    Hello Don

Before contacting service install OS using Toshiba Recovery CD/DVDs. With digital fingerprints factory settings scan and preinstalled software should work correctly.

Otherwise, you can contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and ask for help. They check the functionality. Addresses and phone numbers, you will find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads > find an ASP.

  • Explain some tags of notebook computer screen

    When purchasing laptops, we usually see several tags such as 14.1 inch XGA TFT LCD (1024 × 768), 15-inch UXGA LCD display (1600 × 1200), screen LCD WXGA 15.4 inch (1280 × 800); 15.4 inch WSXGA + LCD screen (1680 × 1050).

So what of these tags mean?

14.1 inch means that the size of the LCD (diagonal length). The numbers in parentheses are the best resolution.

VGA: full name is 'Video Graphics Array' what equivalent of 640 × 480 pixels.
    SVGA:full name is 'Super Video Graphics Array' which can preventing that 800 × 600 pixels; XGA: full name is "Extended Graphics Array", which equals 1024 × 768 pixels;
UVGA:full name is 'Ultra Video Graphics Array' which is equivalent to 1600 × 1200 pixels; WXGA:full name is "Wide Extended Graphics Array" and equivalent to pixels 1280 × 800 (16:10).

Most portable computer LCD screen resolution and size has a model, like the common 800 × 600 pixels are usually 12.1 inches, 1024 × 768 are usually 13.3 inches or 14.1-inch screen, of course, are all here are the standard specifications, there are also a few non-standard features.

    Hi Martin,

The screen of the computer laptop tags as XGA, UXGA, etc. to describe the resolution of the monitor screen and 15-inch is for example the display size

Different laptops have different screen sizes and screen resolutions. There is no standard for a certain size of screen for example. So a certain display size (e. g. 15.4 inches may have different screen resolutions).

  • HP DV7 - 3065dx notebook computer connect to Internet with crazy upgrade hardware!

    Hello

I want to know if I can upgrade my laptop to connect to Internet.

    My unit ~ DV7-3065dx

I would like to add: 4G WiMAX chipset mobile broadband (and pay for the service contract to have internet service)

My unit has been improved to 8 GB of Ram.

Is it possible to do to the laptop and to operate that way rather than using WiFi or Ethernet connections?

Basically, I want to use anywhere, because, with having to use a cell phone hot spot or something like that!

I hope I'm clear on my intentions? What is an option I can do regardless of the cost of the upgrade?

If so, can I get the details so I can do it and find like Verizon or At & T to put in place a contract with a service company?

    Thank you!

P.S. If I can't do that, what model of laptop latest 17inch buy who has these features already built in the factory?

    Hello sunsetMR,

There are at least two options available to upgrade your computer in support of WiMAX. One of the options is, Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350 and Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150. There are several manufacturers and different cards you can choose from. To ensure that the card is compatible with your computer, as well as with the service provider you choose.

The other option I would choose personally, would a USB adapter. If search you in Google, '4 G LTE USB internet', you can choose between multiple USB drives and service providers. It would take the guess work out of finding a compatible card and install in your laptop.

    Kind regards.

  • HP G62-407DX notebook computer Bluetooth does not

I have a HP G62 407DX laptop running Windows 7 OS. It's my first attempt to get the Bluetooth running on this system since I bought it 2 years ago.

Please correct me if I've done all this evil.

-Module Bluetooth has not been detected on my device manager or Wireless Assistant so I checked the specifications of my computer. I realized that Bluetooth drivers may be missing for my model and decided to download the same on the site.

-I think I found the correct drivers here - http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5...   I took the Ralink/Motorola Bluetooth card driver from this list.

-However when I try to run the software I get the following error message "" Bluetooth hardware must be put on run this installation package.

-I don't know how to solve this problem. I read somewhere maybe some BIOS for Bluetooth setting must be enabled, but I see no mention of Bluetooth in my BIOS settings.

I'll be unable to get the bluetooth works until I have buy an external Bluetooth device, or something?

    Please notify.

    Hello

As mentioned above, your machine doesn't have a built-in Bluetooth, it is a piece of hardware, the software alone cannot do this job as if by magic. Yes, the BT dongle should come with a software/driver or it can be integrated into Windows.

    Kind regards.

    (b) click on enable or disable.

Note: On some models, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable or disable the touchpad. For example, just do Fn + F7 or F8.
