Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

According to your description, my guess is that the program that you used has replaced the boot files on the hard drive, NOT on the flash drive. Thus, your PC no longer starts.

To resolve startup problems, you need access to a PC for this phase of work in order to create the necessary support to fix your PC boot loader.

You will need to create something called a CD-ROM to repair Win7 - which you could have done for free when Win7 was working.  This will repair the boot loader files, and if that is the problem, your PC will start OK after that.

But now, which can be obtained (with supplement) from this link: http://neosmart.net/blog/2009/windows-7-system-repair-discs/

When you download this file, it will be an ISO file.

To make a CD bootable it, you will need to download and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

Once you have installed, run, select the option "Save image to disk file" and select the downloaded ISO file and that it points to a blank CD.

To make a USB bootable of it, you will need to download and install RUFUS: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Once you have that, it is executed in the input of the unit, use the drop down menu to select the USB stick.  Near the bottom right, where is written 'Create a bootdisk to aid', select the ISO file downloaded.
-------------------------------------

Boot from the media that you have created and follow the instructions in this link: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

You will probably need to run Startup Repair three times for him to fix all the boot loader.

Once completed, your PC should start OK.

Good luck

    http://www.OSNews.com/story/20795/Installing_Windows_7_on_the_Aspire_One_or_Any_Other_Netbook

I followed all the steps in the guide without problem.  Windows Explorer shows the drive is NTFS.  I can copy all other files of ISO on the FlashDrive without problem.  Only, I can't copy this file.  I tried to copy it to my hard drive rather than on the flash drive, and it still does not work.

I tried to create a file with the same name by using Notepad to see if there was a problem with the file name.  I can copy this file on my hard drive flash drive, but I can't always copy the ISO file.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: Realtek Wireless adaptor not working not not after installing Windows 10

Realtek Wireless adapter TRL 8723 BE stopped working after I installed Windows 10.

The device is visible in the Device Manager list and is supposed to work normally, but I do not see in the network connections Control Panel. Tried a few simple patches like the installation of driver was last updated, uninstall and reinstall the device, roll back etc with no joy.

In the events log in the properties in Device Manager there is the following statement

    PCI device

    \VEN_10EC & DEV_B723 & SUBSYS_2231103C & REV_00\4 & 1477abb7_ & 0 & 00E2 also requires installation

I understand there are others on the various forums out there who have similar problems, but HP and Realtek are slow to come to any kind of a simple fix. Can anyone help?

You need to do a password reset disk before you forgot your password, not later.

f you forgot your password for Windows, there are several ways to retrieve or reset:

    • If your PC is on a domain, your system administrator must reset your password.

    • If you use a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online. For more information, see the Web to reset your password page.

    • If you use a local account, use your index of password as a reminder.

If you've tried these suggestions and still unable to connect:

    • If you have Windows 8.1, you will need to reinstall Windows.

    • If you have Windows RT 8.1, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your PC.

  • HP Pavilion x 360 n014na: HP Pavilion x 360 n014na touch screen not working not not after installing Windows 8.1

Please help, I'm desperate.  I searched for weeks without any solution.  I have a HP Pavilion x 360 n014na, when I bought it I installed Linux immediately and have been using it this way without problem.

However, I decided that I wanted to go back to 8.1 for Windows as the main operating system.  I was not able to make a USB recovery in time when I bought the laptop, so I used a legal copy obtained directly from Microsoft.  It has detected my BIOS on the product key and activated correctly, all devices work.   Except the touchscreen unresponsive.

I went to the support page for my machine model, downloaded and updated all the drivers.  There is NO drivers for the touch screen.  I contacted Microsoft, the drivers are provided by HP and they have not.

I have seen that others complain and no resolution, just a pointer to a page for Windows 8 (not 8.1) with outdated information.  It is NOT a hardware problem.  It IS a driver problem, IE. There is no driver available anywhere.  I am not a novice, I have worked with computers professionally for decades.

Need help please, I just need a link to the driver, not a page with obsolete or non-applicable information.

No, no.  Having to purchase replacement media is not a solution.  I said I got a legal copy of the Microsoft Windows Installer, I have a product key integrated in the BIOS.  I won't spend more money for something that I own.

As it is a common complaint, here's what I did:

The solution was to check the HP drivers for I2C and GPIO are present and loaded correctly, he will be seen in the device under "Human Interface devices" Manager  They appear originally HID-compliant touch screen driver, get these right and the touchscreen should work after a reboot.  I had to install both times that something must have gone wrong the first time.

  • Pavilion dv6t-7000 failed to create a virtual hard drive for a dual boot Windows 7 / windows 8

Hi, I just bought this system, a Hp Pavilion dv6t-7000, Enterntainment CTO notebook PC.  I want to take the amount of space between the C drive and create a virtual hard disk.

Disk 0 is severed as follows:

    System:

199 MB NTFS; Primary partition, Active system

C: 678.60 GB NTFS; Boot, page file, crash dump, primary Partition

D recovery: 21,53 Go NTFS; Healthy primary partition

HP_tools 108 MB Fat 32; Healthy primary partition

I would take 50 GB on C: and create a virtual hard disk to install windows 8 to have a dual boot system.  Can someone point me to a credible link that describes how do this or share the solution?  I tried a process described in TechRepublic where you create a virtual hard disk, and then start on Windows 8, shift f10 in an admin window and try to use diskpart select vdisk file that does not exist, that is to say, I'm not.

Is there anything else I need to do?  I can do this via disk management?

    Thanks much for any info.

I found this process is here.

It seems similar to the process of the technology of the Republic, but it has a few key differences. Give the TechNet process a try it may work because of the extra steps, he has.

  • install windows 7 on pavilion g6 2346-nr

My pavilion notebook 2346-nr G6 came with Windows 8, which I hate. I have Windows 7 and I want to install it. After disabling secure boot and activation of the os legacy in the bios I have Windows 7 on my key USB to start and run the installation however, it says that I need a cd/dvd drive device driver.  I tried the nanny Intel storage driver, but it does not work. Where can I get the driver he needs?

I found this on google and it solved my problem!

I guess that each of you is using USB key to install.

When Windows request driver, click Cancel. You will be taken back to the Welcome screen. At the Welcome screen, remove your USB key, insert back to the DIFFERENT USB PORT. Click Install now again. The installation process will be as usual.

This problem happened to the newest version of the Windows 7 Installer updated. In my opinion, it's because of the failure of Windows install to stay its detection on the USB drive. He has lost the connection and became confused, don't know where to find the USB key that he used to read before.

When we re - insert the USB, Windows install detects the rear USB and continue as usual.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6310y: need standalone Serial ATA Drivers to install Windows Vista on Pavilion p6310y

I bought your desktop Pavilion p6310y on eBay, and I really like it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it without problem. For the purposes of running the software (in particular, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007), I also want to install Windows Vista Ultimate on it, on another partition.

I was under the impression that Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - Bit was originally installed the operating system when this system was released, however, when I start the installation support Windows Vista (which I created from a downloaded ISO), it requires additional drivers (no doubt, Serial ATA drivers) before instalatio, also no hard drives appear in the drive list. Anyone know where I can get these independent Serial ATA driver files? The controller is a NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller. I do not have the recovery of original installation disks and don't think that it would be possible to get to this point, this system is no longer supported by HP.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

    Mark W. Stroberg

    Hi, Mark:

I compressed upwards and tied the driver for the sata raid controller, you require to the nvidia chipset, that your PC has below.

The best way to install the driver is as follows...

Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without any folder.

With the flash player and the support of Vista installation in the machine, boot from the Vista installation media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope that Vista will install.
