G62-219WM recovery disks does not

Hi, I recently tried recovery (Win7 Home 64 bit) through the partition recovery on the computer itself, after the computer has a bad virus. I got some error messages (don't remember exactly now) but suffice it to say that the recovery has not worked. I get a message every time I turn on the computer:

"BOOTMGR missing".

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»

I could always get into the recovery mode, but would still get the error recovery failed.

Apparently, I neglected to do the recovery disks initially, and I also no PC on DVD backup system image.

I bought the HP factory records and received them yesterday. I installed the and had no message that something was wrong. I thought that they would solve my problem, but once the system rebooted and finished "installation files", she returned to the BOOTMGR message. I can't even get in the way of recovery through the computer more, it seems, there is no recovery partition more despite records saying they made a. After researching and trying different tips and tricks and sneak in to watch the files on the computer itself, I assumed that Windows is not yet officially installed on the computer. The C:\ drive is almost completely empty save a few files/folders, there is a "(X:\) bootdisk with all windows files, but they do nothing. There is also an icon for the Recycle Bin, and Control Panel, but they come with errors that they do not exist if clicked.

I tried to delete the partitions and start again then recovery disks, but that doesn't seem to change anything. I also downloaded an ISO that starts the computer into recovery mode, but he finds no OS, and I tried to go to the entry screen and typing in various orders directly, but even once, cannot find the files that Web sites suggest you to change or correct.

I'm doing something wrong? It seems that the HP recovery disks have made things worse!

I ordered Windows 7 from Amazon, but being that it's so expensive, and I begin to doubt even that will fix my problems, I wanted to see if there was nothing left to try, or if I was doing something wrong.

I was working with my friend last night who knows a lot about Windows and computers in general, but he came up to the top with the same fixes that I had already tried, and they have not worked for him either.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hello

I never used the "phone Activation" when using this method (activation online certainly has not worked in the past when you use an OEM product key), but recently, I had a response from someone who I had suggested this procedure, saying that it enabled online so I can't say for some others I know that activation of the phone always worked when I used this method.

Kind regards

    Hi dimation,

It is difficult to say what is the reason of this but made is either it s a laptop problem itself or the recovery disc (e.g. scratches) causes this problem.

In my opinion the best way to check this using a Microsoft Windows disk. If the installation completed successfully, you need a new recovery disk. As a result, you can ask a service provider authorized in your country! :)

  • HP ENVY 17 - 1190nr l 3D: recovery disks does not not for HP Envy 17 - 1190nr

My main HARD drive died. Toshiba 500 GB MK5056GSY was the 'C' drive factory installed. The laptop also has a "D" drive, which was the same exact brand, model and size.  (secondary HARD disk does not work at all. Long story, but I think it is a driver or a hardware problem with the motherboard)

I overwhelmed the secondary HDD at the location main, reformatted and reinstalled the operating system with the set of recovery DVD 7, SUCCUSSFULLY disks.  But, since I can't have a second HD to wor, I decided to spend the primary HARD disk capacity, so I installed a Seagate 1 TB HARD drive.  Now, I have reinstalled the operating system using the recovery discs 7 DVD and when the 7th finished disc, a window open warning that says "Recovery manager cannot restore your computer using the original image. "Please contact the HP support (Yes right, it's a joke) error code: 0xe0ef000e.

I also tried to install the operating system with the recovery of a 240 GB SSD disks. Same question.

BUT, the original secondary drive allows the operating system recovery 7 DVD image reset goes to work.

    WHY?

Finally, if I install a stand alone Windows 7 OS for the new Seagate 1 TB drive, it works fine.  The problem is that all additional drivers, programs etc. provided with the laptop originally are net, just a light version of Windows 7. The works of the OS, but the wireless, the blueetooth, readers of cards, etc. do not work. And missing a few programs that comes with the original image (some are too expensive to buy when I wouldn't need it again).

Thanks for any idea on this issue.
HP makes me very angry today.

    Hi, Nick:

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience in troubleshooting these special software installations.

We should expect to download and install.

If they are not, I have no tricks up my sleeve for you to try.

I recommend starting a new thread describing your questions with this software and hope that someone else in the support forum can help you with these items.

    See you soon,.

  • Satellite L350-170 - recovery disk does not work

    Hello

I have a L350-170 running Windows Vista home, I recently buy a Toshiba restore CD and now that it's happened, it does not work.

I put in the CD and boot from the CD drive, I can hear work and the display shows "Windows loading files" and a bar appears at the bottom of the screen, after that, the screen turns white and all I'm left with is a pointer of the mouse and a black screen.

