  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and I recently installed the Sims 2 DVD Edition. The game itself works very well. He's not planting or lag or cause my computer is turned off.   I know that bbcode 116 is a graphics driver issue but I have the last! It seems to be other people with the same problem especially with the sims 3, but no answers. I was afraid that my food wasn't enough, but this error is not suggesting that this is? I've heard rumors, it's a bug of the game, but not everyone has this problem.

  I have now solved the problem after that talk with pny card - update of the bios manufacturer worked. I tried manually first and failed, but then found that my motherboard driver disks came with a program update that did it for me and I managed to play an hour of sims 3 without worries.

  We use the file dialog box to open the folder of the disk file network hard. Window XP showed the path UNC path, but when we run our application (developed in vba) on window 7, full unc path has been established instead of only last name of the folder.
  example of... UNC path \\abcd\abb\abfolder in window XP file dialog shows "abfolder" and then if we see in looking in then hierarchical set of path can be seen
  but the file in window 7 dialog box shows all the way "\\abcd\abb\abfolde" as it is...

  Everything depends on the game, most of the games have options to run in a window.  Once you've done this open a second instance of the program - assuming that it allows a second run and reduce the options for resolution as well they also well adapted to the screen, or move to a second monitor.   Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site.

  Well first thing to note - if you have Windows Vista, it is a forum for Windows 7, then you might have more luck in the Vista forum.  But second, you noted that you have installed the SIMS 2 Deluxe and the Sims 2 Apartment life and the SIMS 3 pets.  There are no SIMS 3 pets yet (only SIMS 2 Pets).  So who could have thrown people.

  So now REALLY tell you putting a SIMS 3 disc in?  If so, you must install the program first and sometimes automatic execution does.  You can, however, open a Windows Explorer (press the Windows key, key with the Windows Logo on it, down and self-tapping letter E - keep the E or you'll have a whole bunch of windows to the top).

  Then go to your CD/DVD drive and double-click it.  It can start the car then run.  If not, then you can right click on the drive icon and select EXPLORER and then find the file named SETUP.  If you don't see what he, or see the files, then make sure you have a valid PC version of the game and do not have a MAC version (my kids have committed this error several times while getting the library software).

  My daughter had the Sims 3, high expansion pack end Loft, World Adventures expansion pack installed on this computer running Vista Basic. It uninstalled all of them when he started to crash a lot.   I can't help you as to why the will of the dvd player does not read the disc Sims 3 but I am able to offer a work around instead of installing from a cd.  What you could do is download the EA Download Manager (EA's the Sims 3 producers) and with this download and install the game on the internet.  However, this process requires an EA account that your daughter may have created when you first start the game.  It would be the same username and password to access the Sims 3 store online.   Once the EA Download Manager has been finished there should be a tab that says "Log In".  Then after that record in Manager download, it must be another label that says "Activation" on this tab it will prompt you to enter a key of an EA game the Sims 3 and expansions are.  After activation, the tab that has the name of your account, that it should start to download the game.  If it helps any I've tested this method myself as I have a copy of the Sims 3.  Hope this helps and if you need me to clarify something more or that this method is not satisfactory make me know and I will do everything I can to help others.
