G61 465sl: change windows with microsoft iso 10

Hi all

If I download windows 10 iso original and I use the back on laptop key (key OEM windows 7)

can I update my laptop?

Hello

No, you can not use the key of Windows 7 to install Windows 10. You can only upgrade Windows Windows 7 to 10 and you don't need to enter the key when upgrading to Windows 7.

Kind regards.

8.1 Windows with Bing is a free version of Windows 8.1 with low price systems. Know, it seems that Windows 8.1 with Bing being free, Microsoft did not provide the .iso image file. This means that you can not install clean unless you buy a new license of Windows. This isn't something I agree with, and I hope that Microsoft change their mind.

In the meantime, I would recommend installing the file .iso Windows 10 image.

I left a few comments for the tool for creating Windows Media in this thread:

Please comment there your experience on Windows 8.1 with Bing, I hope that someone at Microsoft will read the thread and Microsoft will revise the downloader again.

  • Windows7-USB-DVD-tool does not have a Microsoft Windows XP/SP3 ISO

I am trying to create a bootable USB key to reinstall Windows XP with Service Pack 3 on my laptop Dell Latitude D820 that seems to have a CD player fault. I used a Microsoft technet subscription to download the ISO of Windows XP with SP3. I downloaded and installed Windows XP with SP3 Windows7-USB-DVD-tool but when I select the ISO file, Windows7-USB-DVD-tool tells me that this is not a valid ISO file. I'm guessing that Windows7-USB-DVD-tool is designed to install only the ISO files that have been purchased via the Microsoft Store, which is the case, I downloaded Windows7-USB-DVD-tool of.

I've tried other tools and programs to create a bootable USB key with the ISO image, but the USB resulting either don't start completely or the tool used a format boot of Linux which does not the Windows Installer to run.

    Hello

The tool seems to work only with some ISOs, so I suggest you try to download a Windows ISO from one different location other than TechNet.

    Hope this information helps.

  • needing to know if Windows XP Professional SP3 with the ISO Image (single user) is a 32 bit OS

need to change my OS xp for College, I have a 32-bit laptop and ifWindows do not know XP Professional with SP3 ISO Image (single user) is a 32 bit OS

    What is the file size.

The x 86 .iso should be 589 MB (617,756,672 bytes) in size.

SHA1 hash value must be: 1C735B38931BF57FB14EBD9A9BA253CEB443D459

Download and install of SlavaSoft HashCalc
    HASH, CRC, AND HMAC CALCULATOR
    http://www.SlavaSoft.com/HashCalc/index.htm

For Windows. ISO file just place checkmarks in the boxes of SHA1 and CRC32.

In the main window of HashCalc "data format" box located in the top left corner should be set to "file".

In the 'Data' field, click on the... located at the top right and then click 'Cancel' If you get a "Insert disk" window pop up.

After clicking cancle, you should see a window 'find '. This allows you to navigate to the folder where your. ISO file is stored and click on the file.

You should now see the. ISO file that you clicked on listed in the box 'File name' located at the bottom of the "Find" window

Now click on the button 'open '. The data field should now show the path of the directory/folder and the name of the. You have selected the ISO file.

With only the SHA1 and CRC32 checkboxes are checked (do not place check marks in all the other boxes as this can slow the time it take to calculate values) click on the 'Calculate' button at the bottom of the main window of HashCalc.

It will take anywhere from 30-60 seconds for the calculation and the SHA1 and CRC32 data values to display.

These values are not case sensitive, so a lower case 'a' is the same as a capital letter "A" to the extent where results are concerned.

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

  • Windows 10 replaces Adobe apps with Microsoft applications.  Is this legal?

My laptop updated my Windows 10 version 10 version 1511 and entered my settings private and changed my Adobe to Microsoft document viewer.  Seems to me they're trying to get out the image by changing my settings to use Microsoft Adobe.  I know that if I were Adobe, I'd be very sorry with private parameters them of people with access to remove the ability of Adobe to open documents for users who have specifically chosen Adobe for this function.  It took me hours to put the changes that they facts back to the way I wanted to.  I asked Microsoft on a chat line on the subject twice, and they me disconnected both times.  It seems that they don't like people like me questioning their invasion of privacy.   Is this legal?  Doesn't seem fair.

You should be able to restore the preferences for the type of PDF viewerl

I have seen this with Microsoft Edge and all I had to do was launch IE or Edge parameter allows to open the URI in IE.

Adobe and Microsoft have been Duel for years. It's cheaper, not to enter a legal action. If Adobe means any chance of legal victory, it will very probably ben in the EU where Microsoft has already lost a suit of restraint of trade, but given that Microsoft provides another Microsoft Viewer could not be convicted.

Original title: Windows Live Hotmail only opens a new window links e-mail composition!

I recently put my Windows Live Hotmail account to my default e-mail client in Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows XP SP3 System. Unfortunately, whenever I click on a link to e-mail on a Web page to open a new message, Hotmail tells me, "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Hotmail right now", and a new/compose message window does not open. I disabled the HTTPS option in Hotmail, which fixed the problem. However, when I went to do a manual update of Windows, I am nailed with a Trojan horse! Apparently, the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials have been affected by turning off HTTPS in Hotmail! It's 2012, and it's terribly disappointing that Microsoft only has not ironed out all the imperfections in these services now. If anyone can give me a solution (in simple terms), I would appreciate it!
