  • Question on size USB for upgrade to blu - ray player

    Hello
I have a question: if I want to move (for example bdx2300) Toshiba blu - ray player, the Toshiba site says (instructions for the installation of the upgrade in the guide 'how to upgrade the F/W'):

"Firmware update requires USB Reader of maximum size of 2 GB. .... "

Is there a restriction on the size of usb, that blu - ray player may take during the upgrade? There is mention of having need a USB 2 GB max size to work... but I only have a key of 8 GB

    Thank you

  • Question about blu ray disc player update for Satellite C850-B124

My Toshiba Tempro is telling me that I have an update for the blu ray disc drive, so I opened it and it said s a package of 32-bit but my Windows 7 is 64-bit, so I'm confused.

Should I download and install? Or I'll just ignore it? I m using Toshiba Satellite C850-B124.
Hope that the guys answer my question

According to specification for laptop, your laptop is not Blu Ray optical disc player. It has the DVD Super Multi drive (Double Layer). You can ignore this message.

  • Question about upgrading to Blu - ray on the S70 Satellite-

I only discovered how easy it is to remove the current DVD on my Satellite S70 writer-(10 seconds) so no problem.

I see that there is a little paw on the back of the writer that allows the writer to be locked in place by the small screw that holds the cover of the HARD/Ramdisk in place

Can I buy a Blu Ray player that has this already mounted pod or I can fit the leg later?

Can someone suggest a Blu Ray player adapted to buy as a direct replacement.

Most of the laptops S70 - A is available with optical drives DVD-multi. Only few of them are provided with 9.5 MM BD - ROM unfortunately, I don't know what model of BD - ROM is exactly.
It is not easy to find information which model can be used on your machine.

I'm not 100% sure but it might be UJ162 UJ-162.

Let's see if someone else can find exact information on this subject.

In any case, in the worst case, you can order it and test it. If there is a problem simply return.

  • Blu ray burning question

    Hi all

Until recently I used PP5.5 (yet) to the author of the Bluray discs without problems.

Since the update to OSX 10.8.3 my Samsung home theater refuses to play any Blu ray I'm burning, however the system Sony in the other room plays without any problems.

Samsung support do not know, and I've tried everything I can think of. Am I missing some settings in Ecore?

I shoot AVCHD on a Panasonic AG-AC130, Adobe PP 5.5 burn on Panasonic BD - r discs

    Apple Mac pro OSX10.8.3 running

    Help please

    Rick

    HI John,.

I tried to do as suggested with the same results. I followed the problem down to the Samsung drive, it seems Samsung are lothe to buy all the different "licenses" Blu - ray and OSX 10.8 uses one of the thte ones they do not hold. I used a wire bypass and the Sony Reader, disorder to be functional.

    Thanks for your help.

  • DVD/Blu-Ray burning - General Question

Just curious - when I burn a dvd or a blu - ray, can I make the DVD itself cannot be copied?  Eric

    NO.

You will need to write your project to DLT (tape) and take this tape to a replication service... that service adds then routine protection against copying (expensive and fairly useless) during the process of creating a "master glass" and your final result is then PRESSED (not burned as happens in a DVD or BluRay burner connected to a computer)

This is a real movie... studio, but all those who really want to copy your product can, with a few minutes of Google search, find a way to do

  • Best way to Blu - ray?

It took 12 hours to compress my 2 hour movie since the FCPX timeline in file sharing/computer H.264 mp4

Now, I want to make a DVD Blu - Ray.  It's exciting, because this will be my first Blu - ray disc!

QUESTION: It would be faster, but all also good quality, to put my mp4 file in the FCPX timeline and make a Blu - ray to drive?

    OR

Go back to the film project/timeline and make sure a project uncompressed 1920 X 1080 Blu - ray player?

    It's a 2 hour movie.

Go back to the film project/timeline and make sure a project uncompressed 1920 X 1080 Blu - ray player?

    It would be better.

  • Playing discs blu - ray in New Zealand

I burned a blu - ray disc and sent to the members of the family in New Zealand. Who can't play TI-no is not recognized. They have a blue-ray player. I understand that Blu - ray is not NTSC or PAL, but there are regional restrictions. What region incorporates the FCP? I can change it to 0 or all regions.  Hello I have this. What other reasons could be?  Thanks for your suggestions!     Burned us spec Blu - ray without problems.  Chris

I can't answer some of your questions, but...

