  Hi I have a motion graphic project that will be used with several existing PowerPoint presentations. The PowerPoint presentation is 1024 x 768 (4:3) and so I created a custom in After Effects to match this resolution configuration. When I export the file using Media Encoder (so I save a file WMV) video output file has two black borders. Is it possible to export this video as a line right file 4:3 with black borders?

  Are you getting these borders on all sides of the image or just the top and bottom of the screen?  If your laptop is capable of 1080 p, what happens when you set a resolution of 1920 X 1080.  If your screen can only do 720 p then try the 1280 x 720 resolution and see if that makes a difference.

• Vista Home Premium boots with black bands on the sides of the screen and features limited after d/l-ing Windows updates

  My Dell Inspiron 530 has recently started having problems starting. When I turn it on regularly, Windows Vista Home Premium starts with black bands on each side of the screen and your desktop extended / enlarged which does not display the start menu or the taskbar. I can navigate in the Panel, but when I click on the resolution of the screen, nothing happens and I'm unable to change the screen resolution. When I use CTRL and the mouse scroll wheel, I can reduce the size of the desktop icon, but the taskbar, nor start menu appears on the screen. I noticed that I can't start programs when the computer is in this State as well.

  I think that this problem started after I downloaded a game from 3 updates of Windows, but I do not know what updates they were.

  I am able to start safe mode and the office fills the screen normally. I don't know what steps I can take mode without fail to solve the problem of normal startup, however.

  Please let me know I you a glimpse into this situation because it is extremely frustrating. Thank you very much for your help!

  Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

  You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

  But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

  You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

  I was editing a video with premiere elements 13 and everything seems as it should be in the in the software overview screen, but whenever I have the export, apparently regardless of the format, he adds black borders to the video on all four sides.   Don't know how much difference it will make, but try to 1.0 square Pixels.

  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.  I'm pretty new Premier Pro do on 6-7 movies without any problem.  I am very useful tutorials every time just because I don't remember everything that I do not use it enough.  Just returned from Hawaii and wanted to create a movie with a few images that I downloaded and everything in the looks of pane preview fine, but as soon as I add it to the timeline, I have huge black borders and I see only a very small part of the video.  The clip was shot in 1920 x 1080 as all my previous successful films.  I took a screenshot and posted here so you can see what I mean.  Thanks again.

  Your sequence is not set to 1920 x 1080 - he is such to a much larger size. If your film is 1920 x 1080, so that's why your video source displays as an image smaller, surrounded by black.

  You need affect the size of the frame to change in your sequence.

  An easy way to do this is to create a new sequence and drag a source in it. First invites you to match the source footage of the layer you should say yes to.

  GoPros do shoot in a variety of sizes, check your source footage to check exactly what frame size clips are.

  I tried to use the trial version of first elements 8 before buy you to see if it's able to do what I need to.

  I want to create a dvd photo, which is simple. I would like to use the scale feature to get rid of black borders and choose the start or end point of the photo.  the resolution of the photos are also terrible on screen, and when I import out in an uncompressed avi file. The photos are really high resolution and are very well in other programs.  Some of the photos sparkle even with anti flicker option enabled up to 100%.

  Adobe first elements may be able to make a dvd photo, or should I look at another adobe program?

  As Steve, pre can get you a DVD-video or a BD (for HD projects), but these will be on video and will be limited to the resolution of these two broadcast formats. If this is what you want, then the pre will do just fine.

  Regarding the images, I would NOT use all (or many) on the scale. Instead, I want to resize the images to match the size of the frame of the video project in Photoshop. This ARTICLE will give you some information and some advice.

  I have a LG D2342 screen. This screen has 3d Support. I play Battlefield 3. The 3d is running through an application called Tridef 3d. When I start the game with the Tridef he begins to open Firefox, then the firefox would just stop responding and hangs. I love using firefox but currently I can't set it as my default because of this problem.

I know that when I've updated for a reason that I had to try 3 times before it took. It shows that it is updated. I wonder if I have to uninstall and reinstall. Also, I never use Internet Explorer 8 but when I went there to check I found a plug check link there and it showed over there that Adobe Flash Player necessary update but it was an older version and not a Foxfire had updated me too. Now I'm really confused if it causes a problem. I've never had to control Internet Explorer for plug-ins before. Have always just updated to Foxfire since that's what I use. Adobe Flash Player seems to play videos OK not really sure if this is the issue or not. My Java plug-ins have been very well and have been updated some time there, so I know it's not that.   After hours of reading and checking to make sure I had good things enabled, I did, I gave up and uninstalled the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, they gave me and re-installed and later I had my friend get on Messenger and we tried games and it worked this time.
  For some strange reason when I updated it took me 3 tries before it took. So even if he told me that it has been installed, apparently it wasn't really. Just goes to show you that you can not trust what you see.
  What has really scratching my head was I went to Internet Explorer 8, which I never use more and discovered you can now get Mozilla plug in slip out there and when I did showed that same Adobe Flash Player is outdated but it was to a different version. Not knowing if it would help, I installed a new too and he said it was his understanding that it does not. So I guess you can have 1 version installed on the computer 1 despite 2 browsers different different versions. It becomes too complicated for me. Laughing out loud!
  I work with computers all the time at work but not the technical stuff. If it's something simple, I can guess through it to help someone but it's my first personal computer for me and is a former first, so I got experience using different types. We use the desk at work as well. Personally, I like computers laptops for various reasons. And the mention of people many browsers go way over my head.
