  • Sansa Fuze 8 G is no longer grateful SanDisk external memory and locks upwards if I try to used.

I have a G 8 rocket and recently bought a SanDisk 8 GB Micro SD HC.  I had loaded movies and music on the SanDisk via Rhapsody map.   Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago.   My PC no longer sees the external memory through Rhapsody or my counter top.  In addition, if I plug in the card and turn on the "rocket" - it freezes and won't turn on.

In reading the comments, I have tried the following with these results:

Re formatted Fuze - still does not recognize external san disk card

settings changed to PSG - no change of pc or rocket

changed the parameters of meteorological service of Canada - no change to detonators - pc show an "external drive" additional but unable to do something - States "insert disk" when selected in my computer.

Not sure if it's the Sandisk 8 gb card or the "rocket".

The "rocket" lights up normally without the card inserted?

And you are sure that the card is at bottom, clicked in?

Can you see if something else will read the card - a cell phone, a camera, your computer through a drive?

When I had this problem with my rocket I ended up re-formatting of the "rocket", which you say you did.

You could also put at level or downgrade of firmware by following the instructions in the manual in the Firmware update note: just get the file (if possible x.x.26), unzip and place the fuzea.bin file in the directory root (the Sansa drive letter). He will say that it is the firmware update when you disconnect.

And Yes, it could be the card. And it could be the card slot - which is what I thought that my problem is that when I formatted.

If one is the problem, you will have to replace the broken hardware. But that's what I thought I would have to do until the Format and the fixed firmware my friends, so don't give up yet.

  • What card (16 GB) for this drive? MicroSDHC or Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC?

Hello world. I just bought Fuze + and I wonder about buying an additional card for her. I guess that 32 GB doesn't work (or will it?) but I noticed that he has (at least) two types of MicroSDHC cards. 'Ultra mobile' will work correctly with the drive? It seems to work more quickly, but I don't know if I'll see the difference. I don't want to much about the speed of copying files to the card - work player (very fast, stable, not gel - even if the memory is full). I would like to add that I'm only interested in the music, not play movies or see pictures on it.

Can you give me some advice on the map and useful?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, the 32 GB card works fine with the rocket.  The main advantage of the card (speed) upper class becomes apparent when you use multiple-shot on the camera or video mode.  On the rocket +, even using a device of class 2 or 4, I have problems.

The read/write speed is limited by the processor itself, like the "rocket" + Freescale chip handles the USB transfer and memory access.  The only time where transfer speed is really is when you transfer a huge block of files, which, in my experience, is not too often.  Usually, I transferred a few albums or books or a group of podcasts.

The Sansa, the base map is perfect, especially if it's your main goal of the microSDHC.  Ultra cards are faster, but not a necessity.  They last for years and can find use in different devices.  I saw, on the occasion of the Ultra maps available at prices comparable to basic maps, as much as the larger capacity machines go down in price.

The database (all media) of the rocket + is handled differently from Austria Microsystems Sansas platform.  The firmware is a completely different shape, and the way in which it analyses and stores this information takes much longer than the machines of the EMA.  As many have discovered, having a large collection on the "rocket" takes awhile.  The microSD card speed class has little effect on this process, even if it's successive reading / writing of operations; the database real construction process consumes more time than memory operations.

  • WMP to will not Sync & gives Error Message (8 GB internal/32 GB external)

I have a 8 GB Sansa Fuze w/mic SDCH 32 GB card inserted (bought after reading, it could be used).

The amount of the card and the size is displayed correctly in WMP, Explorer and elsewhere.

The player shows that I have 1 G available on the internal memory and 13 GB on the 32 GB card.

When I tried to sync the new music I get the following message...

"WMP cannot access the file.  The file may be in use, you won't have access to the computer on which the file is stored, or your proxy settings are may not be incorrect. »

It is not a WMP question - I tried to synchronize with another Rocket Player and WMP works very well.  I have also tried to sync the music on this rocket on another computer at home and get the same message.