To burn a project to the Blu - ray format in the 'Share' Option, I select... "Master File" (not Blu - ray), which produces a .mov file. This is the .mov file what can I import into my Samsung BD burner for treatment.

Hope this helps, but not sure!

  • Drive Blu - ray BDX1200 play is not all content - sometimes!

    Hello

Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum, but there is no Blu - ray section.

I have a UK model BDX1200 Blu - ray that I bought there is a little less than 2 years.
Recently purchased 2 Blu - ray discs, I found that he would play not all content.

The player seems to be stuck loading the content with a black screen and generally sound as the drive is being spun over and over again and cannot be read.
I have to power off the power at the wall outlet to get the drive working again.

Specifically, I couldn't play most of the peculiarities of The Avengers, although I could get some of them to play by power cycling the player, and the actual film played end.

In addition, I couldn't play the Hobbit film, although I have power rolled several times, and the disc plays on the machine of a friend. I just tried and the film plays without problem, it's an intermittent thing.

I checked the firmware updates, but I already have the latest version.

Anyone has any suggestions, or do you think it is a failure? TIA.

    Hello

    > Also, I couldn't play the Hobbit film, although I have power rolled several times, and the disc plays on the machine of a friend. I just tried and the film plays without problem, it's an intermittent thing.

Well, I put t think its firmware problem, because the same disc worked properly after reattempt.

Maybe it s a question of laser lenses? I had some problems with my camera of player playing DVD discs, because the laser lens was dirty. I used special CD/DVD cleaning kit to clean the lens of the laser. Just an idea that you know...

  • Toshiba BDX5400KR (Blu - Ray) as a digital media renderer (DMR)

Before I get entangled in technical jargon, let me explain what I want to do. I want my PC (Vista at the moment)
    * Explore different media (image, music, video)
    * Growing (Wi - Fi) to a Blu - Ray player which will in turn
    * Listen to the titles to an amplifier and image/video to a projector
(I have no TV so I have virtually no MENU to navigate with, unless I turned on the projector. Not good for streaming music)

    My questions are so
    # How do I act as a DMR BDX5400KR? (according to [http://www.dlna.org/consumer-home/look-for-dlna/product-search] it can)
    # Suggestions on PC software to use? (free / sharing is good.) Rembemer I am running Vista and is not something that I can use WMP)

I checked the manual ([http://www.toshiba-om.net/DVD/PDF/English/BDX5400-English.pdf]), but I couldn't find anything that seemed to describe the features of the rendering engine.

I have not yet bought the Blu - Ray player, and if anyone know an alternative decently price I'm interested as well! Specifications for Toshiba has been good for me, it was what I need. But will it work? No vendor could tell me.

So, basically, I have been downgraded to Muggles and seeks one Assistant there. Please?

Thanks for reading, I hope that many will benefit from the solution to this!

    Hello

Recommend that you check the user manual page * 19 *.

  • MC Affee and Windows Reboot disc and Blu - ray player

I have bought a Toshiba Qosmio X 500 - 14W and my time to test of Mc her end.
I bought Norton AntiVirus but McAffee spam my computer every time. I don't find anything on McAffees support.
    Help, please...
I wanted to have a recovery disc, so I started the recovery program and burn the files on a dvd... but when I started my Win7 nothing happened... Is the DvD OK or not? Maybe it only works if my computer is low but how can I restart my computer?

And I need a program to use my media Blu - Ray disc cause I wanted to watch a Blu - Ray disc but impossible to start... I thougt a pilot program is the operating system, but it wasn't so... 7
Could you give me some tips for the programs that I could use?

    Thank you very mutch...

Paul (German and English answers please)

    > I bought Norton AntiVirus but McAffee spam my computer every time. I don't find anything on McAffees support.
If you cannot use McAffee move the system and only use Norton.
(Control Panel > uninstall or change program).
    > And I wanted to have a recovery disc, so I started the program of recovery and burning the files to a dvd... but when I started my Win7 nothing happened... Is the DVD OK or not?
Sorry, but I don t understand this. New laptop comes with the pre-installed operating system (recovery image). Valuation backup image is saved on the HARD drive and you can use it for any new OS install - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
Toshiba recommends that every laptop owner to create valuation DVD facilities. This DVD can be used for the installation of the OS, if something goes wrong with the HARD drive or recorded the recovery image.
To recovery, DVD creation, that you must use preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Media Creator. This is small application that will burn the recovery image on DVD media. It is very easy and in manuals s explained how it works.

