  Try a Hard Reset as follows.

  Shut down the laptop.  Remove the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the power button for a minute.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

• Motorcycle display dark hours ago?

  The only driver that works is that you will probably need to manually install the chipset driver, and if your video card is listed as the graphic base Microsoft Map, you might have to manually install the graphics driver too.

  To manually install the chipset driver, download and run the W7 x 64 file again. Conclusion of any errors that may appear.

  Go to Device Manager and click on the coprocessor in need of drivers. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select travel it my computer for the software method and locate the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.  Who will be in C:\SWsetup\sp45169.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and I hope that the driver will be installed.

  Do the same for the video card driver if you do not see the nvidia graphics card listed under Device Manager cards display section.

  When I close the lid of the machine goes into mode 'sleep'. When I open it back it does not. This happened 2 days ago, and before that everything worked very well.   Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem, but I'm not exactly sure how. I think that it started after I used it on battery until what drain you completely. It was working fine before that. I have lots of update on the system since the Lenovo Update Manager, shut down the computer, took battery and AC and pressed the power button. All assembled again and booted up normally. Now everything works. I can close the lid causing the laptop to go to sleep and he took over when I open it. No more problems at startup.

I am certainly in need of a new computer, but have given up pretty much to import pictures from my cell phone and a digital camera because it never detects the latest photos taken more! I have literally THOUSANDS of duplicates at this stage. I just connected my phone to try to import pictures from the family vacation last week, and it has detected more than 7,000 photos! ... that would be all THE photos stored on my phone files! I went through this before, and in desperation, waited for-e-ver and allowed pictures of transfer (with resulting from thousands of duplicates). Is there a solution? I went in the gallery settings photo and fact ensure that the import settings were on Original filename... and went to Microsoft updates and necessary update is no longer available for security reasons. Help! UGH! Photo gallery becomes a unmanageable mess of useless!

• Burst of corner ZR2440w

  Out of the box my new ZR2440w showed horrible bright spots in four corners when displaying dark colors, even in low light (30%), the lower left corner being the worst. Similar to the glow of slab IPS, but in static part (backlight bleeding?). Lightly press the bezel on the sides moved around a little points of light.

  Surprisingly, after using the monitor for two days, this problem seems to have erased partly itself - to a point where it is still noticeable, but * almost * acceptable as normal IPS glow. And it's not not my getting used to the effect; photos I took really show reduced points of light.

  Thank you for the information. I did further research, and you try a second monitor has verified what I suspected. Basically, it's a reflection of the LCD under the cover, or essentially backlight bleeding. It's not a default and shared by all, and not much can be done to clear the bleeding. I graphics card had been using HDMI to connect to my tv all the time, but when I updated the driver for a day it stopped completely working... now whenever I plug the cable HDMI to my laptop, the screen turns white and I hear the sound it makes when it detects a device , but television shows nothing, then when I unplug it because nothing happens I hear noise when you remove a device, but the screen stays blank and I have to restart to access the computer. Once I hit fn + f4 for connecting the projector and duplicate selected, so when I pluged in tv, he did not have the screen turned off but is still 'no signal' on tv, when I open the nvidia Control Panel and looked in "set up several screens", the TV was listed it there...
  I tried to connect via HDMI on different TVs AND using different cables... no luck... which leads me to think that it is the graphics driver.

  I've updated my player to 306.97 version so I tried switching with an older version (285.62), but still no luck... is there anywhere I can get an older driver?
  I got to 2008 and never put computer to update the graphics driver until recently this year... but the older drivers that I see are 2011
