G60-642NR notebook: backspace key

My back key fell.  I can put it back on or I have to drink another?  If I put it on, how to do?  If I have to buy a new one, how do I that?  Should I replace the entire keyboard?

Hello

You can try to link the key by using the following instructions.

  • Why the BACKSPACE key to navigate to the previous page, instead of just a rear back on what I'm typing?

This happens all to often; I'm filling out a form online and I made a mistake and press the BACKSPACE key and then Firefox navigates back one page rather than just a return back on the text. Because of the endless amounts of frustration that I then have to re - fill in the form that I was trying to fill.
I have disabled this feature in all: config, but is not a viable solution because it gets overwritten every time that happens an update of Firefox.

This feature can only be got rid of completely, or have an option to turn off?

You shouldn't lose pref settings when you update Firefox.
In this case you have most likely a problem with your security software or other software of cleaning that restores the settings.

You want to be sure that a pref change then you can use the user.js file to initialize this pref at each start by copying its line in the file prefs.js to it.

  • The internal keyboard BACKSPACE key does not work

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite and the BACKSPACE key does not work.

He will start work the rare opportunity, but then it just stops working again.
This happens on everything, including word and internet ect.

It has been like that for a few weeks now and I turned the laptop and turn off many times.
Is there a way to fix it myself or I send for repair?

    Please, * don't * tell me:
    Get an external keyboard
Try it turn on and off
Just highlight the words and use the delete key - it's annoying to have to do this all the time
Type carefully and do not make so many mistakes

    Thank you!

    > Please, don't tell me not to:
    > Get an external keyboard

And why shouldn't t someone recommends you to check the functionality using the external keyboard?

It s recommended to connect an external keyboard to verify how the BACKSPACE key would work using 2nd external keyboard. In case the back might work properly using USB keyboard, the question is very clear; in such cases its main shortcomings. The key cannot be replaced or changed or fixed. In this case, need to replace the entire keyboard!

In case the BACKSPACE key does not even using the external keyboard, then this would mean that the internal keyboard controller is faulty and in this case only the replacement motherboard would be useful.

But to be honest, I think that its simple keyboard failure and a replacement would solve this.

Anyone help out me on how I would go to get a replacement?

Useless Toshiba site can't find one thing.

As far as I know that it is not possible to Exchange simple buttons just the entire keyboard. Call the Toshiba service. Maybe they have a keyboard used, where you can get the necessary button.

    Hello 2bzefran,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

First of all, try to use a keyboard to another system to exclude the possibility of a defective keyboard.

Second, take a look under Start > type access in the search box > click ease of access Center

Under explore all parameters, click make the keyboard easier to use

Look under make it easier to type > uncheck the box for the keys activate the filter

    Hello

Try the keyboard on another computer to see all the works.

If a laptop, try a USB keyboard to see if it is a hardware problem or software.

    See you soon.

  • AF:autoSuggestBehavior in af:inpuptText of postbacks problem w / BACKSPACE key

Hi all, I am new to ADF and need help with workaround for this problem. Basically, when I try to use the af op: autoSuggestBehavior in the af:inpuptText component it seems that after you enter two characters, one at a time with the break between the two (for example, where the first character is of ' brings back all of the suggested items 10, and the second character is 'y' which narrows down to a single proposed item) and then clicking the BACKSPACE key once to get rid of the last character input the return key back does not initiate the postbacks so the result set of suggested elements never refreshes and remains at 1 instead of back to 10. Here are snippets of my BackingBean and the jspx page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I created SR 3-2230550051 yesterday for that matter because I have the same problem.
The problem seems to be associated with IE7. With Firefox, the BACKSPACE key works as expected.

@Shay: this issue is reproducible too with Oracle and IE7 components demo.

Don't know if it is the cause of your particular environment, but I've seen this problem before and it is thanks to the NumLock key on.

  • How to disable the 'backspace' key to navigate back to a page?

Several times during the last two weeks, I type up a very well thought answer on Facebook in political conversations with friends. An hour or two in my work, I struck back with the intention to edit what I wrote (perhaps after I scroll or something, then maybe I unintentionally took out of the home, the editing window). The browser takes back me a page and I lose my two hours of work. Exasperating! Shortcuts with the possibility to erase two hours of work should be able to disable. Not only that, I feel a dangerous shortcut for this same reason, which would have added a SHIFT modifier key, or something like that. I think that I invented a cool word: disable-able.

You can set the integer pref browser.backspace_action at 2 on the topic: config page to disable rollback action. BTW, shift + return back do the reverse: move forward if possible, so that is taken as well.

Your model of laptop is not known to me, but in case the external USB keyboard works correctly, then the key issue must be linked to a malfunction internal keyboard.

In this case the internal keyboard should be replaced to solve the problem.