Problem is that I don't understand what your problem is when you write when I started my Win7 nothing happened. Recovery DVD has nothing to with OS boot.
    > And I need a program to use my media Blu - Ray disc cause I wanted to watch a Blu - Ray disc but impossible to start...
As much as I know to watch BR Toshiba drives preinstalled WinDVD BD for Toshiba and you can use this drive BR discs.

    > German and English answers please
Sorry, but only English is allowed.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P750-135 - key FN and Blu - Ray player does not

OK so recently I've noticed a few problems with my Satellite P750-135 with PSAY3E-059002EN part number.

Not words, the button FN done any work, however when the Toshiba flash card settings are configured to enable the mouse above, the functions that I would normally use, for example FN + ESC to mute or FN + F6 to turn down the brightness, etc., the works of service.

The problem has occurred since the drivers updated by a program on my PC but I can not restore the system to a point where the driver has been updated. I uninstalled the driver and installed the driver from Toshiba Web site and tried countless other things without success. Any help would be appreciated.

As for my second question, a while back I tried to play a Blu - Ray movie on my laptop and it works as it is. The drive plays DVD but when a Blu - Ray drive is inserted, the drive whirs, the AutoPlay window opens with no program to read it.

I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The drive in question works on my One Xbox and Playstation 3, and I've tried other discs that don't work.

    Any suggestions?

ccYou know that's not easy to say what the problem is here. When you get new notebook with the settings everything works and all the pre-installed drivers, tools and utilities work well together.
Many people install some updates which are not so important, and then something can go in the wrong direction.
    > The problem has occurred for a program on my PC updated drivers...
To be honest I don't know what program do you have average and exactly what has been updated.
In any case you can try to solve this problem of FN keys is to remove preinstalled Toshiba value added package, restart your computer and install the latest version of the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Utility of flash cards is part of this package and I hope after installation of VAP own this will work properly again.

    Blu - Ray movie question:
BD BD to play drive before graphic driver will change color and switch to Win7 basic running drive Toshiba BD is not compatible with certain Visual elements. Have you noticed this in the past, this automatic switching between the color schemes?
Did you perhaps updated original display driver Toshiba?
    > I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The very fact of start or not?
    This is a bit complicated.

  • Encoded video does not work on Toshiba Blu - ray disc player

I have a problem I'm trying to encode a sequence of images into a video container, but does not work the video encoded on toshiba blu - ray disc player... I use the following command to ffmpeg to encode images and convert a video:

    ffmpeg-i "C:\ManVsWigan\Frames\%d.png" - vcodec libx264 'C:\ManVsWigan\encoded.mp4 '.

I have tried several video codecs but no luck yet
    "- vcodec mpeg4.
    "- vcodec mpeg2video.

If you have an idea please help me

    >... I'm trying to encode a sequence of images into a video container
Please be so kind and try to explain why you need all this?

I mean Toshiba portable computers offers equipped with pre-installed readers and offer laptop owners to enjoy watching BD movies. Everything else is not interesting for s Toshiba support I guess that if I put t think that this question has something directly with Toshiba.

Have you tried to find the answer on another forum?

  • TOSHIBA Blu - ray disc player is not compatible with USB speakers

I have a P850, using speakers USB Z305 Logitch. The speakers work fine with all other multimedia software like WMP, iTunes, or MPC, but not with the TOSHIBA Blu - ray player. Toshiba program won't work or will crash if the speakers are plugged. Someone knows how to fix this?
    Thank you

This Logitech speakers are peripheral plug n play which uses the standard driver and are installed like any other plug-and-play device. I put t have, but I have seen the interesting film on YouTube about this.

To be honest I don t understand why it doesn't work with the Blu - ray TOSHIBA player. I think you're the first person who reported thereon.
Problem is that Toshiba doesn't support third party software or equipment is not easy to find the solution for this.

I really hope that there are users who have fixed or can offer a very valuable tip for this rather strange question.