Any ideas why these programs show 14 GB of available, but the "rocket" will not allow synchronization or copying.

I also, that the drive to Autodetect and have used this rocket for several years now.

There are 5200 songs on this player.  I'm starting to wonder if this Sansa Fuze cannot really work with a 32 GB card.  At the same time, I format the card with Windows 7.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you...

If you do not have the latest firmware, do the update. Might as well. You don't have to bother with the installation of the update, because there will be more updates. Just use the manual method.

Sometimes, for some mysterious reason, formatting of the "rocket" help the external card work better. Don't ask me why - could be stray bits of information floating around several synchronizations.

But as long as you have copies of the content, it is worth a try. Out the 32GB card before formatting.

  • Auto Sync freezes

I have 8 GB Fuze and initially loaded some 1000 songs Ok.

Now, when I try to auto-synch I got at about 1130 and stops the synchronization operation.

Info tells me I always free 2925 MB.

    Firmware is V02.01.17A

I re-formatted, reset, and delete "mtable.sys" and started from scratch and arrive at roughly the same point and it freezes! (Time previous free 2890MB)

I also have a mounted 16 GB uSD card. iniitially I have loaded on 2000 tracks in this, but now can't get anything in it. I formatted the PC drive and started from scratch. No joy.

Have also tried it without the card. All the same.

I also tried the firmware update, but it does not work!

I use Media Monkey (towards 3.1.1.1261) for synchronization

Any ideas would be appreciated, or I give up and send it back?

  • Card micro SD and Rhapsody

I apologize if this has been asked and replied. I looked for this olver all the net and saw different responses.  I'm looking for a MP3 player for my wife, but she needs LOTS of storage.  I really think that she would want the sansa, but I know that she needs more than 8 GB of space.  You can use the micro sd card with Rhapsody-to-go subscription files?

    Thank you!!!

With the sansa fuze, Yes.  You will be able to transfer securities from subscription to the map.

However, the songs work only with the player that you synchronize with... for example if you have two sansa fuze and synchronize you the songs to the card using the fuze1, the songs on the card will not play when you use the card on fuze2.

  • Software update of the Cobcern with FirmWare...

Hello... I just downloaded and updated the installer of the firmware from the sandisk website. (SansaUpdaterInstall.exe)

Then after I got it and reopen my player (sansa fuze) even once, I can't seen mp3 files that I copied before the Installer update. I open the music folder and it is empty, but in the player, I can see all of the mp3 files. Is - this bacause of the installer? How can I do to see the files?

And when I re - connect to my computer, I see no internal memory. I see only two letters of SANSA FUZE G: drive and removable drive H: (SD card)

I think that I have installed the version install evil!

answer me someone as soon as possible please...

Looks like you got the player in MTP mode and the update of the firmware he switched to MSC.

Change it in settings > USB MTP mode & the player will appear as a portable device - Sansa Fuze.

  • Compatibility issue with stereo w/USB Port (and radio too) with the "rocket" GB 2

I bought a 2 GB rocket. In MSC Mode, I downloaded a few songs and I went to connect to my Sony MHC GT222 (with the USB cable), and he said "No Media". Read the manual, I found that the MHC can only read on devices FAT16 or FAT32. My question is this:

Can I format the "rocket" in FAT16 or FAT32? Then what? Download a firmware update, update day, then format the device menu?

Or should I just format the device menu? The unit is Sony too, so the same restriction applies.

Oh, and I can plug a 4 GB microSD card in the "rocket" GB 2? When I bought it, told me that it can only support 2 GB microSD.

    Thank you for your time.

I believe that I have found a workaround. Please have in mind that it is a Sony stereo or a USB car stereo.

And remember also that Sandisk did not test compatibility with Sony, and so this workaround might be replaced by a firmware update.

It worked for my Fuze 2 GB.

