  Apparently, this was caused by an outdated ATI graphics card driver. I recommend upgrading your graphics card driver to resolve this issue. Should work fine then

  Hi, thanks a lot for your help. My friend told me it may have been a MP4 file to download vlc player, I did and it has worked on this. My brother has copied the disc for me so I don't know what it allows to copy the disc or what format it was, Im not very technically aware! : s but it works now so woop! Thank you guys

  I tried a variety of formats, MP4, WMV, and AVI.  I even tried to play the video that I have seen and edited on this machine in the latest with no joy.  Windows is completely up to date.
