.
  • The Norton Toolbar will be available any time soon in Firefox 4 BETA, or in future updates?

    I am running Firefox 4.0 b7.

If Norton is also slow to come with an update for Firefox 4.0, as they were last January when Firefox 3.6 is out, count on it a few months before you get it done correctly. IIRC, with 3.6 is looked like 5 or 6 weeks, and then it took them another 2 or 3 weeks to fix what they did the first tests two or three wrong.

  • HDR-AS15 future updates for still images

I had a question about the possible updates of the firmware for the HDR-AS15. As I understand the AS15 has the 11.9MP same sensor as the HDR-AS30. However, the still images on the AS15 are limited to 2MP. Is this something that can be changed in an update of the firmware? To allow the AS15 take pictures even at 11.9MP as does the AS30? As both cameras have the same sensors, this should be plausible.

I love my AS15 but I would like to take higher resolution pictures and take full advantage of the sensor of the camera.

    Thank you!

At present, an update that increases the resolution of the fixed image of the AS15 is not available. We appreciate your comments, and we will transfer to our team of engineers to review.

  • Future updates will come from Motorola or Google?

When Google will release an update of Honeycomb (as to enable SD card), we will be able to install this update immediately or need for Motorola to personalize it in order to release it then to the Tablet Xoom?

And is there something that will tell us about the Xoom when a Xoom firmware or an update of the OS will be available for installation?

I know the way that the apps tell us when there is an update but I don't know if it's the firmwares in a way even or OS updates will show.

for non - us xoom, updates are coming us and Motorola xoom, it comes from google.