    • Have a LCD card and put it in the slot. Preferably a 4 GB, 8 GB or 16 GB, if you have the resources. Reasons later.
    • You connect Fuze on a USB port.
    • Under Windows XP, my computer appears a Sansa Fuze removable drive (say: and a removable drive (let's say I the removable drive after the "rocket" is the LCD map.))
    • Now, the removable disk in a directory called MUSIC (usually the "rocket" already done this a when you plugged the micro card) drag and drop all the music files you want to access.
    • Remove the "rocket".
    • Wait so the "rocket" updates the music database.
    • With the USB cable, connect the rocket in the Sony stereo / car stereo. Press Play. The player is available as a silent reader, and music should start playing.

Why the card must be equal to or greater than 4 GB? Because these cards are formatted in FAT32, and these materials are accessible by the Sony with USB ports. Why with a card? Because the Sony apparently are programmed to recognize a player as a SOLID-STATE drive or an adapter for an SSD, not until the case of the "rocket" (not the technical details, but it's more understandable) and in this case the Sony, even once, apparently recognizes the "rocket" as an adapter for one SSD drive, so the internal memory is invisible. A Pro with this is that the "rocket" can be used in a way as a music for personal tastes in the internal memory and music for work in external memory if you have a Sony with USB port in the car or at the office.

  • Access the micro SD card

I have a Fuze 8 gig and 2 gig micro SD card (SanDisk). I can put files on the card very well, but how do I selectively play the files (songs, images, no matter) of the card, rather than the internal memory?

Well done... It takes a few weeks to get people where you are right now. A little thing... you can rename subfolders but it won't matter because they are not used for navigation

  • What type of memory is my S10-3s use?

I just got a S10-3s, and so far I am pretty happy with it. I had a very bad experience though, and I try to avoid repetition. I wanted to update a block of 2GB memory and so I bought a block when I bought the netbook - the store clerk had a look at the specifications of the computer and gave me a 200 SODIMM block pole.

After arriving at the House, I have then almost wrecked my new laptop because of the ridiculous case design (bag, the person in charge). To see the 200-pin SODIMM doesn't in any way fit into the laptop. From what I can tell, what is needed is a block of 204 pins.

However, when I try Googling for the appropriate memory blocks while comparing the system information about the material, I can't fnd anything of use. Release of material that I'm using a SODIMM 667 MHz block. When I look at blocks 204 pins SODIMM 667 MHz, I get nothing - because 204 pins are for DDR3 and who comes to 1 066 MHz and above. So, who works for the S10-3s? I need to go get my new mem-block replaced by something good, and I really want to avoid having to open my netbook more than once that I need to (because it is Lenovo apparently seeks to top of page Apple in the poor case design).

    Pointers appreciated

Use this one: elixir 2 GB DDR3 204 pins. It uses DDR3 RAMs. It works without bios update

  • FUZE 8GB W / 8GB Ext Mem Question

Bear with me, I'm old and gray... I'm very located with a PC, but quite beginners with digital music. After MANY hours of frustration sorting, editing and re-editing my mp3 tags and unwanted information placed on the net, I think I have finally coherent sorted and usable. I guess that when I added the external memory, it would be seen and used in the same way that my PC uses an extra HARD drive and only access as needed. Really, I want my ROCKET to do is just play everything in my library without any other direction from me, kind of like a good radio station playing just everything what I like. Turn it on and go. My problem is when I try to sync with my PC it stops when the internal memory is full, but I still have more MP3 to sync. Is there a way to just the whole WAD without playlists?

I used mediamonkey to sync.  I separated my music in two folders and use the terminal options to tell him to the one with the drive and folder sync folder b with the card.  You must make two clocks (one for each destination), but it works well for me that other devices with a higher capacity can synchronize two folders.

Although there is much to be said for just drag / drop.  Little more control and is easy to understand.

Is the Board of Directors supported the start-up of a stick USB Mem, or a USB FDD.