    Hello

Have you tested if the laptop would start using another bootable Linux Live CD, WinPE or Win XP disc?
Please check that would help determine if the problem is related to the computer laptop or recovery disk.

Please also check if the HARD drive is ok. For this test, you can use a test called Drive Fitness Test free HARD drive tool. Google for it.

However, it could also be a defective recovery disc and in this case, you should get in touch with the guys where you ordered this drive may be you need a replacement.

    > NB. If I restart the laptop start date and shows BOOTMGR is missing Ctrl Alt Del to restart...

Hmm... for me, it seems that the laptop does not start from the disc (DVD), but it attempts to boot from the HARD drive...

In any case, have you tried to boot from another disk; for example, Win XP, Linux Live CD?
To do this, and check if it is possible... If Yes, format the HARD drive and try to boot from the recovery again disc!

PS: Have you tried a HARD drive recovery option?
Turn on the unit, press F8 and choose fix my computer
After that, select Toshiba HDD recovery option if possible.

  • Satellite C650 - error reading disk and the recovery disk does not work

    Hello

I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.

I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.

As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but of course, there must be a problem with the HARD drive. Can you get a second one for test purposes and exchange it. Just to be sure if the HDD is troublemaker.

    But there is something else:
    > I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other computer acer laptop...
Sorry, but I don t understand this. Can you please explain what you did exactly?

  • Recovery disk does not start

I'm helping a friend with his HP CP61-313US laptop. Somehow, it's not boot from the hard drive. It attempts to load Windows, then crashes, gives me the black screen where you can choose the safe mode, safer networking, etc.

He will not start in safe mode or other options. It does not start from the last good configuration.

I ordered the HP recovery discs and disc inserted one of the stimulus. It won't boot from the CD. I went into the bios options and set the CD drive as the first option. I did both of in the settings BIOS F10 and F9 startup command settings. I hear work the CD player, but he keeps trying to boot from the hard drive.

I never get a message that says something like "press any key to boot from the CD-ROM."

Is there anything else I can do to force startup from the CD/DVD?

Is it possible that I can copy this HP on a flash drive recovery myself and try to boot from a flash drive. I guess it is possible that the DVD/CD player is broken. My friend who owns the computer used rarely to the reader.

Is there some other bios setting I can use? Either by the way, I ran the memory and hard drive diagnostics and they passed.

I have determined that the DVD drive on this laptop is bad or is about to fail. I tried to create a Windows repair CD and was able to read the CD. It would give me the message "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" that I was not getting with restore disks factory HP. I put restore HP factory disks in another computer and tried to copy them. I thought that, perhaps, if my drive was any failure there is something on the factory records it would not read but maybe a freshly burnt disc copy can read. It would be almost from the start. He would try and then getting errors of e/s on the copied version of the disc. I came to the conclusion that I could find other uses for a drive DVD external USB and since they were only $40 I have advanced and bought a. I now restore since the original HP recovery discs successfully using the external DV

Key USB D. I had to upgrade the bios to boot from the DVD USB drive, but it seems to work. So you can consider my original request as 'resolved', but I can't speak for other users who have hung on this thread. But if someone has trouble with their discs original HP, I would suggest trying to make a copy of their, and maybe a copy will work. The copy almost worked for me.

    Hello

It's not easy to say what's wrong with the 2nd recovery disk.
I would recommend formatting the HARD drive completely and try again to recover the operating system. If it doesn't work, well try to contact Toshiba. Here, you can order the recovery CD. Maybe the problem of recovery will be solved as a gesture of goodwill.
Nevertheless, the recovery cd is not expensive.

  • C870-121 satellite recovery disk does not work?

I have the Toshiba system recovery DVDs 4 disc, I insert the sytem disc and look as it should, it loads and then it ask disc of recovery disks, insert disk 1, and after 10 seconds it ejects again and claim a disc again.

I checked the 5 discs on my other computer and there are data on them and they look good, I tried to insert the discs to see if I'm past them when I printed on them, nothing works, it simply will not recognize disc and I'm stuck? Any help from anyone?

    Hello

    Very strange boyfriend
Would it be possible that the CD/DVD drive is unable to read the first disc correctly?
I mean, maybe it's a disk problem and not the problem with the data

I don't know what's wrong here, but you have some a lot of m options here:
To recover the laptop, you must use the Toshiba recovery disks or HARD drive recovery
You can use the HARD drive recovery process?
Turn on the device, press F8, choose fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery.

If this is not possible? Well. You can always order a new disc here:
